    12:00 I dont know who made the aircraft presets for Italy because they're completely wrong and probably should have been swapped. Historically, the Early Light Airframe fighter, the MC200 used a domestic A.74 radial engine with 870 HP and only 2 machineguns while the Improved Light Airframe fighter, the MC202, used an improved version of the German DB601 inline engine with 1150 HP and had 4 machineguns.
    If anything, that early fighter design with Engine 2 and 4 machineguns should have been the **improved** fighter preset while Engine 1 should have stayed in the early airframe preset..

      @@Aldrahill i had a document of the entire italian divisions while searching about their small arms but i lost it, you can find another one in this article of wikipedia en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/1st_Cavalry_Division_%22Eugenio_di_Savoia%22 in the first link they give in references, you can also go to this list en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Italian_divisions_in_World_War_II
      Most of them have the same references, i know that working with wikipedia is sometimes hard or just confusing, but this one is very detailed
      The italian army had bycicle battalions too and had some anti partisan units (occupation), they also divided their divisions in "african type" and "metropolitan" type, and even by role,like some of the yugoslavian infantry divisions who had most of their amored cars (instead of bycicles) in anti partisan roles after the end of the invasion (you could use amored car recon insted of the MP bc they had this role too, italians had a lot of armored cars) some italian fortress or costal divisions would be a very good stop gap in the allied invasions and north africa and give more numbers bc of their low cost
      Italy had some panthers and panzer ivs after early 43 and they made a tank called "P43" who never saw past the prototype stage, their prototypes would have been in use in the newrly reorganized "Ariete" Division, the P6 had begun production but they never finish more than 5 bc of the armistice, the ones they did manage to get done, got destroyed by their own builders bc of the german occupation, only 2 had survived the war
      You can also have a better modification to most planes in the italian arsenal, as they had a lot of "subtypes" of the same plane having a similar classification, like a MC200 having a "A" (had a radio) and "A/40" (had a radio, new avionics and bomb locks) after the name to say "hey, this can also use bombs" but i think you challenge does not take this into account (would be cool too), better luck next time and i hope you channel grows, you did very well in the soviet front

    I am really enjoying this series! For Italy the equipment you get from the focuses is more historical then the templates since the templates are just what the AI is set to use based on the pre-designer DLC tech names. And unfortunately a lot of their tank designs IRL do not match up with what HoI4 expects to be a tank. I have no idea why the M11/39 was chosen over the M13/40. Italy also does not have any dedicated air templates so the generic ones are used. AS42 divisions were also supposed to be fully motorised divisions so I don't know why that guide said they were just infantry.

      @IndependentObserver Před 7 měsíci +1

      @@seamusslymon4691 Yeah, it used to give you +50% planning, then was nerfed to just +20% and then bumped up to +30% and given some very small bonuses here and there like the 'coordination' or the command power bonuses, and the best officer corps bonuses out of four (though that's mostly because the bonuses from other 3 doctrines just fing suck, not because the ones given to GBP are very strong), but everything else stayed the same since launch in 2016.(except for the nerf to org bonuses as a whole that happened very early into the game, but if everyone loses 15 org, nobody does), but only now do people wake up and realise that 'Holy shit this doctrine is actually very good'... I just looked up on wiki and found out that GBP got even more nerfed than I thought- the Night Attack bonus from the Right Path was nerfed from +50% to +25% but oh yeah, NOW it's no longer a meme doctrine.

    • @Aldrahill
      @Aldrahill  Před 7 měsíci +2

      Agree completely! It's always been strong, but other doctrines were just a touch stronger before they were nerfed over the years.

    • @IndependentObserver
      @IndependentObserver Před 7 měsíci +2

      @@Aldrahill Not really though? Like, Mobile Warfare has only got very minor, you might as well call them cosmetic, changes over the years- without counting the fact that all 4 doctrines had to be changed as the mechanics changed (like adding the brigade size limit, command power, coordination, armoured cars etc.) the core of that doctrine is The Same as it was in 2016- all the bonuses are where they used to be, and they're as big as they used to be, at least as long as you don't go into the tank-variants, which did get nerfed- the +60% breakthrough used to work on all tank variants, now it's only for tanks, other tank variants only get +20% but that's not really a big change in >99.5% cases. Mass Assault was only ever buffed, I think it was so weak it didn't even get the Org nerf that happened in or somewhere around the release of "Together for Victory". What was nerfed, and hard, was specifically Superior firepower, especially the soft attack bonuses, but even so, those nerfs came at the same time when GBP's planning bonus was nerfed, so to again paraphrase Syndrome, "if both "soft attack doctrines" get nerfed by roughly equal amounts, neither is".
      The SFP nerfs were much more necessary for the Mobile Warfare and Mass Assault to be viable options, than they were for GBP. The math has always been, since 2016 to 2023- if there are 2 otherwise equal armies, one with SFP, the other one with GBP, and they both have full *whatever their max planning is,* the GBP will have a bit more soft attack, much more hard attack, and A LOT MORE breakthrough/defence at the start, and at any given point during a fight, until the GBP units have less planning than what is given to them by the doctrine- ie. a 30% planning SFP will have less stats than a 60% GBP, same with 20% SFP vs 50% planning GBP, and 10% SFP vs 40% GBP and 0% planning SFP vs 30% GBP, it's only once you start to dip below that 30% planning overhead when SFP has any chance of getting better stats... at least in terms of soft attack, because hard attack is equal and GBP has flat +20% breakthrough on their entire army so on that part, GBP-army will always be better than SFP even without planning (awhich also gives more of it, effectively GBP gives +56% breakthrough on their entire army, with full planning)

      @@Aldrahill That's exactly what I did. I tried playing USA a few times and failed by 1941 usually because I had no clue how to use any of the games systems.
      But having big brother Germany look out for me while I take over Africa and blow up the Suez for them was much better for me to learn. If I could make the dash for Cairo early enough and not get rolled by France, I could do enough for them. Then bleed the allies on the southern front. While Germany often gave me units.
      While I played as Spain they often asked me for manpower when I was really low but it would usually be okay in the end. I still can barely ever do a proper Sealion to knock out the UK.
      Oh snap try a scenario I always lost, Install the Mobile Suit Gundam One Year War mod and win as The Principality of Zeon in the last 3 months of the war, when the TV show starts. It is supposed to be unbeatable. But there is a whole series of games that were never ported to English called Ghiren's Ambition where you get to try to change the outcome of the war. They started on the Sega Saturn and keep coming out on the PS4. Japan always ignores american fans lol.

    I believe the reason that Hungary declared on Romania is because Romania wasn’t yet fascist and so when Germany did the Second Vienna Award (which sends an ultimatum to Romania demanding they hand Northern Transylvania over to Hungary) Romania refused. Normally they’ve turned fascist by this point and will give up Northern Transylvania, joining the axis soon after. However, very rarely it is possible for them not to have flipped ideologies, leading to them possibly refusing to cede the territory, giving Hungary a war goal. I’ve had this happen once or twice and it’s rather annoying.
