One tip: I completely stopped folding the back wheel under. It didn't save much space, but it DID open the possibility of forgetting to extend it, which will make your cart tip in a flash. Mine tipped back & the handles went into a puddle, and the handle is full of ... ELECTRONICS! Dried it out with rice, then reintroduced the remote to it, and it worked. Would not have been covered by the company. MGI did cover having the front wheel locking mechanism replaced, including a paid trip to Southern California & back for repairs.

This is a good review of the same MGI buggy I have had for 6 years. It performs very well and the Gyroscopic action to keep it tracking in a straight line works really well but this was not mentioned here. Unfortunately, there have been numerous problems with my cart, some covered under warranty and others not. The original axle was too thin and it snapped to be replaced by a thicker axle and new wheels. This was covered by MGI although I had to pay some labour. The remote buttons became sticky and the control was replaced under warranty. The clip on the back of the remote control; can easily break, so be careful. The main rotary controller has also been replaced. I am now on my third set of wheels (not cheap) as the hubs of the wheels keeps getting 'chewed' out. A number of pins on the stub axles have also been replaced. The battery has performed and lasted well and it is important to follow MGI instructions carefully for battery care. The accessories are expensive and not particularly high quality. The attached bag I bought has small and weak zip handles which break quite easily. It was replaced by MGI even though it was out of warranty. The seat, which is also an extra, is not a good design and rattles with the velcro on the lid not lasting well. It has just had the gearbox replaced which included new axles etc and is a whole new assembly , so even though this was an expensive repair, hopefully it will give a longer life to the buggy. So overall, it is a good performer but has been quite troublesome over the years. One good feature of this whole experience has been the prompt supply of spare parts which eases the worry, to a degree. The gyro is the best part of the operation of the buggy but I would have to seriously consider whether I would buy another MGI. Have I just been unlucky or are these issues and problems common to this model?

I got the Zip Navigator over the summer. It is very impressive as you noted in your review. I would say the only issue I ran into on steep hills was when the grass was wet. The wheels could slip and send the cart sideways, which in my case caused the cart to tip on its side. Lesson learned and I hold onto the cart up the hills when the grass is wet. Otherwise, a great electric cart for the money!

    Hi Bryan ,
Thanks so much for posting all of this . I'm nearer 70yo than 60yo and have been looking hard at remote / option motorised trolley's . I still play 3 times/week and your video and most of the comments clinched it for me . I picked up my zip navigator today at my local American Golf outlet (we have Costco here but not with the goodies you guys do ) I live on east coast Scotland smack between Carnoustie and St Andrews . As a note of interest the unit was discounted to £ 999 . Plus they had the £199. Dribag at £90 if you bought the trolley . Too good to miss ! I hope to get out for 9 holes tomorrow and our season opens on Saturday 18th March . All the best from the jome of golf 😁

This is a good Golf buggy and performs as the video suggests. This video clip does mention to avoid getting it ‘WET’.
This is not B.S…. My new MGI Navigator Zip A.T. buggy rec’d water damage after running into a drainage ditch. MGI warranty does not cover this. I thought it worth noting on here that my repair bill was in excess of 50% of the original purchase price! Additional insurance may help you? But be sure to read the fine print.

Brought a MGI navigator 3 years and 3 months ago, spent ~$2,000 on it, did not use it for 18 months because of lockdowns, electronics unit is no longer working and has to be replaced (at a cost of $408), and MGI has said that they can not help... "Unfortunately due to the age of your buggy we're unable to supply a discount for this repair"... can get a new buggy for $500 with new 12 month warrantee... will tell anyone I can to shop around and avoid MGI like the plague...

I have the Zip Navigator AT version. Cart and batteries still plugging along after 2 years 4 months. I love this thing and it's the best investment I've ever made for my golf game. Unfortunately, the accessories are junk. Under normal use two drink holders, the remote clip, and the phone holder all broke. And for such poorly made, cheap plastic products, they are kind of pricey.
