How fast will this overvolted 8s power Ferrari GO?
Its always fun when the RC MHAP crew come to play. This overvolted toy grade Ferrari RC gave us a lot of giggles. Will it take 8s power though?

Oh one of these, they were originally shipped with lead acid batteries i think 18 - 24v was the common ones.
24v lead acid batteries peaks at 30 - 32v so not that much more too take on 8s lipo power which peaks at 33.6v ?
Ofc a lead acid battery dips under load a bit quicker then a lipo so likely perfectly fine too run for like 10 - 15 minutes while with the 8s lipo you'd pop something eventually, specially if this gets some grippier tires on it its just gonna cook the motor or the pcb.
Some were only 12v but then you'd notice it popping on 6s most likely already but you never know...
Motor is likely a similar one you'd find in power tools before brushless was a thing, like properly built brushes & high torque low rpm stuff.
If you can fit the motor in any hobby grade rc you can probably gear it super tall like a pan car & it will just take it on 3s without much care at all due too it being such a low rpm, wouldn't surprise me at least if it's slower then your standard 540 27t motor.

I had one of them nearly 20 years ago I remember that transmitter really well. Great fun I had with that until I had a massive crash with it đ
Thats what I want to do with the F1 version that brand has 1/4 jinhonglong, change electronics and keep it like a shelf decor because it is BIG in a little price

16 mph on 3s is faster than the traxxas 1/10 Ford fiesta rally car which has a ridiculously slow top speed out of the box of 15 mph đ€Ł. My CARISMA GT24 cars with a 7.4 VOLT battery can do 25 mph đ€Ł.
