stayed gone is actually one of the more popular tracks and its in my top 5 i love electro swing. the thing is they're establishing these characters so they can be expanded on in later seasons relax it'll get explained later lol

There’s a post credit scene In The pilot of Sir Pentious crawling back out of the hole Alastor dragged him into. A lot of people miss it cause they stop watching as soon as the credits roll so I don’t blame you for thinking he was donezo

The series does start to ramp up quickly from here on out. Episode 3 introduces more characters. Be aware that episode is pretty intense and is the only episode rated 18+ and it's for a reason (though it does have 2 amazing songs to rock out to).
Isn't that episode 4? The one that tends to he the most intense and rated 18+

Such an enjoyable episode am really loving this series so far.
I generally agree that "Stayed Gone" is a bit weaker, I think for me the expositional value overpowers the music, but listening to it in your reaction it does have some nice flourishes, but I agree across the board. It is a very functional song.
Yeah, it feels stronger right then but as the series progresses, not so much. Mostly I think because only Vel and Val have any real presence after this. Even by the end, Vox is kind of meh in terms of presence, which kind of makes Alastor's point about his strength.

Your opinion about stayed gone is really interesting. Im curious to see what your ranking of the songs would be after you’ve heard them all, but for me personally stayed gone was my favorite until hells greatest dad. The first time I heard it it was stuck in my head for weeks, I would wake up with the song already playing in my head, so it’s interesting to see someone not like it as much lol

"Stayed Gone is the weakest song so far", well i personally find it better than Starts with Sorry, but thats my taste, i like the more up-tempo songs and the battle style it's done in.
As for weakest song overall... stares in "Welcome to Heaven"
Hazbin and Helluva Boss are in the same universe. In fact, the Hazbin Hotel is on the greed ring of Helluva Boss if I remember correctly. As hell born, imps like Millie and Moxie will be seen from time to time in Hazbin. As well as other demons like one later who is similar to Beelzebub while Valentino's assistant looks alot like Fizzeroli.

I totally agree with you that the first song, "Stayed Gone", is probably the weakest one in the show so far, but it did explain the ongoing feud between Vox and Alastor. As Alastor said at one point in the song, Vox had wanted him to team up with the Vees, but he refused. So Vox now has a grudge against him.
The weakest ? It's one of the most popular. In basically all rankings it's at least in the top 5 mostly in the top 3
