She stayed on the line with me during most to the time as we waited for first responders make their way up through rugged terrain to the crash site on the top of a mesa in Raton. There are no words to express the devastation, with flashbacks daily and nightmares when I sleep... Even with extensive therapy, I'm still emotionally learning to cope... all 5 that perished were true Heros and greatly missed

2. Bring a phone that has data
3. Get a backpack fill it up with all the things you need
4. Make sure your phone is on 100%
5. Go at night to make the trip spooky
6. BRING SOMEONE OR A FEW PEOPLE SO UR NOT ALONE
7. NEVER go alone like ever
8. Don't ever set ur backpack down when ur in it

If your cars accelerator gets stuck turn your car into neutral dont pull the keys out because you may lock the steering wheel, pull the emergency brake and steer it into a garbage can a fence or something that will cause the least damage to you.

When I was younger a passenger planes crashed in the next town over into a house killing everyone, including the homeowner. My Dad was a former fireman and still had his scanner. We kept turning hearing the sirens flying by on the road behind our house, so he turned it on. It was so haunting listen to the dispatcher and hearing it unfold live.

The 911 operators are always horrible to deal with recently cut off some fingers with a circular saw and was in shock about to pass out from pain and panic and lady on phone wouldn’t confirm an ambulance was coming kept asking questions I couldn’t answer because mind was racing
After #12, dispatchers became trained to give instructions on how to avoid a crash if your accelerator gets stuck. You are supposed to shift to neutral, apply the brakes, attempt to drive the car safely off the road, and then turn off the ignition when you no longer have to change direction.

Why is no one talking about how sad #1 is, it’s absolutely traumatizing.
I think what most people don’t know is that in most cases, the same person taking the call is not the same person dispatching police/fire/EMS directly. As one dispatcher takes the call, another will be dispatching units via radio or whatever. The typing you often hear is usually the one dispatcher sending it to the other.

The Campfire His voice was actually way less irritating in his older videos from back in at least 2015. It was oddly jarring. It's gotten higher and higher since, and is incredibly forced. I have yet to hear from a narrator that _actually_ gives me the chills, where they have a voice that makes the story ten times scarier (but those are few and far between).
