I love they give Alastor a radio like tone to his voice and Vox gets like a TV warble effect with his. It's the little details like that, that makes this show even more amazing

I've been impressed by how well Brightman has done at making Sir Pentious his own instead of trying to imitate Stamper.

You know Alastor strikes the most genuine fear in Vox by how hard Vox went to flex & shit talk The Radio Demon.
Stayed Gone is definitely my favorite song of the series so far. Closely followed by Loser, Baby in ep 4.
Sir Pentious and Adam are both voiced by Alex Brightman (our beloved Fizzarolli, and broadway Beetlejuice).
Some fun facts have been coming out about little hints in certain characters voices.
Valentino randomly squeaks, which is something moths do in real life.
Vox's voice pitch switches (like the radiowave effect).
And, my favorite, is when Alastor starts going full demon, you hear the telltale screeching of the Wendigo.
Box starting so confident to throwing a tantrum did just make Alastor so much cooler
@@TheMadVari It's interesting to see Vox as the 'leader' of the Vees too. For the longest time I thought it'd be Valentino with some 'Big Boss Man'/pimp energy. Instead he's a bipolar psychopath with a glass ego.
Valentino seems to be easier to manipulate but it makes sense with the tapes being where he makes his money and puts his contracted demons, without video he’s just another love hotel owner setup

At the end of the Alastor and Vox song, Vox was terrified when Alastor responded to what he said before he started recording, meaning that alastor could hear or see Vox even without going live
Alastors transformation during Stayed Gone was both Awesome and Terrifying on first watch. Also we get to hear his Non-radio voice sort of at the end when he starts laughing after dropping the Voxwatch.
His true form might just be one of the coolest terror designs Ive seen in awhile

@@TheMadVari I really hope so! Tomorrow we get episode 5 (and possibly 6) and from what I heard the 1st/2nd of the next month we'll be getting 7-8. I can't wait to see how this season goes, I also can't wait to see Lucifer and how he is in the show, some think he'll be a villain some think he'll just be another friendly-ish character.
Im expecting a neglectful father that just acts like he only wants Charlie to give up the hotel and start being like an overlord

I think somth so cool is that Vox can literally go into his tech and hypnotize people with visuals. But Alastor has a way of essentially corrupting technology with whatever Wendigo powers he's got so knowing that Vox was probably posessing the watch when Alastor called was incredibly painful for Alastor to show his face on the screen and corrupt Vox's own data.
Vox's traversal ability and the way his voice shift makes the monkey in my head clap its symbols
Lilith is planning something and somehow Alastor is part of her plan
I've said this theory elsewhere:
I'm not sure what role Lilith plays in it, but I suspect Alastor is planning a "hostile takeover" of Hell.
Short version? Alastor is too smart, conniving, ambitious, ruthless, and-as we see in Ep3-secretive to just be *accidentally* schmoozing up to the daughter of Lucifer.
I think Alastor is planning to get Charlie into a really bad deal for her-perhaps SOMEHOW gaining ownership of Charlie's soul-and using this as a bargaining chip to have Lucifer surrender his power to Alastor.
If I had to take a stab at Lilith's motives, Lilith, as powerful as she is, is originally a human soul. Perhaps she's planning to have Lucifer taken out as a way to buy her and Charlie passage into Heaven, and Alastor is her choice for a new master of Hell? Hard to say, I'm not sure what Lucifer and Lilith's relationship is like at the moment.

Even though I do prefer stampers voice, I LOVE the new voice as well! I like how it sounds more British because he died in Britain in the Victorian era (1888 specifically) which also explains the steampunk stuff. Anyway, even though I like stampers voice better, I think that the new one fits his character more.
I do like the new voice especially the direction they're taking the character the new voice for sure fits so much better looking back now.

I always try to make sure to include all I can as it’s not as fun a watch if not, sadly gotta have the thing on but I plan to keep playing with it to see how good we can get it to look
Just a thought. TV is still broadcast over radio waves... is it any wonder Vox has an issue with Alastor? Alastor essentially holds power over Vox's medium/base of power. The old saying about two tigers can not share the same hill applies.
I agree about Stamper, the man has such godly gusto in his performances and a super unique voice. I knew they wouldn't be able to come up with a suitable replacement, Stamper's sound is just too dang unique. Though since he's not in the VA game anymore he wouldn't have been back even if they hadn't been required to use the studio's affiliated VA guild 😕

@@TheMadVari I am loving the direction they took his character. And straight up: the 'Sorry' song was the first time I teared-up in the series, too. Of all the predictions I could have made for the show, 'song featuring Sir Pentious causing first tears' would not have been one XD
I have a theory, and I'm sure I'm not the first.
I think, since the events of the pilot are confirmed to be canon, that Alastor is under some kind of contract with Lilith.
They both disappeared around the same time, and he showed up willing to help Charlie with her project literal moments after she left a message for her mother about how she was worried that everything was going to fail.
I agree it’s setup to be some kind of relationship with them

with Alastor and Lillith. On pilot when Charlie was asking her mother for help, Alastor came to door. So it's seems like Lillith send him to Charlie.

Vox's design is probably my favourite in the whole show. The TV head idea??? His voice?? Absolutely amazing. Though I gotta admit what makes him all the more interesting to me is his (totally not homoerotic) obsession with Alastor. Can't wait to see more of their dynamic in season 2, really curious because so far Alastor doesn't seem to consider Vox a worthy opponent, he's kinda just messing with him (which ngl makes Vox look kind of pathetic for getting worked up over somebody who couldn't give two shits about him)
That pic at the ends has them both in it but vox is torn out so at one point they were somewhat closer
We know Lucifer is innately powerful, but Lilith gets stronger based on the amount of souls in Hell. It doesn't seem like she'd want Charlie to succeed since that would make her weaker, she might believe in Charlie so much that she thinks she needs to insert Alastor to ensure she fails.

1:44 As someone who doesn't have tiktok (Instagram is my thing), loves spoilers, yet don't spoil anything to my friends who are like you, and absolutely hate them, I'd say stay away from tiktok until after you watch the episode(s), because the others are not gonna stop sharing the things they liked about said episodes, and you will continue to get frustrated by it so 🤷♀️ just saying
