- In this video Andrew spent 4 weeks fishing for 1 huge brown trout in a tiny creek!!
This creek has a unique set of beaver ponds that allows the wild brown trout inside of them to grow far larger than they ever would in the tiny creek they inhabit. Andrew spent several weeks targeting one fish that was over 20 inches before eventually catching one of the big brown trout in the ponds. Fly fishing for these brown trout with 7x tippet and tiny size 20 or smaller dry flies was a blast! Dry fly fishing for big brown trout never gets old.
Thank you so much for watching!!
Stunningly beautiful brown trout! Hard to imagine them living there with that much vegetation around. A marvellous footage, indeed.
Thank you!! Glad you enjoyed the video
Great fishing adventure. Thanks for sharing.
Awesome video Andrew those were some nice Browns.
Great experience Andrew. Beautiful ponds and browns. You sure could tell where the wildfires had scorched the earth.
No doubt! Thanks for watching
Beautiful!
Great brown trout video. You might use a light yellow polarized filter next time to add the suspense of sight fishing.
Some of the most beautiful browns I've seen. Great job, Andrew, staying in the fight.
Thank you!
Beautiful fish, great video, wonderful experience!
@UCA3LzbDmRuPawCm7nyplkag hello, I recieved your message! I just want to make sure this is liget.
Well done, Andrew! A real study in perseverance. Gorgeous browns and a pretty fabulous setting. Thanks for an awesome adventure!
I'm glad you enjoyed!!
Another excellent job Andrew. Way to stick with it. Thank you.
What an amazing journey for you! So cool to to see such large trout in those beaver ponds. Good for you.
Thanks so much!
Persistence on a whole new level. I feel like I’ve worked a fish if I spend more than 10 minutes on it. Days! ? Days!? You’re an animal.
Thanks!! Glad you enjoyed the vid!
Super nice trout too... I'm sure you caught some dinks but wow.. good job
What a great fishing hole! Nice day :) Thanks for sharing
Excellent! Amazing colors on those browns too. Well done

Great video. Those are the kinds of Browns you dream of. Thanks for sharing.
Now that's what I call brown's of a lifetime. Excellent video, I enjoyed watching. Tight lines!👍
Thank you!
I really enjoyed that the quality of them browns is unmatched. The amount of time you put into making a 25min video is staggering but the results are worth it, it's the reason i always get a bit excited when a new Hardman vid pops up. Well done Andrew! Bet you was a tad jealous on this one Jon. 😜🎣
I was definitely jealous. I got to watch this video the same as everyone else! Thanks for watching as always
Now THAT is some snaggy brownie water.
I found this spot while adventuring today and I absolutely lost it. Thanks for making such killer content!
is that a forest fire aftermath?
Great video! What a cool place, too. That's an outing to remember. Bravo.
Colorado Goliath ! Good job , beautiful big browns !
GREAT! 🎣,well done
Incredibly unique area. I loved the fishing and the video quality was top notch 👍👍
Nice video!! My biggest brown to date took me three trips and over 15 hours to land! When you invest that kind of time in a single fish it makes it so much sweeter when you land it!
Couldn't agree more!!
easily my favourite american fly fishing you tuber. the diverse in species and methods always keeps it interesting.
the way you practice safe catch and release and i haven’t even seen one disgusting egg pattern been used. If i’m ever blessed with the chance to travel to america im definitely hitting you up for a epic fishing sesh! 🎣🎣🎣
Thank you so much for the kind words!! Glad you enjoy the videos
Awesome job you guys always make great videos.
Amazing brown trout! That one real big one had awesome colors on it's adipose fin.
I know! It was even more incredible in real life
Man those are picture perfect examples of Brown Trout. 👍
Couldn't agree more!
Man. All those fish were gorgeous. Thanks for sharing

Really loving these videos. Could you show your rod set up and what flies you’re using in the videos?
Rod setup like the Renegade Black combo rod and reel.
Awesome browns! Great videos, always looking for them
Glad you enjoyed the video!
I recently found some beaver ponds off the beaten trail here in Utah. It's a small creek but the ponds are deep and the fish are big. The only challenge is that they can be easy to spook because the water is so still and clear. Thanks for sharing the hype!
That's awesome!! Glad you enjoyed
I dress in camouflage when I fish. Might want to give that a try.
Great video guys, Beautiful trout !
Thank you!!
Awesome enjoy man
Awesome browns Andrew!
Awesome video!!
Another great video! Keep up the awesome content!
We'll try! Thanks for watching!
Absolutely amazing 👍😃👍
I have heard a lot of anglers talking about great fishing in beaver's ponds, I must try!
Give it a shot! Usually some of the biggest fish, but also the hardest to catch
Awesome
Perseverance - well done!

Excellent!
Thanks Larry!
Gorgeous fish.
Hard to believe their size and abundance in such a small pond. Intrigued by the beaver motif.
I fished a lot of beaver ponds in Northern Ontario as a kid. (Black flies galore) but never found this kind of abundance.
Well abundance is relative. These fish were caught over the course of days and days of fishing. But yes this was a particularly good set of ponds!
Awesome catch and release on that second brownie. Enjoyed this video and always tight lines. Tony
Thanks Tony!!
Nice! My dreams to find giant brookies in a remote beaver pond.
Far different from the beaver ponds of New England but one thing never changes. The best day to fish them is the overcast and light rain ones. In ours an 8in Brook is a giant and roll casting is a must if you want any gear left. Sitting on a stump in the rain casting to those natives is an experience. An explanation of the gear your using for each of these awesome video's would be nice including the flies your casting
You had an awesome spot. now everyone and their dog will be there. lol.
Well done man!🙂👍 Even missing the one you were aiming for you caught some BEAUUUUUTIES my friend. You got nuthin ta be bummed out about bro. Props man, PROPS! Love the vidz and plz keep em comin. Peace ✌😎 (besides, you know where that one lives🤫)

Nice trout I’ve been fly fishing since I was 4 but with a fly rod from the age of about 7
That's awesome!! You got started early. I didn't pick up a fly rod until I was in high school, and then didn't take it seriously until I was probably 19-20 years old.
Look at the adipose fin at 16;10 wow!! those two misses on the big one looked like a late set on the video. awesome job! after seeing the giant... they are out of the genetics with the spots on the adipose fin!!

Beutiful Brown's man! If you didn't have to work for those fish it wouldn't be worth it! Great video!
You got that right! Thanks for watching!
Just came across this video, beautiful fish! Wondering what your mindset/strategy is on the hookset? It looks like you are waiting until long after the fish has eaten the fly to set, and are setting very softly, and it works! Do you find that leads to more successful hookups? Thanks!
very nice video,,,,nice browns,,,,but not huge
❤☘
Really enjoyed the video Thank you 👍! Those were some beautiful Browns in the Beaver Ponds. The last Brown was a brute ... nicely done landing it ! I noticed a lot of downed trees in the background. Due to Beavers, other causes or combination of both ? Do you know if the beavers populated the area naturally on their own or were they placed there ? 😊 😎

@@leemowers9395 Thank you for the "Heads Up" ! Unfortunately I have seen this same type of message posted on different videos.
If you don’t mind me asking I’m going to West Virginia in a few months for a trip and I’m relatively new to trout fishing because there isn’t a lot where I’m from so do you have any suggestions
I love your footage and the places you fish. I hope you’re using words like “big” and “huge” to get views, which, I wouldn’t blame you for. But, those are just average browns. Big is 22. Huge is 24+. Either way, I can tell you’re a great angler and def know what you’re doing. And you’re finding some rad places to fish! Just gotta keep it real with you homie ;) not trying to throw shade. I’m def hitting that subscribe button!
Great work on those browns! Question on that last one you lost in the cut bank…was there room below you to walk it down? You walked towards the trouble spots on that log and undercut.
Well I didn't have much of a choice because I was throwing size 24 flies and light tippet. I couldn't really horse the brown out of the area he wanted to go. If I could have walked him down I definitely would have
You gotta go back and get the one at the log!
I have done well on bever ponds for rainbows and brook trout up to two pounds. Never caught a brown in one though.
Just have to find the right beaver pond!!
I prefer your videos over your brothers . Great job
Going to get my first rod and reel combo tomorrow. I heard 5,6 weight, 9 foot pole is the best for targeting trout? I was curious what brand rod you use?
Yep! I'd say go with a 9 foot 5 wt personally. And I use renegade fly rods!
What wt rods do you guys have for trout fishing? I know you have 3 wts or something for the small creeks, but I’m curious. I’m looking to get another rod or 2.
Btw nice video Andrew!! You guys do so well with these videos.
I was using a 3 wt in this video. It is made my renegade fly rods
Hey Man, you in CO? Looks like the Cheesman canyon burn scar. Is this on public land?
Nice fish! That clearcut is just horrible!
Surprised there aren't any big birds around, looks like fast food!
Fat still water giants. Pa Pow!
I'm still trying to figure out why you feed line by hand when you pull it off the reel with your right hand
Tighten your spool 😂
Wondering about the landscape in the background…Logging? Fire? Armageddon?
so beautiful! Where is this?
Caution scammer active
nice! where was this?
Colorado
We're you fishing public or private water
Always public!
Any body else see the wooden duck at 1:30? 😃
is this in Colorado? the burn scars look familiar to me but I don't want to name exact location.
Yep!
Where is this?
And show us your flys as the catch fish or are they secrets
I'll show them next video!
I know you were saying something at beginning of video...But music was SO Loud...I couldn't make out a word !
HOW ABOUT TELLING US WHAT STATE THIS FISHING IS IN. i SUSPECT ALASKA OR COLORADO OR WHERE??????
I would have eaten every one of those trout!
Caution, Scammer Active.
Who is this guy
It's my brother Andrew! He's been in several videos before and has started to make a few videos for the channel when I don't have one ready for the week
It would be nice if you set your camera up somewhere else on your body or somewhere next to you. We miss almost every eat.
You could see very eat but one in the video. I was just using small dry flies and the browns were barely sipping the fly. Short of having a professional camera crew with me this is about as good as it's going to get!
@@hardmanfishing word! Was just suggesting setting the camera at a higher view
bro u talk too much...
