      It’s intense. I try to remind my clients that AWS and this type of connection is really meant for enterprise level solutions. Amazon won’t make money off of someone like me. They make money off massive volume. So the process matches the real demographic.
      But hopefully this tutorial can help even small organizations benefit from the affordable service of SES.

    Hey Doug,
    Thanks for the video. I've been using a lot of your videos to help set up my website.
    About a year ago I tried out Fluent CRM but the delivery was extreeeeemely slow (I have a list of 10,000 people and it was going to take 1-2 days to send all the emails).
    I then tried to set up Amazon SES with no luck on getting verified. There were no videos like yours at the time. I was thinking that Amazon SES would allow me to deliver emails at the same speed as a Mailchimp or Getrespone.
    My question is, with your experience with your set up, do your emails from Fluent CRM send quickly or does it take a long time to send them?
    Thanks again!

    • @Convology
      @Convology  Před 2 lety

      Amazon SES determines your delivery speed. My accounts typically get between 14 and 25 emails per second. For 10,000 emails that would take about 12 minutes. If you use the service and show you're not a spammer, you can request an increase in your sending speed from Amazon. In fact, I once requested a larger sending limit and they gave me faster sending without me even having to ask.

    • @Convology
      @Convology  Před 3 měsíci

      FluentCRM can be anywhere, even on a domain completely unrelated to the emails you've configured to send. I have FluentCRM on my members.convology.com subdomain, I send emails from doug@convology.com, and I authenticate those through a custom sending domain (emails.convology.com). Thank you for this video! I recently had increased traffic on my website as people signed up for my list and transactional emails were sent - WPX as the host notified me that I can only send 50 emails/30 minutes and shut off email capability. With fluent crm and Amazon SES is the webhost sending any emails or is it a separate system? Currently I have a form that submits information to flodesk that does trigger the wpx email and I'm trying to figure out a scalable option.

    • @Convology
      @Convology  Před rokem

    • @Convology
      @Convology  Před rokem

      It's for domain based message authentication and conformance (DMARC). Basically another level of authorization. You set a subdomain that SES sends through rather than through SES's servers. You can still send from your own primary domain, but the emails get authenticated through a subdomain.
