Great info MAK! I have some issues after downloading the free version of Fluent CRM. Got it all hooked up with Amazon SES and here's some questions and things that need major improvement before I would move forward with buying Pro.
1. Is there a way to download the contact lists from the interface? It would be great to be able to download the lists by tag/segment/status to enter into my offline database however I could not find a way to do that anywhere.
2. Where can you view bounce and unsubscribe records for an email campaign? The only way I found this info is is when I go into the contact lists and filter them by status (bounce/unsubscribe/etc) again, no way to download the list. It's crucial to see this info for the campaigns to gauge the health of the list and track how the campaign did. If there's an increase in unsubscribes or bounces, it tells me adjustments need to be made. Would be ideal to see this info in the dashboard somewhere.
3. I followed Fluent CRM's step by step instructions to set up the bounce handler with Amazon SES and it said it was successfully connected. However, when I sent a few test campaigns to multiple email service providers, my Gmail accounts were not showing the emails. I went into my SES account and it said they were bouncing, but the contact status in Fluent CRM says they are still "subscribed" and not "bounced." So the connection is not being made somehow.
I like the concept of the software and want to use it, but these are some basic functions that I can't do without. Please let me know if these issues are something on the radar to be addressed or if the Pro version does a better job of delivering emails, providing more detailed analytics on campaigns and the ability to download lists. Maybe put in a good word with your buddy over at ManageNinja
