I love Fallout 3, although they better have a better map. I think I got lost for up to 3 weeks when what I was looking for was right there! Lol!

Titan Quest was awesome, hope v2 will be better
VTM: Bloodlines 2's pitch changed since the Chinese Room got to work on it: you're not playing a Thinblood anymore, but an Elder getting out of torpor after being asleep for 300 years. You may only choose to be part of 4 clans at launch, another one being gated in a future dlc.

Merry Xmas, Wolf. Pretty impressive list you got here. Already wishlisted some of them and tried couple of demos. I would be pretty excited about anything coming from Bethesda or Bioware but I am not keeping high hopes for their games at this moment. Lots of promising titles coming, great recap vid! I'm excited for Nightingale and Dune: Awakening, only problem I have with early access titles is I play all the content available on launch then forget to revisit them after they update.

I don't really have a question but this is the first time I've seen the game/heard of it and I just wanna say I really dig the card approach, not only do the aesthetics of the cards look really nice but also that's a fun way to shake mechanics up that I look forward to trying out!
Thanks so much@@OneWingedRose! Totally agree, we really liked it from a visual design and gameplay mechanic perspective; but also thought it fit well with the mysticism of the era. We leaned in to concepts like tarot and phrenology to make the game mechanics feel integrated in to the world and characters.
One small error, Blade is being developed by Arkane Lyon, the developer of Dishonored and Deathloop

Apart from Dragons Dogma2 I think Crimson Desert looks the most interesting. That last gameplay trailer was complete bonkers and I'm all for it.

Really enjoyed this list. We have alot of games to look forward to. While I understand why you may have left this game off the list I would also like to recommend SKALD to other viewers. It's not typically my type of game but I played the demo and was absolutely hooked by its intriguing story and old school exploration. The game is releasing this year and I'm looking forward to it. Also, since you mentioned Eiyuden Chronicle I should point out that Suikoden I and II are being remastered and released this year as well.
Dragon's Dogma 2 seems like the obvious winner but Crimson Desert, Vahrin's Call and the Gothic remake definitely have my main interest. I'm eagerly anticipating any news about the next Sucker Punch game because Ghost of Tsushima has been my favorite game of 2023.

I really like the idea of Tarot Cards. It could be a very cool leveling scheme or something in an RPG game. Or just exploring using the concept of tarot cards seems very interesting.
Exodus looks to be very interesting. And speaking of the Mass Effect connections, Drew Karpyshyn (one of the main writers of ME and a great author in his own right) is writing the story for it.

Just read an article that the publisher of the Pillars games just shutdown. They were also going to publish Broken Roads. The Broken Roads devs say they're going to push forward and still get the game out, just wonder who they will find to publish it now.
forgotten realms is also a dnd based system all baldurs gate games is from that realm. also icewind dale and one of my favourite fantasy characters drizzt do'urden

Unfortold sounds interesting, I was always wondering why nobody made a cRPG open-world/sandbox (maybe there is, but I don't know any). Gimme some city building/management on top of that and I'm happy, just make a combination of wotr, total war, ck, tes, maybe a sprinkling of cities skyline, should be easy enough, right?

The publisher for Broken Road, Versus Evil, was just recently shut down. Not sure how this will affect when/if the game gets published, so we will see. FYI, and Merry Christmas.
23:30 Are you sure Avowed will have 3rd person mode? I wish it were true because I hate 1st person mode especially for rpg's but they only advertized it as a 1st person game so far. Am I missing something?

Oddly I’ve gotten to the point where I’m looking for crpgs or an IP more than another type of game. Unfortunately the mp games may not be as fun if played solo (space marine 2, suicide squad) and no one is free to play with.
I’ll be curious if eclipse is more interesting than outlaw but we will see

So many interesting games. Not sure if I have the time to play them all - and I am in early retirement.
Didn't realize this was a "PC" channel. Only started watching recently for BG3. Regardless, pretty excited for some of these games. Esp for the "non PC" clan with Final Fantasy
My PS5 has not worked in years lol With that said most games these days tend to be on PC and at least one of the consoles so I am able to reach both audiences with no problem.

I'm so excited for Granblue Fantasy Relink, I've been waiting since this game was announced 7 years ago. I'm surprised it's not in this video. It comes out the day before Suicide Squad, so unfortunately that game will have to wait.
I'm also super excited for Dragon's Dogma 2. DD1 is my favorite rpg of all time. The main reason it being the first rpg that allowed me to make a muscular female character. And I just loved the Vocation system.

If anyone sees this and wants to learn more: GBF Relink is an action JRPG with combat inspired by Platinum Games, they even worked on the combat early in development before Cygames took full control.
You have a party of 4 and it has combination attacks, timed attacks, charged attacks, and every character is pretty unique. There is a Monster Hunter style Post Game and you actually have to coordinate if you play with others for the link attacks and to do well. It does actually require skill, they say the later bosses are really tough.
Witchstone looks really interesting....
Lots of good games on the horizon. Given Stanfield's giant leap backwards in content and innovation, I think it's time to give up on Elder Scrolls 6.

Chineese room decided to make our protagonist an Elder in nothing but a title ... since we will have with no clue, no powerbase, no subortinates, no allies, and no power at the beginning, since our "elderly" power was drained out by some strange ritual.

For unreleased games yea all I have to go off of are the companies' descriptions of their own games. Much of it is likely hyperbole / marketing lol

OTOH there's something for everyone even if you're not into RPG.
I don't mind the tags these days but it does make it harder as a "true" RPG fan to sort through the masses.
