Never thought I will watch a bathroom being built 😂
Never thought I'd film myself building one 😂😂
Never thought I'd see two people talking about a bathroom 😂😂😂
I never thought I would be reading three people discussing on how they cant believe that they watched a video on how to build a bathroom 🤦♂️. 😅😅😅
@@kanno1505 I can believe I just read a comment of someone who cant believe he just read 3 people discuss a bathroom
I can’t believe there is a entire side conversation about a bathroom in the comment section. Guess this is our new secret society. Hey guys I’m mike, nice to meet ya. Wonder how long it’ll take others to discover our group
You’re one of the few people I’d watch do something like this. Not sure why but your vids are just awesome. Keep it up my dude.
Thanks a lot, I appreciate your support!
Excellent videos young man. I'm a 71 year old electrician & I can't think of a single thing that I would change in the way you went about this entire design-build. I'm proud of you. Maybe an HLV, heat light vent in the toilet area & a motion or infrared sensitive flood-lighting over your garage door approach. Other than that, it's perfect & gave me a lot of great ideas for my existing 60 x 100ft shop. Thank you.
Glad to hear that and thanks for the suggestions!
One thing to mention was you used a box extension for the lights vs an actual jbox, other than that looked great
I would put up some sound insulation and drywall. Probably make the bathroom more comfortable...
I actually love the content man put out anything and no matter the quality it’s gonna be fire NEVER STOP
Really appreciate it 🙌
Would love to see a sliding door or something to save on space with it probably going to be open most of the time, but that's just my opinion lol. Love the content man keep it up
Yup that's what I'm thinking and thanks I appreciate the support 🙌
I was one of the people that said you had the largest bathroom. Thanks for the recognition.
Haha yeah I've heard it a lot 😂
This mans videos are fire he’s soo underrated
Looks great. I would've put the back of the toilet to the outside and left it open to the fresh air and my neighbors. 😄
😂😂😂
I love seeing new videos from you. always interesting every time.
Appreciate the support!
Do a sliding door. It will save you room, plus you could build shelves in between the studs on the wall in front of your toilet and the door would hide them when it’s open. It would look pretty sweet too !
Completely agree! I appreciate the feedback 🙌
Looks good.
underrated channel
I love the lighting
Thanks!
awesome dude, the place is turning out really nice!
Thanks man!
Yess ! I was waiting for a new upload!
Got another one coming this weekend 🙌🙌
Nice job on the bathroom! 1 project at a time! 😁👍
You got that right! Thanks 🙌
Awesome job dude!
Thanks a lot🙌
The ONLY thing you're missing on this video is an exhaust vent for your new bathroom-to get rid of all the xxxx! Other than that nice build, and thanks for sharing.
Thanks!
Looks great!
Thanks!
super cool!
This is awesome!!!
Thanks!
You should turn under the ramp into like a shoe rack or a tyre rack or some kind of cupboard display or some thing! I love the channel from Australia 🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺😁🇦🇺
Yeah I definitely think I'll do some type of storage there and maybe put some doors on it so it looks nice 🙌🙌
That place is my dream
Great job! I see summer carpentry skills on your past!
Thanks! Just learning as I go and definitely making mistakes along the way 😂
Awesome 👍 job
Thanks!
Awesome video. I’m thinking about doing the same. What’s the size measurements? ?
Very fitting stain color - gotta go number 2? Just head to the poop box!
😂😂
looks good! very nice work, still waiting for more jeep videos!!!!
Thanks! I promise I will have more jeep videos eventually!
A mans man great work 😎💪🏾
Thanks🤘
I like how you can shut the lights off your buddies that take a dump in your bathroom.
Hahah yuuup
Nice job. Channel is growing too 👍🏽
Thanks, just gotta keep working and stay patient 🤘
You’re making me want to start my house projects. My plan was to do it after my turbo build on the mustang was done. I had it all finished, emailed lito to get my tune, started it up and guess what, it jumped timing. One tooth off. No bent valves though so thank god for that. My build didn’t go as smooth as yours. So with that being said, I’m putting off work on the house lol for my car 😁
Dang sorry to hear that but I'm sure you'll get it figured out!
Have you re-timed it yet?
David Hunt yes I did the timing and it’s been great.
Nice bro
Cool!!
mount a barn door in front of the toilet. so when you need to use it, you just close it. Leaving the bathroom accessible with no door when not in use.
I agree!
Solid
How can someone dislike your building videos
Probably because I am not a carpenter and definitely make mistakes, but that's how you learn!
Kordare you could have put a bit more tap cons but everything seems fine
since now, i couldn't think about something else than siting on the toilet and having the cars looking at ya, lmao
Hey you gotta do it right!!! Nice job!!!
Thanks!
A barn door slider style door would look awesome and save space.
I agree!
You gotta get a tv in there 😂 😆
Hahaha yess😂
Get yourself a Paslode framing nailer, around $400 but totally worth every penny. Really digging your videos
I definitely need to get one, thanks!
American electric 😄 greetz from Germany
What light fixtures are those? Those perfect for a basement exposed ceiling build I’m working on. As always nice execution, sliding barn door?
Thanks and yeah I'm thinking something like that! Here's a link to the light: amzn.to/3jbSmQ3
how to run new drain for a toilet??
Looks great! Is there a reason you didn't go with regular drywall?
my question as well. I love the look of the wood vs the drywall
Glad you decided to put the sink in the bathroom; that way you can wash your hands before touching the door handle.
Looks great. Question for you on the loft build. I am going to build a very similar loft in my shop that will be 32' long and 8' deep. Running floor joists every 16". I want to run a double 2x10 header but not sure what my post spacing should be. I want to go 11' spacing. But trying to research before I build. Yours was double 2x12 at what spacing?
Mine was actually doubled 2x10s and the largest post spacing was about 11ft. I'd say with anything 12ft or under, a doubled 2x10 will suffice. Also definitely use proper nails or structural screws in your joist hangers. I initially used deck screws but changed them out for nails in the next video.
@@Kordare thanks man. I've been watching your build, came across your channel at the end of the mustang build. Hoping to start on my loft soon.
@@rocky31186 thanks for checking it out and good luck!
Bro you have the sickest crib. That bathroom came out nice . Don't sweat all of the butthurts worried about a vent/fan, my guess is it's mainly a quick leak spot. the walls are just so nobody gets a glimpse of nobody's junk. 🧐
Thanks! And yeah my thoughts exactly. I do have a proper bathroom inside my house ..
What size did the bathroom end up? You are inspiring me with my new 30x50 garage!
this was roughly 4ft x 6ft. Years later I've been pleased with how I built it.
Great job and inspiring ... going to attempt this myself. May I ask why you use nails and not screws all the time?
Thanks. Nails are better in most structural applications. Generally speaking nails do better in shear and screws are good for tension.
@@Kordare Thank you. I have watched many vids and always wondered.
the brown room !
A sliding door would he really cool
Agreed!
@@Kordare yesssss
Romex connector ?
Do you have a video on you putting in the plumbing in your garage? My husband and I just had our pole barn installed
Sorry I do not but everything is run in the slab or in that one wall adjacent to my living space
@@Kordare silly question did the plumbing come after the concrete or did you do plumbing first?
@@GlamourDees94 laid all plumbing first, at least anything that was going in the ground.
Looks great. I do have one question. What’s the measurement from the floor to the bottom of the joists/header? About 7’ maybe? I’m in the process of planning my bathroom/storeroom in my shop. I have 14’ walls so I’m trying to figure out what I can get away with in the bathroom/storeroom so I can have more space in the loft for storage. Thanks!
Thanks! I made it 6ft 7" so that I had even head room on top and bottom. I used 2x10 floor joist which helps some
@@Kordare do you ever wish it was a little taller? Or happy with 6’7”?
@@BlueTx68F100 I'm fine with it since I'm only 5'9" . If you're a taller guy I'm sure you may want to adjust. If you'll spend less time upstairs and don't mind it being lower up there then I'd say raise it a bit.
What size is the bathroom?
I did not watch this one tripping on mushrooms in a tent in north Georgia like the staircase video.
This is still good content.
😂😂😂 good to know, thanks!
Did you run wiring from every light back to the switch?
Yes I did. Could have done it a different way but this worked fine for what I needed.
sweet build, dude. I'd totally shit in there.
😂😂 thanks!
love the video's saw a few electrical mistakes tho. the wire nuts you used are for ground wires only(why they are green and have a hole in the tip) and you didn't use a wire protector where the wires come into your electrical boxes. probably not a big deal but figured you might want to know. keep up the great content. The camera loves you and most of all your very engaging!
Thanks for the tips, I actually did go back and add insulators at the box entries. I don't remember seeing any holes in the wire nuts, pretty sure I just used standard ones but I could be wrong.
You gotta do more car videos for sure
Big things coming!
Before-nothing like sitting on the toilet, looking right, and your neighbors are looking to borrow some tools......now not a problem...walls are good.
😂😂😂 I agree
You give a whole new meaning to "Shitbox" :D Keep up the great work.
😂😂😂 thanks!
Why is the switch for the bathroom on the outside of the bathroom ?
I like it there since it controls all lights under the loft.
Yea, that turned out good & if other you tubers think their content is as good, just say what you say at 3:10 "You can't even touch it!"
😂😂 thanks!
no ventilation to let all the stank out if someone drops a duece?
It's a garage bathroom
Pretty sweet. How about some drywall
Thanks, No plans to as of now, kinda like this look for a garage bathroom
Thought for sure you would have painted the walls the same grey as the ramp stuff, with the same darker grey for trim. Nice project either way.
I thought about it but wanted to break it up a little bit, thanks!
@@Kordare I suppose brown makes sense for the purpose of the room anyway...hah!
@@AnthonyBowman 😂😂
What is the length and width of this bathroom?
Roughly 4ftx6ft
I would put a barn style door for privacy if someone comes over.
That's what I'm thinking
Dude you need to put a fan in.
Where did you purchase the lights from?
Here's a link to the lights: amzn.to/3jbSmQ3
I like it man! But if you were married.......well, let’s not go there! Very nicely done! The only thing I think you could have added is an exhaust fan, but I’m not sure where you’d vent it to.
Thanks! Yeah the problem is where to vent it. It isn't completely sealed up since the floor joists create a natural vent so I don't think it will be too bad
Why do you think a marriage is a problem to access this ??
A fan and ceiling. Also a dedicated light switch for the inside light would have been better.
It really wasn't necessary to do the dedicated switch, I wanted to keep it simple
Maybe I missed it… but what is the overall dimension of the bathroom? 4’x4’?
Don't think I mentioned it but I actually don't remember, it's probably more like 4x6
What about the plumbing?
Plumbing was already in place from when I built the house
Put a sliding barn door on it.
Are u gonna put insalition or however you spell it in there
No plan to currently
What is the total square footage of your garage and how much is the square footage you allocated for bathroom?
Inside dimensions are 4.5 x 5.5 so roughly 25 sqft
@@Kordare and the garage sqft??
no exhaust fan?
Nah it's really not needed for a garage bathroom, also would be difficult to vent since the loft is on top
why did you put the light switch on the outside
Because I'll mainly be turning these on Everytime I'm in the garage, not only to use the bathroom
You should defently post more
New video coming this weekend!
👍👊
Should have put a window, so you could look out while seated.
😂
so you want to convert your garage to a mini house?
Haha not necessarily but it's nice to have a bathroom out there so you don't track too much dirt and grease in the house
I see you got the hammer drill!
Haha nope thats still the normal drill😂
@@Kordare LOL... thought you bought it. Have you done any more videos on the mustang?
Hopefully no one rips a loud one in there...
😂😂
wrong elec. box for the light
You put the light switch on the outside why you do that? Then when someone is in shiter you can turn the lights off on them......
Haha yuup. I did it because I'll want the lights on pretty much whenever I'm in the garage not only when using the bathroom
no bathroom fan for the "smell"?
nahhh
What are those metal spikes that you are beating with a primitive looking hand tool? Lol
Pieces of rebar 😂😂
Lol sorry I couldn't help it. I've been spoiled with nail guns over the years. Good stuff though man. Enjoying seeing the man cave take shape.
@@davidurdahl6656 haha thanks! Yeah I'll get a nail gun one of these days....
National electric code requires you have an exhaust fan in the bathroom unless you have a window you’re supposed to have a GFI outlet in the bathroom the boxes used to hang the light fixtures are the wrong boxes and it doesn’t look like you’re putting connectors in the boxes to protect the wire.I am a master electrician
Yeah it's just a garage Bathroom so I obviously wasn't worried about the code. What box would you have used for the lights? These seemed to be the standard ones available.
Kordare u used a extension ring, the box had no back. U needed a connector for the box. Also being a metal box, it needed to be grounded.
@@cleasonleasure4832 oh okay yeah I did ground the box, thanks for the info.
I think a barn door would look sick for the bathroom
I agree!
The only thing that made me scratch my head is the position of the lights...... you’re loosing a lot of the lighting inside the joists. Looks like one more 2x4 would bring them down far enough to clear the joists.
The ceiling is already pretty low so I didn't wanna have the lights hanging so low you'd need to worry about hitting them
This video should be called Building WALLS around my Bathroom in the Garage.... lmao
Haha I built a door in the next video 😂
Ventilation and sound proofing. You don't need to hear or smell someone using that toilet when you're working in your shop.
😂😂 Maybe eventually. As you can see, the placement under the loft makes it difficult to do any sort of traditional ventilation.
@@Kordare maybe something that goes along the wall in the back, hidden behind a bulkhead? Keep plenty of poo-pourri on hand for when guests come over. ;)
nice work, I enjoy your videos - but the very 1st thing I saw in this one was you're NOT wearing safety glasses. you wear a helmet when riding so WTF CHUCK
again, THANX for the videos
Thanks! I always try to wear safety glasses and hearing protection when using any saws or loud equipment.
No Fan?
@Dat Boi 😂😂😂
Maybe eventually. I have no friends so it shouldn't be an issue 😂
