    Amazing! 🙌🏻
I also started running at 38 with couch to 5k, then half marathon, now training for an ultra as I turn 40 (birthday today!)
I lost 36lbs, transformed from sedentary into running 5 times a week, and started actually caring about my health and wellbeing. I had just entered recovery after an opioid addiction, and running really helped me rebuild my life after a very difficult period.
My mental health issues (anxiety, late-diagnosed ADHD and severe depression that began after the death my partner in my late 20s) are also so much better after many years of struggle, and I've discovered a passion for nature and adventuring outdoors that brings me so much joy.
I've also gained so much self confidence and belief in myself, and am now applying for a masters programme that has been a dream of mine for many years.
Running isn't a magic fix, but it really does give you the tools you need to change your life 💖
