Exactly ☝️💯
Excellent feedback!
Since you tried Tatar, you should try Kogel-mogel too. Its raw egg yolk mixed with sugar. We do it, when we have eg. a sore throat.

Polish food/tradition is wonderful specially in a family setting very similar like Ethiopia, the raw meat 😲
Yes it absolutely is we have more in common than we think
We also have "Flaki" soup. This is tripe soup made from a cow's stomach. I know that similar dishes are prepared in some parts of Africa. :-))))
@@yakeosicki8965 yes I tried that too it was not on the video because I had it after I posted this one and also the liver with onion
@Julia Sikora I didn't know that. Thank you for the great info. :-))))) Africa is culinary very interesting, but little known in Poland. Magreb is a little known. Of course, you can buy okra or piri piri spices in stores. Culinary Black Africa does not exist in Poland. There are so many regions and countries there. We know nothing about it practically. However, I live in the UK. There are many interesting places in London, but in the provinces there is also a desert. :-)))))
@Toott otto I don't like it very much :-))))
Hi cutie !! Thank you for showing me the worlds.🙏🏽 I appreciate you much ❤️✊🏽 from USA 🇺🇸

At last, someone had the courage to try our Polish delicious tatar! (I like to add some maggi to it, or even tabasco if I'm in the mood). Now who will dare to savour the traditional Polish beef tripes (flaki wołowe)? I haven't yet seen any youtuber venture so far yet!
I loved it. It was delicious abs the Tabasco sounds really good too with it
You can have Tatar in your country. But the meat has to be VERY FRESH. Enjoy!
With tatar at least to shots of vodka should go along. To be honest presented tatar is from rather lower quality meat and it is better when the meat is chopped not blended.
In France we have also Steck tartare and flaki tripes à la mode de Caen or Tripoux de Lyon or Paquet and we eat row fish Japanese style or south américain ceciche or row porc ! Truth - Poles are very friendly people. Smiling, open. The food is delicious. But God forbid you attack them - then they turn into a monster! They are defending themselves
Polish Tatar also would use nice fresh ground black pepper and horseradish. Basically, the base is good quality ground beef and any condiments are up to taste.

You changed my perspective on Polish culture and cuisine the way Polish ppl are portrayed in England is bad associated with drinking , one good thing Polish ppl they are hard-workers.. food can alter your perspective Txs Yodi for the lovely segment for food tour..
Absolutely they are so miss understood just like us Africans and portrayed in such a bad way a new video will come out tonight check it out they are amazing .
@@staniek81 that is true. definitely
Was attending japanice party and host was sure we never eat raw beef..it was so similar like
Polish have “Tatar”
Bigos - cabbage and sauerkraut as well as sausage and meat - depending on the cook, various additives and types of meat :P Żurek - soup made on fermented flour :P Krem borowikowy - is a cream soup made of mushrooms [boletus]. The "Milk Bar ~ Bar mleczny" has subsidies from the state budget - that's why it is very cheap there :P Tatar - the dish came to Poland together with the Muslims [Tatars] :P
Wow I didn’t know the Muslim ate raw meat you learn something new everyday I would like to know more
@@HabeshaTraveler This is a legend not true. This dish has nothing to do with the Tatars. Legend has it that the Tatars kept raw horse meat under their saddles, from which they used to prepare Tartare. :-)))) The name of the dish is probably the result of an association - in the 16th-17th centuries, eating raw meat was considered a sign of wildness, a trait that was associated with the Tatar hordes for centuries. In the nineteenth century, a popular dish served by famous Parisian restaurants was the "steak tartare".
@@yakeosicki8965 how ever they came up with it i am glad they did it’s delicious
@@HabeshaTraveler I like it too. I just wrote it so as not to write these nonsense about Tatars. :-))))
1. Bigos - cabbage and sauerkraut, sausage and meat - depending on the cook, various additives and types of meat, BUT ALSO DRIED PLUMS OR RED WINE OR TOMATOES - depending on the occasion and preferences. 2. Tatar - the dish did not came to Poland together with the Tatars / Mongols. Poles were only inspired by meat in this way "churned" and shredded, and then eaten raw by the Tatars. The Poles added an egg, pickles, marinated forest mushrooms, onions, lemon juice or vinegar, and only then a dish called, of course, "tatar" was created :)
One of my favorite food video... i think these Poland people have the best food in the world i dont think people know about this ... its very under rated ... and very friendly people too" kefitfitu fitu " endemibalew :) ;) ....thanks habesha traveler we wouldn't know ....

The food always look delicious and tasty and it also seems the prices not bad at all.
Raw meat!!! Uuuuuuuh
Thank you for letting us know on polish food cuz I’ve never seen or tasted it before
Steak tartare (raw) is delicious! Seriously! Good quality beef, egg yolk, olive oil, lots of pepper, salt. And also chopped: onion, marinated mushrooms, chopped pickled cucumber. This is spicy
There is a legend that this raw steak was brought by the Tatars in the Middle Ages, when they often attacked Poland from the east. That's why it's called Tatar. These Tatars were nomads from the steppes.
W Polsce mamy najlepsze jedzenie i każdy to potwierdzi z zagranicy kto spróbuje naszego pysznego żarełka :D
You are so beautiful , positive and funny. Will you ... oh wait, I'm way too old for you. Now I'm off to learn more about you and Ethiopia. Btw, it took me years to finally overcome my fear of tartar or tatar and it was delicious. Also I studied with Ethiopian guy for our network certification. Daniel and I became buddies ... Greetings from Polish guy in Canada.
🍀🌻❤️🙏🏿😘
Sper vid! Nex time take a Polish guide though! Mushroom soup - zupa borowikowa made of a most noble wild/forest mushrooms!!
Legendary Pierogies filled with all kinds of fillings - meat, sauerkraut+mushrooms, cheese +mashed potatos, spinnach, etc
Bacon/pork grease-based bread spread (smalec)!
Kompot - a compote - different fruits boiled in water - apples, cherries, pears, etc (rarely cranberries though.
The bread spreads you've got in Szwejk Restaurant in Warsaw (my favorite too! Good choice!) - white is farmer's cheese based, the pink - spiced pork meat based ("metka")
Tartar steak - super delicacy! Very filling. Have it only ONCE A DAY, good to follow with white, clear, cold vodka! :) :)
Etc. :)
I see you are in Toruń - one of my favorite cities in Poland (birthlplace of Nicolaus Copernicus). Good luck and THANK YOU!
Love to you all from Poland
great movie i hope you really enjoy with polish taste
Absolutely fantastic review well done
The best thing about traditional home made bigos is that basic recipe is something that almost everyone knows. Its just sauerkraut cooked with meat and few other things. But every family has their own personal touch to it thas is passed from generation to generation and often constantly perfected in the process. I mean Sectret additional ingredients and different tweaks and so on... If you visit few different houses and you will be given bigos in each of them you wont eat 2 portions that will taste and "feel" the same. Personaly I like for example to add meat from differnt cuts to provide some variety of flavour and texrure... Also Im adding spices like dried paprika and whole grain mustard...
Your making me hungry with this comment now I want some bigos 🤤
Setę i lornetę się kiedyś zamawiało czyli wódka i dwie galarety 😋
Lorneta to dwie pięćdziesiątki. Lorneta z meduzą to 2x50 i zimne nóżki w galarecie ;)
Tatar 😋💪👍
Before I became vegeterian I loved TATAR . Sounds and looks weird but it was always delicious!! :)
So true
Just one note. It wasn't a Bigos. You can't eat good bigos in the restaurant. This dish should be heated and cooled for several days. Now sanitary regulations prohibit it. There should be as much meat in Bigos as cabbage. Meat and cold cuts should be of different types. There should also be a lot of mushrooms and it should be seasoned with wine. :-))))))
And most Polish people, women and men, young and old, know very well, how to make a good, real bigos :)
@@alh6255 TAK ALE W DOMU:-) I TO CO PISZESZ JEST PRAWDĄ ALE JA PISZĘ O BIGOSACH RESTAURACYJNYCH.
Everyone have its "own" biggos. My grandmother one is way diferent than my mother one. I bever ate two identical ones. They can taste soo much diferent
@@qzg7857 I agree, but your grandmother and mother adhere to the basic proportions. You know, there are many varieties of bigos. They are roughly: hunting bigos, Vivat, domestic, old Polish, etc.
Not to forget dried plums...

- is it alcoholic?
No, but you have given to polish people a new idea, so who knows😂💡💡💡

@@madziulaa88pig oh. Indeed!
Take 2 kg of cherries, jar them with vodka and sugar, and wait a month or two...
@@HabeshaTraveler You can eat kompot as fruit soup served in hot days. Basically you add pasta to the kompot, some cream and serce it in room temperature or slightly chilled. The best imo is one made of sour cherries or plums.

Only thing I can say... Comercial dishes have nothing with traditional Pols food _-_ You need to go for some Agroturystyka in a smal tawn :) THan you can tell whats good ;)
Tatar is served raw and some people like it. Bigos is very traditional in Poland. Also Flaczki, Barszcz and Zurek. Pierogi is a dish but some use it more as a desert if its made sweet. You should visit Polands mountains and taste Oscypek or Bundz. You should go and buy it from a real Bacowka or else you risk getting a fake oscypek. Also in Polish mountains they have more regional foods that you won't find any other place in the world.
