ALL WE NOW HAVE ARE MEMORIES, BOOTLEG CDS AND THESE VIDEOS OF CONCERTS FILMED BY FANS...JEFF IS GONE...THE REALITY IS THERE WILL NEVER BE ANOTHER ONE LIKE HIM...!!
I'm but 67 and, I've been saying YES and, Thankyou to Jeff Beck since I was 11. First time live, Woolsey Hall, New Haven, Connecticut
Lucky is the man whose passion is his life's work. Jeff was a very lucky man ....... and so were we who were blessed by his extraordinary talent .... R.I.P, Jeff ......
2018 and still has it all. After all these years. Jeff Beck is a legend. The guitarist's guitarist indeed.
actually he keeps getting better imo (which is hard to comprehend). we are so blessed he is still here on this plane and still playing.
if anyone wants to be amazed. Jeffs's playing is straight from another planet....where I reside when I listen to him... he brings a whole band alive
rest in peace Jeff, miss you
Can't Believe Hes Gone.
Saw this guy in my 1st week in LONDON!! J.B. GP. & he has just refined his skills as a MAESTRO of guitaring!! Seen him twice back in OZ!! VINNIE a perfect accompyniment to JEFF!!
I first saw Jeff Beck at a Day on the Green in Oakland, in the 70's.
Then with Stevie Ray Van at the Oakland Coliseum.
Concord Pavillion with Santana and two other times.
The Warfield Theater in S.F.
Paramount Theater in Oakland.
Marin County Auditorium, three nights in a row!
Napa Valley at a small theater.
In Saratoga at a Winery, with ZZ Top!
Now countless shows on CZcams. (!)
Awesome, thanks Jeff for all the inspiring music over the years.
Thank you sweet sorrow.
And the fabulous Rhonda Smith on bass, great band! Thank you Jeff & company!
i was wondering if anyone commented on her fab bass playing
i'll keep practising and one day be surrounded by beautiful women. happy for jeff. he keeps trucking
I have seen him twice. He is amazing in concert.
He's going to be greatly missed..
Jeff Beck is second to none , more so you can say the best of the best
If you like Jeff Beck, and you like Vinnie Colaiuta, then this video is going to be one of the greatest things that ever happened to you. Holy shit.
true that. these guys are flat out mad brilliant.
I love Vinnie
I adore Jeff
Amen
Colaiuta, Bozzio (both Zappa's drummers) and Simon Phillips : Jeff choose his friends so nicely :-)
AWESOME ,AWESOME ,AWESOME ONE OF LEGENDARY GUITARIST OF ALL TIME!!! GRACIAS ,MUCHAS GRACIAS!!!!!!!!!!
Mostri sacri semplicemente ineguagliabili super figo
That's some wild bass playing! Wow!!
Jeff is really one of the best. And he is playing with some of the younger talents, everytime. Germany love`s Jeff. Hope you will play for a long time. Thank you!
Jeff is the King!
Jeff is such a great melodic guitar player I get chills when he plays the guitar. I think Jeff has got to be 77 years old now, yet he still plays with the energy of a much younger man. This concert is from 2018, so he must have been 74 years old and his performance was still top notch. His career is an interesting one and in many ways musically diverse and always innovative.
And I might add, still as innovative as ever. Every time I see a video of Jeff Beck, there is always something new to appreciate.

Super sound! As usual for J. B.
Jeff is a master.
Fantastic concert and incredible for a phone recording Huge thanx for this gem ….in momorium of JB now !!!
Omg. What an awesome concept w 3 string players ( cello instead of keyboard which Beck usually played off of in quartet form. So Hip !
Best of all time
14:02 oh wow, Jeff mimics a saxophone here 😳 holy crap, a true genius RIP 🔥❤️🔥 x
@spaceoddyssee2000 THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!
GREAT JOB and dedication recording this!
AWESOME!!! I wish I would have been at this concert!!!! His guitar sings so
much!!!

He gets better each year. Amazing!
Nobody else can pull those sounds out
I've just left my body by now!!!!
2018 and in Paris. I didnt know, Im sick.. Now Im 68, I hope he will soon return in France
Jeff Beck is one of those guitarists that is basically impossible; I mean to say, REALLY, truly, completely impossible to emulate. RIP.
Merci beaucoup pour ce partage 🎸☮️🙏
Wow I just realized I’ve seen Jeff Beck live through the years three times, first was with Stevie Ray Vaughan, second he had Jenifer Batton with him, third was with ZZ Top… would have really loved to see him when Tal was in the band…

Jeff proves that there is in fact a God.
Thanks so much for sharing!
Beautiful tribute to John Mclaughlin in song 4
Gigantescooooooooooooo!!!! Que biola (guitarra) y que batería..................Por favorrrrrrrrrrr!!!!
Muchas gracias por compartirlo.
Ps the cellist adds such an incredible dimension to JB
You know that he played with les Paul so he's a master of his craft.
The reason they all looked the
« old « drummer :
he’s so excellent !!
Vinnie Colaiuta !🙏
1:15:44 Vinnie with a very unusual beat on the snare making Jeff smile with surprise.
Similar to Bill Bruford, another fav.
Shout out to the a Badass dude !!!! and the drummer!;
One of the great historical venues. Name any performer, they played at the Olympia in Paris. The Beatles, Hendrix, The Who, Sinatra, Edith Piaf etc etc
Thank you for this
Jeff Beck : - Let's invest in a rythm section ! What a band !
Adding a cello was interesting.
@@stickman33 Yes, this cello sounds great as well as she plays beautifully
I like how Vinnie conducts the ending of the vocal songs to make them sounds good as much as possible
The guitar which can sing...!
Give it up for Rhonda! Sick, sick, sick!
YES
Seen JB 6x since the 70’s always top notch ,,,,, never uses a guitar pick
Really, no pick?
@@MWHowe Yes, really!
Mostly he doesn't, but he does for at least one tune; I believe it's Scatterbrain.
The guvnor ❤😂😅😊
JEFF BECK! InPaceRequiescat
I’ve noticed that for the past four years or so Beck has been playing a left handed Fender upside down like Hendrix used to [except of course Jimi played the reverse, right-left handed].
I think it makes better use of his unique use of the whammy (Floyd Rose, I believe). For whatever reason, it certainly doesn't diminish his style!
@@joelkeen1184 With a six-on-a-side headstock it rearranges the string bend feel
Just the neck is upsidedown
@@joelkeen1184 Not a Floyd. Fender American Standard vibrato bridge, Wilkinson roller nut, Sperzel locking tuners.
@@hubbsllc Exactly. When the overall length of the string (bridge to tuner) is shorter, you don't need to bend as far to raise the pitch a given amount. (With a Floyd with locking nut, it makes no difference, as the part of the string from nut to tuner is taken out of the equation.)
Last time I saw Jeff live was in Spring 1999 at Dallas Starplex touring behind his Who Else album. I'm glad I have THAT concert memory etched in my brain rather than something like I see here.
The tuning keys are on the bottom of the head stock, the strings play better this way......the top string is longer, rather than shorter, and so on for the other strings......
Where’s Jimmy Hall from? Fantastic vocalist!
Vinne Colaiuta is possibly the best drummer of all time. Sooo yeah
El mejor quizás no pero sin duda de los mejores 20, igual que Jeff entre los mejores 20, son gigantes los dos.
He is the best “technical” drummer since Buddy Rich. There’s Vinnie and then there are the other drummers.
@@robertgosselin14 He is not "only" a technical drummer. He is one of the most musical.
And there are many other modern drummers on that tech-level. To many to name.
Dennis Chambers is also amazing.., and many more especially jazz drummers
Vinnie great..but sometimes his chops get in the way..less is more
Ain't his birthday çomin up? CT
Ahhh, thanks for putting it up. Just a little remark: if the drummer plays a solo, dont fokus on the guitar player (sorry, I'm a drummer ;-) )
You're lucky with random CZcamsrs putting up concert videos, to get one who can even identify who is soloing at a given time. Plenty of videos feature shots of the drummer during guitar solos, the guitarist during bass solos, and the bassist during drum solos, and every other possible random choice of shots. It makes me wonder why they were even there, if they can't even tell who is playing, but I guess the random excitement somehow grabs them, just not any pesky details such as which instruments are making which sounds.
Vinnie
Anyone know the tune after Nadia?
Baby
l âme .....
. de jimi hendrix
puss your jimmy
JIMI IS SHIT COMPARED TO JEFF.!!!!!!
After having watched the 2007 Crossroads and Ronnie Scott’s performances, I can hardly watch this. The musicians are all great but other than the occasional glance at Vinnie, Jeff seems so all alone on that stage. The bond between the him and the other musicians is simply not there and Jeff is not one who can fake that!
lol....go back to your math book and sftu
Is that Vinnie? What's happened?
Put on some weight for more power 💪💪😂👍
Don't be dumb! Humans gain weight with age ! Or google the meaning 'overweight' n stop being stupid. Its like saying why do we have grey hair!
Vinnie goes off on you know you know like never before. i think he was a bit puny at ronnie scott's; brilliant but nervosa. putting on weight seems to have given him strength.
To have a bit more power 💪💪💪😂🤔👍😁
Saw him in Ronnie Scott in 2007, they were all fantabulous 😁
I found myself listening to Vinnie more than Jeff.. not sure that is a good thing?!😜
relax in the mistery :)
It’s a compliment to the band. Jeff would approve.
Thats not him 🤔reveresed headstock
Who's the singer??
Simply Red singer?! Could it be?...
@@jsainio8324 no
Jimmy hall
@@jsainio8324 No, the great Jimmy Hall from the band Wet Willie
It’s funny he hated Love is Blue! years later he’s has turned into that guy!
77 printemps ..................
Definitely not a slide guitar player
you wouldn't know.... he could slide around you all day dipshit
definitely not like justin timberlake, eh?
He has become very squeaky.
that's because you're spending too much time on your knees
He's 74
I love the contrasts with Jeff Beck - such a great guitarist, and such a bad dresser.
Interesting that he was covered up. Was it cold that day? He's usually in a sleeveless shirt.
He's playing a left handed strat upside down
Looks like a right handed strat with a left handed neck/headstock. Why? Don't ask me!
Isn't it a left handed neck on a right handed body? Doesn't detract in the slightest from his excellent playing though...
grandma what a good eye you have
his guitar is great but.... the sounds like too CACOPHONY in the hall........
Horrible sound...
I mean, the band sounds "empty".
The bass is weak and the cello is "nothing".
We all miss Tal and Jason...
Hail Vinnie Colaiuta!!
Hendrix screamed better nice try
He's 74 yrs old here and he's still great. What will you sound like at 74???
that's about all he could do was scream
This kills me: Vinnie playing Rock, on a Jazz kit. If you notice, he sometimes, is not in sync with Jeff. Not to happy playing Cobham tunes.
That's because Jeff was dragging in certain spots Vinnie is a human metronome that neither needs or uses a click he was simply putting the band where it needed to be Vinnie has no problem playing anything from anybody
Compared to Hendrix he is an Amateur.
Hahaha they all are actually, Jimi took care of that in 67 when he blew Clapton off the stage first time playing Killing Floor. Page,Beck & Townsend all had to go back to school and regroup as they realized they were light years away from Jimi’s electrifying superiority on guitar 🎸
Hendrix has been inspired by the feedback ,fuzz and tricks used by Beck during his Yardbirds period.
@@gavanhillebold3131 Actually Page never did and you listen to the playing on LZs 1st album you might notice he has gone beyond Hendrix's sound.
And Hendrix could never have matched the 1970 acoustic version of 'White Summer' Page did w LZ..
I love Hendrix but you are just being silly.
@@gavanhillebold3131 sounds like you're light years away from a brain cell
@@claudioperotti9439 too bad only the Beckster mastered it...good try though jimmy
