Then when nothing is happening he sprints for the nearest hiding place
@@NathanATaylor I'm more surprised by how narrow his active view circle is, something could be happening right infront of him, maybe something is directly trying to be in his view point, but he somehow doesn't see it until 3 minutes later when the thing goes to the exact center of his screen.

I doubt you'll see this comment but you actually can appreciate all of the voice actors' work while also having the subtitles pulled up on the pause menu! On the left of the screen where the character name of each audio file is displayed, there's a little inky play button that, when pressed, replays the recording with the menu still up.
He played one in the last video too

A Tip! If you want the voice acting for the recordings when listening in to them in the menu. There is a play button next to the title of recordings and you can hear the voices better
(Edit: I realize that Mat might like doing the voices and I only commented this based on what Ash and Mat said at 5:08 about wanting to hear the voice acting but the normal audio is hard to hear)

During the studio tour, I went crazy over how little they actually saw of what they were supposed to.
That's including them missing the pun of hang in there while the guy is literally hanging.

45:16 Apparently that's a real place. The Meatly said on twitter they'd be patching out that easter egg you found due to people finding it and kinda taking it too far (as they do with anything that they find to be a real place that has ARG/game implications/tie-ins/hints).

first thing i did was plug in google maps then looked up where joey drew studios was supposed to be located. I thought it was just cool that it was someplace within a reasonable drive of the fictional studio... didn't even think about it being an ARG thing
@@Kindyno It wasn’t meant to be an ARG. I meant that people took it too far, as in showing up to the place and harassing people as they do with ARG elements/real world locations that seem to have ties to the game(s)

@@TheBeyblade23 The coordinates point to the Dennings Point Ruins, which was in fact a brick manufacturing company, some of their bricks even make up the Rockefeller Centre and the Empire State Building.
It started operating in 1885.
By 1939, they stopped the production of bricks due to the lack of clay in the local enviroment.
It's in the same city as where Joey Drew Studios is located in the lore. It could have been where Gent's old headcarters have been (before they moved to JDS).

Mat!!!! For someone so focused on completion and lore, how could you miss the most important part of the studio tour!! I was screaming “look to your left!!! Omg LOOK in the WINDOW!!!” You’re supposed to see Carl actually hanging there. Hence the prompt, “in a room just like this one… etc.” lmao why would you just sit there staring at the speaker??😂

I don't know if you noticed, but after you found the Rubber Duck memory item and ran into the ink demon (at approximately 40 minutes into the game), you could see that a rubber duck could then be seen bobbing in the ink puddle things that you respawn from (which was at like 40:30). Maybe this means the more memory items you find, the more things get added to your respawn shower thing?

My heart drops every time Matt enters a new, potentially dangerous room, and immediately turns to some corner to dig through some drawers or something without scoping out danger in the greater room. Like, just give it a glance, please, for my sake. I haven’t watched anyone else play this game and I don’t do well with horror games so every time he does that I’m just holding my breath waiting for something to attack him. I cannot fathom how he’s so unperturbed by the situation, he enters a room and his back is immediately to the open space as if the ink demon’s diary is gonna disappear in a cloud of smoke if he doesn’t grab it immediately, never mind the scary ink zombies he needs the LORE. Man’s got priorities, I’ll give him that. Still I’ll whether potential scares any day to enjoy Matt and Ash’s banter. When this game came out I knew I wanted this channel to be the play through I watched first because I like the method and attitude they approach games with, not to mention how fun these guys are
When you’re recording yourself and talking with people who make you feel good and laughing, everything is less scary
I’m not good at horror games either, but I definitely found that texting/talking to people that I trust make everything feel better :)

You can hide in the vents and hit the barrels to create more hiding places. There are places outside the room the Lost One is in, to put the drawings.
By the time Matpat gets to the rest of the game, everyone else would probably make a bunch of theory videos before him. XD But I understand, he's a busy guy, so I don't blame him for taking so long getting through BATDR.

Me too. In the latest stream they uploaded, they say they won't be finishing it because of a "lack of viewership" aparently. They finished it off-camera to get the theory out while it was still "relevant". Why, Matpat?! First Spooky's Jumpscare Mansion then Hello Puppets midnight show, now Bendy. And we also can't forget him disregarding the Side Stories of DDLC +. It's like they abandon all the games that are interesting.

One is brought to wonder, how much of this was intentional, for rage-engagement. It boggles the mind to think the Lore Lord of CZcams would be entirely oblivious to nearly every context clue he's given.
Or, perhaps its a forest and trees moment. Too busy looking for something deeper, to see what's on the surface.
What I learned today is that MatPat is perfect for voicing edgy emo teens.

No hate on Mat tho, I think they just expected people to look around but Mat just stood still cause he gotta concentrate on the looooooooore
Honestly its an issue with the story design, the audio doesn’t actually direct you to look in the windows iirc, and there’s no clear indication that the curtains will open, plenty of people might do the same as matpat, or just walk off instead
@@Lovingmadjom I dunno the way it talks about specific rooms definitely alluded there was more which kinda prompts you to look around. N the huuuuuuuge windows with room names are kinda obvious BUT theres no indication that the curtains were openin. So someone could easily miss out by bein like oh these are covered up but the audio still works.

I got so frustrated watching this I had to pause the video and come back to it a couple hours later. I always watch GTLive thinking this is the lore hunting channel, surely they won't miss anything! And then Matt stares at a wall instead of at what's happening right in front of him.

I was on a tour of Louisa May Alcott's house last summer and the tour guide gave the kids something to do--to find the apples in each room. It was cute. Sure they interrupted with "THERE IT IS!" sometimes, but it gave them something to entertain them while the adults heard the facts they came for.

Edit: He found that the windows open and close, but didn't even see the most important one! I suggest going back and at least looking at the Carl scene. Let's just say Carl isn't having a good time...

While playing Bendy And The Dark Revival, when you are listening to a tape, you can listen to it while reading. Go to the pause menu, click on tapes, pick a tape you want to listen to, & lastly click the play button on the left. That should do the trick. 😊👍🏻

Watching these Batdr GTLive videos, it seems to me that Mat isn’t taking this game as seriously as others I’ve watched. Obviously this is MatPat we’re talking about, but I don’t think he has expectations for this game based on how much he’s joking about every little detail. He’s gonna be really caught off guard when the real lore dumps come in
And yes I know that he’s analyzing every detail for theory reasons obviously, but given that other big sequel games like Security Breach have been so lackluster, seems like he’s expecting the same from a different franchise
The part where the guy goes insane about animating is basically any animator ever after the sketch stage

The puddle sending vibes would have been the perfect moment to introduce the upgrade flasks with whispers of "Smash... punch" instead of you randomly finding one and Audrey randomly fisting it.
You know you'd think if this was Ink Demon's realm, he'd be able to see everything everywhere. It feels silly that all we have to do is hide in an open box or an open barrel and he's just like "oh where did she go? She must have escaped" 😂

The first note you read in the game, the one that is from "Your Best Pal". The second paragraph quotes: "Don't be afraid of who you are. Fear only what you may become, and BANISH it away."
That could mean that there might be two endings, one by knockin' ink monsters out and killing bosses, or, get the possible good ending, by banishing all of them instead. It's only a guess, considering you got the banish ability now, and what the note says.
