i have a idea : try to put a console (ps4 xbox one) inside a case like case swap it try to take the console mobo and put it inside a pc case it will be cool!

Nice swap. I would buy a replacement cover for the HD cover / bay if you can get it cheap enough, purely to keep bugs out.
As a PS4 owner who recently gotten more into PC gaming because I upgraded my rig and I'm tired of paying for PS Plus, I don't think you got scammed. I still have my OG model and it still works. Mainly use it for the single player games and F2P titles I don't want on my PC. Like I'm still rebuilding some of my multiplayer library on PC, but it's worth it in the end. Besides, I still have plenty of single player games in my PS4 backlog that I wanna catch up on.

You want to check the firmware version of the PS4. If it's lower than 11.0 you're lucky. It can be jailbroken. If it's below 9.00 you're really lucky.
Whatever you do, don't upgrade the system software. Jailbroken PS4s can do some pretty interesting stuff like using cheats, changing game resolution, remove framerate lock....
Edit: probably too late for that. changing the drive and installing the OS probably upgraded the firmware in the process. Oh well...
Get yourself some Mr. Clean Magic Erasers and scour the top sides and bottom with it, it will remove most if not all of that white scuff marks as well as any discoloration areas. Can also add a bit of water to the Eraser and give a bit of wet scouring too.

I have been wanting to buy a cheap PS4 Pro because there are lots of cheap games for it but prices have always been outrageous for them, $400Cdn on the used market. I'll never pay anywhere close to that for it.

I believe its a sata 2 interface. So speed wise it wont be much, but random seeks should be better
I tried it a long time ago, and my load times were significantly better. Even the UI seemed to feel just slightly more responsive. It's worth doing if you have an SSD you aren't using

Fun fact: Sony in their infinite wisdom thought using a usb to sata adapter for the hdd would suffice, no dedicated sata controller. FKING GENIUSES.

Not bad i mean the PS4 still has new games coming to it and it plays them just fine,also the slim is the quietest ps4 version. Don't mind the hate for TLOU2,the story might be mediocre but the graphics,details and the gameplay are beautiful. I'd just get a new case for it because it looks worn out,it's missing the hdd cover and it looks to have some broken plastic clips

The computer market for the most part is dead. For new and used. TECH yes pointed out that sales are stagnant. Consoles if you get them cheap enough in this market. Refurbish them. Hold on to them when the market is better and people do pay good money for the vintage nostalgia.

Terrible swap.. awful. you traded a Z640 - a system which, properly equipped, could easily sell for a few hundred dollars and play just about anything, for a PS4 in poor condtion. A PS4 - something that can be found for $100 almost any day of the week in GOOD condition .. and this one is certainly not that. That Z640 can take an E5-2690 v3 CPU - a 12-core 2.6GHZ (3.5 boost), or an e5-2680 v4 ( 14 core at 2.4 GHz / 3.3 boost), both of which sell for around $15 or less on Ebay. It has tons of storage and upgrade options, and that one came with a PSU that supports a good GPU.. and you let it go for a PS4 in crappy condition. I don't get it.
