Gender-based violence | Man pleads guilty to killing intern doctor Shongile Nkwashu

The man accused of killing intern doctor Shongile Nkwashu at Mankweng Hospital in Limpopo has pleaded guilty to her murder.
Ntiyiso Shelumane is alleged to have killed 24-year-old Nkwashu in her room at the doctor's residential complex in January this year.
The murder trial started in the Polokwane High Court on Monday.
His defence read out a statement in court confirming his guilty plea and giving details of the murder.
The National Prosecuting Authority is arguing a case of premeditated murder.
