  • The Nile has traditionally been the custodian of life in Egypt. It has helped in sustaining ancient cultures and civilizations. But for the Nubian community, the Nile has also been the source of much pain, as CCTV's Fahmida Miller explains.

And Nubian pottery that is close to 20,000 years old. Nubia preceded Egypt birthing pharaonic culture in the Nile Valley. The Nubians are the ancestors of the Egyptians. This video is merda!

Ancient Egyptians mostly draw themselves to look like modern day East Africans, Ethiopian, Somali, Eritrean Sudanese etc.. the light skinned people were immigrants invaders, Assyrians, Hittites etc. Pharonic culture comes out of Ta Seti, which is the first Nile Valley culture that predated Nubia, Cush and Egypt.

Nubia lay between the 1st and 2nd cataracts of the Nile in ancient times, which was southern Egypt and Ta - Seti (north Sudan). People automatically lump ancient Egyptians into one group but before it was one kingdom it was two different lands with two different tribes. Once they were unified, kings called themselves 'Lord of the Two Lands." They always recognized that they were two different tribes of Egyptians. Those from the south were culturally and pheno-typically like Nubians. Where people get confused is when they assume that all people south of Egypt that were represented in Egyptian art work were called Nubians. This is not true. There were hundreds of different tribes along the Nile and you see people who look like Masaai, Beja, Dinka, Somali, etc. in Egyptian art work. Even the Sphinx looks like someone from central Sudan. These people were not Nubians. The people in the video are Nubians, and they are real Egyptians because they live in Egypt and always have.

CEOofFRESH1 Ah oh, you do know that some thirsty white westerners have culturally appropriated not only ancient Egypt, but also Nubia, Ethiopia, and Somalia? For decades, they said that these people were dark skinned Caucasians or heavily "tanned" white people. The fact of the matter is that the original ancient Egyptians have more in common genetically and anthropologically with modern-day Africans and "thirsty" black Americans than anyone who is white, Middle Eastern, or Mediterranean. The highest modern scholarship has proven this. We are African and Egypt is in Africa. Deal with it.

@ThatOneAsianBroChick Nubians and Egyptians are essentially the same people...without Nubia there would be no Egypt...
Archaeologist Dr Maria Carmela Gatto from the University of Leicester, made a remarkable finding in her series of archaeological researches in the Nile Valley of Egypt….
"IN THE PREDYNASTIC PERIOD, THE EGYPTIAN AND NUBIAN IDENTITIES STILL SHARED MANY COMMON TRAITS DERIVED FROM A COMMON ANCESTRY. The Naqada culture developed from the Badarian culture which, as the Tasian, was related to the Nubian Neolithic tradition" (Gatto 2002; 2006c)
      Dr Maria Gatto Phd.
      University of Leicester
      Leicester, England
      ________________________________________
We now recognize that populations of Nubia and Egypt form a continuum rather than clearly distinct groups,” Mr. Emberling writes, “and that it is impossible to draw a line between Egypt and Nubia that would indicate where ‘black’ begins.”
      Dr. Maria C. Gatto Phd
The American University in Cairo | AUC Department of Egyptology, Anthropology, Psychology, and Sociology
As the first statement in that quotation asserts it is nothing more than Western racial animus why certain people try to dismiss all of these consistent facts and cherry pick inconsistent pieces of evidence to deny that the ancient Egypt was black as was Nubia. This is consistent with the revelation from Dr Maria Gatto posted above which confirms that pre-Dynastic Egypt started off as essentially a northern extension of Nubia which in turn was descended from earlier Saharan Nilotic pastoralist cultures.
      ________________________________________
"Piye (Piankhi) always meant to rule Egypt but he had preferred treaties over warfare, unlike his later adversary the Assyrians. It states that he was extremely pious and especially devoted to Amun. EGYPTIANS RATHER WELCOMED THE NUBIAN PRINCE, PREFERRING HIM OVER THE LIBYANS, SCHOLARS ATTEST THIS TO THE CULTURAL SIMILARITIES BETWEEN EGYPT AND NUBIA AND ALSO THE PHYSICAL SIMILARITIES AS WELL. The Nubians ruled from Nubia to as far as the Delta, they portrayed themselves not with the Egyptian crown with one cobra uraeus but with two cobras".
      Dr Sara Orel
      Egyptologist/Historian
As the above statement from Dr Orel and others have made crystal clear, Egyptians preferred Nubians over Libyans (eurasian whites) since Nubians and Egyptians were both culturally and physically similar because of their common African/Black origins...Other than Egyptians themselves, only Nubians/Sudanese could ascend the throne of Egypt WITHOUT THE USE OF CONQUEST and be willingly accepted by Egyptians as being justified to rule...no caucasoids could do the same...

Great and informative video! Please do more research with Peoples from Southern Egypt mostly populated by Nubian Ethnic groups.
Africans are NOT phenotypically homogenous just as Europeans are not homogenous. There are Niger-Congo types, Nilotic Types, Khoi-San Types, Saharan-Sahelian types, Kushitic types who all look very distinct from one another.
NOTE: you also have to take into consideration that pre-dynastic Egypt (which I suggest to focus on to understand Ancient Egypt) consisted of 4 distinct cultures:
    1. *Nabta Playa Culture* between the borders of Sudan and Egypt from 8000 BC to 6000 BC.
Skeletal remains from Nabta Playa have all been clustered with Naqada groups from Southern Egypt along with ancient Nubian A & C groups from Northern Sudan.
    2. Fayum Culture (6000 BC - 5200 BC)
    3. Merimede Culture (5200 BC - 4500 BC
    4. Naqada Culture / Ancient Southern Egyptian (Naqada I, II & III from 4500 BC - 3800 BC).
This last phase (Naqada III from Upper Egypt - Southern Egypt) was responsible for kickstarting the well known dynastic Egypt

Ancient Nubian Artifacts Yield Evidence of Earliest Monarchy... they found about this over 44 years but kept it quiet typical Arab and Eurocentric nefarious ways.
Scientists studying Nubian artifacts find evidence of oldest recognizable monarchy in human history, dated at 3300 BC, and pre‐dating.
Evidence of the oldest recognized monarchy in human history, preceding the rise of the earliest Egyptian kings by several generations, has been discovered in artifacts from ancient Nubia in Africa.
Until now it had been assumed that at that time the ancient Nubian culture, which existed in what is now northern Sudan and southern Egypt, had not advanced beyond a collection of scattered tribal clans and chiefdoms.
The existence of rule by kings indicates a more advanced form of political organization in which many chiefdoms are united under a more powerful and wealthier ruler.
The discovery is expected to stimulate a new appraisal of the origins of civilization in Africa, raising the question of to what extent later Egyptian culture may have derived its advanced political structure from the Nubians. The various symbols of Nubian royalty that have been found are the same as those associated, in later times, with Egyptian kings.
