Aerial footage captures Iceland volcano spewing lava after eruption

- A volcano in southwest Iceland began erupting Monday evening, spouting lava and smoke more than 330 feet into the air, according to the country's meteorological office. The office said that gas pollution may be detected near the capital late tonight or tomorrow morning. This comes after weeks of intense seismic activity on the Reykjanes peninsula.
Rumor has it Anakin and Obi-Won were seen dueling it out.

Not necessarily but it lies on two plate boundaries which forms volcanoes, and therefore, more land

Wow... So beautiful but horrible for those who had to evacuate and potentially lose their homes / land.... I still find it ironic that Greenland and Iceland are pretty much the opposite of their national names.. I do know the history but it is kinda funny all the same...
I know it's so sad, but these people were aware before moving into Grindavik that it was an area of higher risk, so wasn't too out of the blue, still terrible.
