I never tire of admiring this song and this production. Despite the length of this song, there is not a single moment that I would like to rewind or that would be superfluous. All these 13 minutes are listened to in one breath. The first part of the kingdom of heaven is in no way inferior to the third. Unless there are more choral parts in it, and to be honest, I prefer Simone's voice to this choir. The chorus is good, but in moderation. The studio version has a lot of choir, but in the Omega alive version they just made more of Simone's vocals, so the first part of the kingdom of heaven got into my playlist in the Omega alive version 😁 amazing show

I know that there's a controversy whether it was pre-recorded vs live sound, however, personally, I never doubted that this was performed live. As you mentioned, Epica has a track record of amazing musical professionalism and performance craftsmanship for over twenty years, and this does not come as a surprise! Thanks again for watching.

by the way, there was a lot of controversy about this show, many people really don’t believe that it was all with live sound, not recorded in advance, but in fact, if you think about the fact that this group has been playing concerts for more than 20 years, they have played more than 1000 concerts , can't they play and sing it perfectly? This is not an ordinary concert where the musicians have to constantly be distracted by the crowd and the audience, where they cannot rest between songs, this show was easier to sing and play than performing in front of a crowd with a regular concert. I'm not talking now about staging, lighting, special effects, but about playing instruments and vocals. Moreover, the guys could use duplicates if something did not work out the first time. Anyway, I have no doubt that it was a live show, they really played and Simone really sang.
I have seen them play quite a few times, and this is exactly what you will get. I think the main controverse was not so much that they didn't sing/play live, but that the stream was pre-recorded.
@@erwinmulder1338 This whole concert could not be physically live, as the scenery, costumes, and so on often changed. They spent two or three days filming because it's a lot of work. And yet, the stream of Nightwish and without any change of scenery and other things, the absolutely simplest online concert also turned out to be a pre-recording 🤷🏻♀️ because there are also technical issues and other factors why it could not be live. Most online concerts are actually pre-recorded, it's just that Epica is immediately clear, while others are not so obvious. But my opinion is that an ordinary ordinary concert is certainly cool, but a whole show? They played more than 1000 concerts, but they have one such show. They wanted to do something different and they did it in a big way. This is very cool and absolutely do not care that this is a pre-recording 😁

Hi there, nice reaction! one little tip: the balance between the volume of your own microphone and the volume of the music is off: to hear the music I must turn my own volume all the way up. But then when you start talking my eardrums are shattered... (just a little hint)

I was a bit confused if you actually know this or not. Did you know the song but not this video? You looked surprised at some points but you also know it was not a normal live concert, etc.
