Ty bro
Looking great, thanks for really taking this to the next level for tabletop software.
Looks great! The sliders on the menus could be a little bigger/wider. It's hard to target them with the mouse most of the time.
Thanks a lot for the Shareout. Really looking forward to the release! Do you have any plans having a pop out feature for the stand alone? So far certain modules only provide that when running Foundry in the Browser. Would be great when running the standalone, to put some pop up windows like the journal or character sheets on another screen.
I love all of the development happening with Foundry. My only suggestion would be that you all should probably prepare a bit for these presentations because they seem quite unprepared and you guys are kind of doing things on the fly as you demonstrate. It would get the points across better and including timestamps in the video would help too!
They are definitely on the fly haha. We'll try and prep a bit more next time, but they are intentionally "casual".
is it possible to timestamp videos?
Will there be any improvements for support on tablets and smartphones? With each version, it becomes harder for me to use the Foundry VTT system for in-person gaming. Third-party modules like TouchVTT and MobileImpressions are hardly being developed further. Many users would appreciate a mode where the character sheet is displayed on a tablet similar to how it is on D&D Beyond. I would be pleased if Foundry VTT could evolve in this direction, making it my preferred VTT. 😊😊
I gave up on the tablet stuff, and just installed proxmox on some spare hardware, hooked up monitors for each player, one for GM and then created VMs. Should cover the needs for in person play.😊
@@slaapliedje That sounds interesting. Do you have more information about your setup, specifically about the hardware, monitors, and how it all fits on your desk?
@N1nj0 I have thought of doing a video on it... but currently it is an i5-13600k, 64gb of ram, and Radeon 7900 GRE. Don't try 4k screens, it will just make your life miserable (I had some on hand to try), go for 1080p and 21-22 inch, as you can get Vesa monitor stand that will hold the screens flat. My gaming table is a large Wormwood one that I spent way too much on... but is very awesome.
For keyboards and mice, I found some small pairs for 39 each.
Proxmox set up is with Debian VMs, using VirGL as the display adapter, and make sure you install the OMVF package in proxmox as well as a desktop (Gnome works better, in my opinion, with 5 screens...) and in my case, I needed omvf for EFI based VMs, or leaving the USB dongle for the keyboard and mice would cause the VM to hang with the seabios set.
I apologize if I use a lot of terms for those who do not use Linux, no clue if you could do something similar with vmware or windows.
The amount of times these guys say 'umm' in their speech drives me insane.
Sorry about that! We're devs building software not professional presenters ;)
regardless, you guys are awesome!!@@FoundryVTT
@@FoundryVTT Exactly! I don't go to a mechanic to hear a fable about the hero's of old. I go there to have my car worked on XD
umm, why?
