One day in class I was complaining to my coach that I never got my footage from this small project I was in. It was my first role after getting back into acting. And she said, "Well, is it any good?" And I was like, "No." And she said, "Then don't worry about it." The moral is, why put up stuff that doesn't show you at your best. A good lesson there. Cheers Wendy! You're the best!
Ha Ha! Love the story KP
What a great series! How does one submit their reel for this?
I have been managing and booking auditions and gigs for a few performers for free (trying to stop doing that lol) but I have made a couple of vocal reels and acting as well as helped people put theirs together. I always send the adults and the parents of the children to your videos so that they can see the difference in perspective of what they think is good marketing of themselves and what people are actually looking for.
Thank you.
THANK YOU SO MUCH! Great points. Really appreciate you and THIS! Happy New Year! 🎆🎊🎈 THAMKS AGAIN!
Thank you so much for your time . Your videos are very informative.

This is great! Thanks Wendy🙏
I am not an actor but I like your content a lot. And I remember Tom Holland once said that it is extremely hard to create a selt-tape reel and I think it is. It requires so many from a person to show in several seconds itself and to present yourself as someone else and it is a extremly difficult😵💫
Also I watched the reels of other famous actors and to be honest I've have the only reaction on it 🥶 I don't know why but I always feel how they are worrying and I worry with them🙃 It is so personal, hard work that looking for their audition reels feels to me as something forbidden🥸
But that is their journey to their purpose and it's fascinating. Thank you for your work❤
Im not an actor either! It’s just so interesting to see the behind the scenes these future actors have to go through,,, and it honestly looks very stressful. Either way I love this channel! Makes me more appreciative of people who I see on tv !
👏🏽 great advice! Thank you!
Great tips and advice.
I was taking an acting class in Dallas and I mentioned that I got this small part in a movie and the acting coach said, well I hope it don't have dialogue. And that's because I sound kind of Gomer ish
I just started watching your videos and you’re a godsend! As someone starting my second round of acting classes + improv with SC I’ve just been ingesting any sort of acting related content like crazy!
Are these students from your classes or are people sending these in for critique? I’d love to know how I could send something in.
Happy Holidays 🎉
Thank you! I am so glad you are here :)
Love this series of yours! How can we send our demo reels to you Wendy? I would love your feedback!
these videos are very helpful maam, thank you! :) Could you please make a video reacting to a good acting reel?
thank you
If we don't have enough material, is a monologue a good option?
Hi Wendy, could you please make a video about what is actors should include in the “notes” section when submitting to a role? I usually include a small note expressing interest and how I best fit the role. From your experience, is this the correct approach?
You want to highlight things that are related to the role. For example: the role is for a ballet dancer you would write in the notes - danced for 6 years. If it is an audition for a costar you could write just shot a co star on Law & Order- or other important bookings- had the lead in a short or a supporting role in a feature film, won best actress at the Santa Barbara Film festival for the film blah, blah, blah.
Are these clips from your Hollywood winner circle classes?
Hi Wendy. As you know already you have truly reinvented the wheel and allowed me to receive so much inside knowledge. I want to thank you so much. I have and still am implementing all of your advice. I'm excited to change and grow and expand my craft. Can't afford HWC just yet, but am joining very soon. Love how honest and to the point you are. I hate beating around a bush.
I fucking love these videos.
I live in OC but would I say I'm based in LA?
Hello and respect. Thank you for guiding me. I have been acting in the field of theater and cinema for many years and I even visited a course in Italy and worked in theater with the Potlach theater group and got a degree. I also took a directing course. But because of the conditions of my country, I can't and I don't like to work. I wish to come to America and study acting again. Can you introduce me to a non-academic free acting class or a theater company so that I can come to America through this method to continue my studies. Do you have a better suggestion, of course, except to say to stay and work in your country because it is not possible at all, there is no success here.
Let's say this is all the footage he has, that would mean that Nicholas's second clip should have been first at LEAST.
Then yes, he could have just recaptured the first scene.
Looks like he got what 5 seconds in second part. That is tiny start.
They to learn blocking techniques as should be added to ur, lighting techniques, camera classes, too..U can't tell what story is about? Subtext? Synopsis of the story?
Why do guys frown their forehead soooo much?!! They do that trying to look sexy. They do it when they're angry or sad or even happy!!! God Lord, make it stop!!! And her face is priceless at 2:45!! 😆
