Somebody doesn't know the difference between an ohm and a kilohm. They meant to put in a 116 ohm resistor, and put on a 116 kilohm resistor. Lol, a very subtle difference, just . . . y'know . . . 3 orders of magnitude.

Generally speaking resistors should never be measured in a circuit as other components interfere with the reading. For smd components, if one pin is grounded, the best is just to move it out so that only the ground pin is connected and take the measurement.

Is there any chance the card could be fixed or you think it's definitely dead? Or could it be the PCI express slot, I can't check till tomorrow, I tried to take the top plate off the card to have a look but it broke the thermal paste so I have to get some more.

Any idea what the issue could be? I know you have another video on an SC2 1080 Ti but that one was for PC not powering on at all

One artifacts after some time especially on some games, and the other one just goes to a black screen (no video signal) during game play. Its not a heating issue with either as it can happen very quickly and monitoring shows normal temps. I have checked all voltage rails are ok. And memory tests show no errors :( I have no idea.

Hi, I really like your videos. Keep it up with the same spirit.
I have an evga gtx 1050 ti sc and I have a few questions.
    1. All measurements are fine - voltages, ohms, but there is no image on the screen. I tested with mobo with second PCI-E with another video card and in the device manager shows it (1050 ti), take the driver, but immediately after that it gives me the exclamation mark and code 43. After the system restarted, when I went to check the manager, the exclamation mark disappeared, but there is still no image.
    2. When I open gpu-z, it gives me almost nothing. 0 mb memory, no pixel shaders, no sensors, nothing specific. I tried using a programmer to flash the BIOS with several revisions, but with no success
So I suspect a few things:
    1. The BIOS chip itself
    2.Bad memory bank
    3. The main processor itself
    4. Bad resistor on the line to the BIOS
I know it's hard without the card in front of you, but I'd appreciate it if you could give me some advice.Thank you.

It has 4 ports: 3 Display ports and one HDMI, literally one of the DPorts is toasted, burned, the others ports are visually intact, when the card is put in the motherboard it don't give up any image (in the screen appears: No Signal), no beeps are heard, AND the PC starts as ever (i know because the intro of windows sounds normally), i try without the fans shortly and the card don't warm or heat at all, when i put the fans these move, but the rest of the card is still cold, any ideas?

Where do you get your "dead core well over 95% of the time" statistics? I wonder how many of those are actually cases where the problem was indeed on the PCB and technically repairable, but it was just too much work to diagnose and actually fix (like some random 0402 or smaller passive failed).
