Really really great video. Thanks a lot for your review. It is helpful for us to improve our product and serve our customers better.
That would be awesome, if you can change the fuse access port for that battery... Will save you guys a lot of returns and repairs
Your awesome!! 5 min fix. Thanks man
Great deal. Just right size for us. Wish we had bought one sooner.
Great video thanks for making this
Ok if the fuse is not in the battery where else can it be, I've got my battery stopped but can't figure out how to send a pic so, where else could the fus or fuses be, thanks so much
The 35A fuse didn’t blow on the Lectric eBike I just repaired for my former roommate… it was the fuse holder itself! The fuse was fine but the fuse holder was just a couple cheap crimp-on blade terminals in a thin plastic shell. There wasn’t enough surface contact for 35A, so it burned up the small area where it was connected on each prong. Pretty silly to use a 35A fuse without a fuse holder rated for that. They ended up turning the fuse holder into a
That's another problem that can happen
Watched your video and hoping you can help me. My issue is the broken plastic collar that holds the charging port. the femail end of the charge port has slid slightly inside of the battery, I can see it in there but how do I repair it?
very good
Thanks, good to know if it ever happens to me. I don't have the riding skills to push mine as hard as you push yours!
It's when I put the battery on it sparks. So I'll never take it off... From now on
@@TheCrazyRomanian Nice informative video. Iwonder what other manufacturers do in order to prevent the fuse failure during battery installation? I assume the others use fuses also. Something sounds fishy here.
Either their Engineers are incompetent or there's some other problem you have with your assembly that causes the arcing.
Do know what is the controller model # for sailbova e-bike
Thank you so much
Glad to hear that
I was hoping this was my problem, alas my battery has power but it won't turn on. Verified all connections and I can't find any problems. Thank you for the video anyways :p
Me too, my Himiway cruiser has bee broken for over a month and countless emails back and forth. Same, no power. They sent me a used banged up display and that didn't work. Now they are sending another display with a controller, but this all takes a very long time. Plus they expect you to be a bike mechanic.
@@wellfleetion In over 2600K I've had zero issues with my Himiway...none. Not even a flat tire, so perhaps it's the way it's being ridden or not maintained? To me, it sounds like it could be more of a 'controller' issue, so hopefully you are back up and riding again!
@@Powerstroke98
Yeah, the 10 or so flat tires I've had and the numerous adjustments needed with the crappy brakes have to do with the way I'm riding it, and/or, not maintaining it? Hmmm. I've had two Cruisers and ridden over 4k.
@@wellfleetion Wow, that's a lot of riding! Yes, glad I've had no flats, as I've seen a few guys with their bikes upside down on the side of the road, and that just doesn't look like fun. I keep thinking I should make the change to full hydraulic brakes, as I noticed on my way home this mornings ride, the brakes work, but they sure are not 'great'. Had an odd thing happen, where once I first turned the bike on, it wasn't showing my speed, or adding any miles on the odometer. So I stopped, thinking I could just take the battery off...but of course I didn't have the battery key with me. So thankfully, I left with a full battery...and the bike worked just fine, but I was going to play a few games of Pickleball with a group about 30 miles out, and when I got there it wouldn't shut off. So I left it on, and it stayed 'on' the whole time I was there and the bike performed just fine there and back thankfully. When I got home I took the battery off, used some 'electronics cleaner' with a toothbrush, cleaned all the connectors, and all is back working as it should! First time that's happened, so I'll have to remember to give them a cleaning every year or so.
This battery configuration is different from my HIMIWAY cruiser battery. The output battery fuse is internal and its surface mount on my battery it requires you to take the battery case off to replace the fuse. My battery pack was mfg by TFI.
Himiway should not be expecting their customers to be popping open lithium batteries!!!
I doubt Himiway would 'expect' you to do so, thus those doing so, are doing it at their own peril of course. It would be sad though, to be tossing a battery out, where in effect the only thing wrong with it, is a needed fuse!
How about the head light and tail light to they have a fuse also?
I lost my keys to lock my battery now I need to wait for them to send me another set battery is fine but display won't come on it sucks, make sure you don't lose your keys
My bike shut off and got the spark when I put battery back on but looks like wires from battery housing unit to frame to back tire where severed
Why did the fuse blow?
Thanks, My battery also has no power where it connects to the bike but is fully charged and both fuses are good, I think my BMS is bad but can't find the Himiway one anywhere and would rather not have to re solder everything with aftermarket one would be great to just find Himiway one and just plug it in and tape it down.
Yeah I doubt that you gonna find one ...
But good luck
I went to a company that repairs batteries for scooters (the type seniors use) and electric wheel chairs. They also repair e-bike batteries, as my wife's Rad battery wouldn't charge, and she only had 40 miles on her bike. After doing some tests they asked me to do, as well as pictures and a video, they eventually sent us out a new battery. Rad expected me to dispose of the battery, so I took it to this small shop in the city, and within a week, it was up and working as it did when we bought the bike. The repair was reasonable. The only thing it doesn't do now, is where you press the button at the top, and it lights up to show you how charge it is...isn't working, but it operates the bike just fine, and the charge of the battery shows on the main screen when she's riding, so now we have 'two' operating batteries.
Thank for sharing this! My battery is not showing any power. It shows 20 volts when I test it. Would this work for that or is it something else? Thank you.
If you got power at the bottom 20 v than you need to take itbaopsrt, most likely half of it died
@@TheCrazyRomanian It means you are only getting 'half' of what the battery is capable of.
my Himiway cruiser keeps cutting out - power just goes off after a few seconds. I have had no issues with this save a similar one when I first got the bike, nearly 2000 miles ago, and it just started working on it's own ever since. My fuse is probably working if I get power at all no ?
Yeah, most likely the controller is going out.. Also you might have a short în the harness...
I've got a bike call I rich it, I have got my battery open, and still can't find the fuse and where, bis so frustration, any ideas where it might else be ,if I can send I picture I will
The big question is why did the fuse blow
They moved the goddamn fuse internally and wrapped it in something unmoveable
They want us to pay 550 a battery
easy fix, now back to ride reports!!!
Unfortunately my bike is still down lost the controller and some hall sensors in the motor code 24 in the dash...
@@TheCrazyRomanian how were you riding when it blew out? had you modified bike electrically in anyway? I love your ebike reports because they really take the bike through its capabilities, thanks
My battery didn't have the fuse there it's an escape but mine won't charge but battery still has power
my ebike not swith off and no actual speed .why?
i hve power on dashboard but no power on motor?
Hello my name is marcos i have a kbo and turn on and off on the display
Do the headlights on a ebike has a fuse?
Not to my knowledge, as I believe the headlight all works through the controller for power.
Yo thanks my bike is now dead
?????
Couldn't see the fuse he removed, wtf does it look like if it's blown? My fuse is solid color instead of clear glass so I can't tell if it's blown. Not a real informative video btw.
Do you want him to test it for you too? Don't be rude and google the sh1t you ****. My guess is you don't own a multimeter, might be too ***** to use it if you did.
