    I am loving your videos!
    Can I make a request? Would love one where you talk about blending the elegance with an edgier style. How do you elevate a rocker-chic or edgy look so that it is leaning way more elegant or another way to think of it is how can you take an elegant outfit and make it a little less conservative. (if that's possible.) :) BIG THANKS! Loving your content. Keep up the great work!

    Our H & M stores only have very cheaply made items - i.e. polyester, plastic, acrylic, etc., and are guaranteed not to last. I live in Toronto. Furthermore, I am 5'2" tall (petite), and the alternations would cost more than the item. Cheap fabrics, longer sleeves, longer pants, etc. My advice is to save your money and either buy fewer but better quality pieces, or look for vintage, better quality pieces. And then there are those of us who sew... Really it is a lovely hobby, and it takes about a year to learn all the ropes. You can then make all the latest fashions just to fit YOUR body with all the natural fabrics available out there.

      I’m 5 feet and dresses, shirts and jackets don’t fit as the armholes are cut for a taller person. I discovered Zara and sometimes buy there. Maybe try Zara.

    As a broke student I can highly recommend the beige slacks you showed. I bought them in 3 different colours and they served me very well. As soon as i can afford more expensive ones in higher quality they will be a replaced but for now they are doing a great job. Love your videos! ❤

    Do you have some advice for old money look on a curvy body? I have an hourglass shape (thick legs and big bust but with a waist) and that makes it hard not to look too sexy with clothes that are too tight or look fatter than I am because I wear clothes that are too loose or too straight shaped.
    At the moment I'm wearing a lot of body-hugging black basics (dresses or pants) and pairing them with blouses, jackets or cardigans.
    I have completely neglected accessories and shoes so far.

    Right off the bat I have those bodysuits you said don’t buy. I love them! I bought to wear under a dress so I guess it won’t ruin my look. 😂😂😂 I don’t normally shop at H&M but for cheap basics it’s okay. Shoes or purses? Nope. No thanks.

    • @MademoiselleSpends
      @MademoiselleSpends  Před 3 měsíci +3

      I don’t wear a lot of bright colours, but when I do, I use them as a « statement piece ». For example, I have some colourful tops from India and Thailand, which I’ll wear with only neutral colours (beige, white, grey, black…). This way, the top really pops, and the rest of the outfit acts more as a « frame » to that statement piece.
      Happy to go more in depth in a future video 😊

    Ok, I was wondering why beige should always be the best of the best. There are different color types. And not everyone looks good in beige. Quite the opposite. I look sick in beige and nute colors, so I don't buy anything in beige. The same with pants, so if the fabric isn't close to my face, I don't think the trousers look good on me in that color. Especially if they are very light. The color white is different, it looks good on me. What do you recommend in this case?

    • @annapaik9460

    I think you need to twist it in any case with something expensive eg. belt because by default the pieces are quite poor quality pieces as you pointed out, seams are not at ther right places, etc.

    It's easy to look "expensive." Don't be fat, tuck your shirt in and wear a belt.

    • @MademoiselleSpends
      @MademoiselleSpends  Před 3 měsíci +12

    • @pegapage9603
      @pegapage9603 Před 11 dny

      She says that she has wider hips, not wide hips. I don't hear anything negative in saying so. It is just a matter of fact. You can be very slim and have quite wide hips. The width of our hips is just defined by our bones and doesn't say anything about our beauty.
