There are lots of Skyward Sword references to be excited about in this game ;)
There are so many similarities in Tears of the Kingdom's music that you can hear in Skyward Sword and it's because both take on the Sky aspect of the game series. Definitely something to look for in the game and how they both connect.

3:15 I love how we can hear the shield parry sound and various sounds after it from the trailer. Really hits you just right and immerses you into the game simply from listening to the soundtrack.
I think it's just because the only release of that song has been the trailer, so they have to use its audio

This is essentially a direct rip from the trailer, you hear the gameplay sounds in the background but that ironically makes it even more perfect. The recall hitting at 3:22 giving me goosebumps

Yep I remember the first teaser that they showed and my jaw fuckin dropped, it was so unexpected seeing as from what I knew abour Zelda having a full on sequel wasn't uncommon, but it was unheard of for the next mainline game minus calmaity warriors, to take place in the exact same world

3:15 it's phenomenal that after so many years they can still take elements of the core theme but still add to the leitmotif in very emotional ways. They say that music is the thrill of action without the violence, I totally agree but some Bokoblins might not

All jokes aside this moment is so fucking amazing! I held my 6 month old daughter in front of the 75” tv and when link puts his arms out while skydiving and 2:40 hits she put her arms out too cutest shit ever man. And god damn that melody hits me in the nostalgia going back to my brother and his friends beating me up for playing on their Zelda NES save file through to watching them beat ganon in ocarina and watching the giants hold up the moon in Majora’s mask… right to my first Zelda game I ever bought and owned for myself, link between worlds bringing me immeasurable joy during dark times in the army… all the way up to beating breath of the wild a few weeks ago as a father of 2. 2:40 captures every stage of my life in Zelda experiences lol. Seriously though!

3:12 is probably the most beautiful piece of Zelda music I’ve ever heard. I always get teary eyed at it’s beauty once I’ve had a few drinks.

Man I didn't even catch the first three notes of Zelda's Lullaby right at the end but it rejuvenated the chills after they left from that powerful sax/drum combo. Oh my god this is perfection.

The music in the final trailer was the highlight, it was so unique and different for how much passion you can hear behind the musicians
Nintendo coming in with the original theme of the series at the very end just makes this piece a true masterpiece. Not to mention the Similarity with Skyward Sword as well, the saxophone and drum combo is amazing, we need more saxophone in these themes. And the Erhu, it's such an underrated yet heavily cultured instrument- it has such a beautiful sound and I wish people would explore it more. Now all there is left to answer is: When the hell will Nintendo put their music on Spotify??

What’s that instrument called?
@Zyvics that instrument is called an Erhu. It's like a Chinese violin instrument. But played very different than a normal violin. I love that instrument, has a very mournful sound to it.

I wish this theme would be the new Hyrule field theme! A part of it is reminiscent of hyrule fields from former Zelda games
as amazing as it sounds constantly listening to something this dramatic while traveling from point a to point b on horseback would probably become obnoxious and inappropriate quite quickly. it would be better to save this for the credits or a more important part of the game

And I meant that only for the hyrule field area not the others, I think having it for one area that gave back the epicness of the hyrule field

Tears of the Kingdoms main theme goes so hard, it’s so Cinematic and I love it, and makes me wish we had a Zelda Movie, but also makes me wonder if any other IPs will go for a more cinematic tone like Pokémon or Mario

I’ve always loved Zelda music. I learned how to play some of the OOT, MM and WW songs on the piano while growing up. Listening to this and hearing inspiration from songs all across the series makes me super emotional. I want to hear this live so badly!
