Hey Cartoon Universe, do you have a Hazbin Hotel OC? Just curious.
I've seen comments from the creator's that imply levels of authority in Hell. For example, there are Overlords which seem to be powerful sinners (i.e., Alastor, Vox and Valentino). Then there are the more aristocratic demons known as the "Goetial Demons", of which Stolas is a member. The Overlords seem to oversee day to day life within their territories while the Goetial Demons can be inferred to have something to do with Hell's interactions with the living world. This can be inferred by the fact that the overlords seem to theme their territories around themselves and their sins while Stolas utilizes a grimoire to access the living world on the full moon in particular.

Vivzi did said when demons die they respawned after they die but when a demon dies by a angelic blade or any angel wespon they're very soul will be perminantly stuck in hell for my theory if a demon dies to the point of unable to respawn they respawn somewhere in the circles of hell in theory 🤔

Theory: Exterminators don't "accidentally" leave their weapons behind, they do it on purpose cause they know demons will use them to kill eachother thus making their own work easier.

i think they leave them behind specifically because while the angels can only kill the souls of sinners, the sinners can kill the most powerful beings in hell such as demonic royalty and the princes.
those would be the most critical and powerful enemies should the two sides ever go to war or if lucifer attempted to overthrow god. angelic weapons are the only thing that can kill them permanently. at worst it makes their job easier next year, but i think the real goal of leaving them is hoping they're used to kill more powerful demons the exterminaters cant. they have an essentially unending supply of mortal souls, the princes and demonic royalty not so much
this is why they are forbidden in some way and sold only on the black market. lucifer doesn't want to lose the most important parts of his army should he need one for whatever reason. scolus almost getting killed in helluva boss is exactly why they are left in hell and also forbidden to own.
its explicitly stated in helluva boss they are forbidden specifically because they can kill demonic royalty, so this seems like the most plausible reason they are left behind.

You should see all the triads of angels. Archangels like Michael and Gabriel are super scary looking. Cherubs are three faced monsters that you'll find singing God's praises in heaven, while the Seraphim are disembodied eyes and feathered wings connected to a body made of fire that serve God directly from his throne room.

I am thinking that full demon form is likely more powerful than normal form. Also likely is linked to emotions. Like when we get a glimpse of Alastors powers its a sort of hostility. Vaggie is threatening him and he is essentially threatening back and in a way saying "back off". While Alastor seems extremely polite and corgiel which makes sense as hes a radiohost. He does have a sadistic side. He will behave himself unless otherwise provoked but we see from the comic that what ,provokes, him in most cases is sometimes a little hard to figure out. He clearly has things which set him off but he puts on a colorful persona most of the time. I don't think he would ever intentionally harm anyone in the hotel, because his intentions in this circumstances are pretty straight forward. He told Charlie he is bored but at the same considering the people in the hotel are the only ones who don't run from him you can assume that perhaps he wants company.
You’re probably right. He’s also stated that he finds nothing more entertaining than watching someone fail and wants to see sinners hopelessly try to redeem themselves only to get nothing out of it. Which is why I’m especially curious on what he’s going to do when someone does get into heaven.

Well I did try a spell called the summoning of power and failure which made me go completely insane I don’t want to go into detail but when I was alive people didn’t pay any attention to me even tho I am now reformed reborn in hell MUAHAHAHAAHAHA ahem

1:20 This is not directly confirmed to my knowledge but I'm 95% sure people who go to heaven don't become angels as evidenced by the fact that we actually get to see angles in the opening to Hazbin Hotel and they seem to have a uniform look. Due to this, I believe that it would be more appropriate to draw the conclusion that both heaven and hell in the Hazbin Hotel universe use the same process to manifest the souls of the deceased
They are all the same type of Angel but each of them is slightly different looking. Different horn shapes, halo shapes, wing sizes, and they have different designs in the eyes from what I can remember of the opening. Vivziepop has stated she wants every character, side or main cast, to all have unique designs. So it might be just like hells way of manifestation.

In a stream the crew showed us a conversation between Stolas and Blitzo where they mention the "wrath circle" and Blitzo says that his employes come from there; we don't know what it is and if it resembles Dante's description of that place.
it may, because Katie Killjoy even says to Charlie after her number, "What in the nine circles make you think.." I think the nine circle are a thing in this version of Hell.
I bet based on the way hell is set up that I bet they are like districts or Burroughs, like “I’m from the wrath side of town” or something like that
They reference Dante’s Inferno by mentioning the 9 circles. Wrath is a part of one circle but it generally encompasses all forms of sin revolving around anger and (at least in Dante’s Inferno) is a pretty swampy and terrible place Where demons and sinners are fighting pretty much all the time. If Blitz wanted to hire killers grabbing them from that circle is probably the best bet. The place sucks more than most other places in Hell.
Hmm maybe hell is like a state instead of a city, and the cities are the 9 circles and imp city and any others. And the sin you committed most is the city you good to, and maybe hazbin takes place in limbo or where you go if they can’t find a city for the demon. But you can rome around any cities. But Charlie’s family lives in treachery the 9th circle

When you first go to Hell you find yourself in your own personal Hell based around the sins you committed and you can still leave afterwards. I remember how in Dante’s Inferno Lucifer lives in the Circle of Betrayal (I might have the name wrong) a home of back stabbers, usurpers, and manipulators, and basically all sorts of traitors. It’s very cold and icy and Lucifer in the book was found living next to a frozen Lake. It’d be interesting if when he see Charlie’s childhood home and Lucifer’s primary residence if she has some fancy home or estate in the Coldest place in hell and it’s just always snowing.
Lucifer isn’t a demon in this show nor is he the “OG Satan,” just putting that out there.

my speculation and theory is that people don't go to hell, their souls do. so when you kill a demon, youre killing their soul, basically ending their "life" forever. and there is no afterlife once your soul has been killed

And/or, her spear is actually an angel's weapon, which is the reason she can be effective as a body guard, since it would keel. Plus it would match with the depiction of angels in the opening song where they are shown with "medieval-like" weapons : swords and... spears.

There are also animals in Hell that have some bizarre features, but otherwise seem like regular animals. Examples include Angel Dust's pig, the ravens from Alastor's comic and the puppy Charlie is seen holding at 7:45 (although that may be an infant Hellhound)

Alastor at least during his time in Hell became a Cannibal. He also practiced voodoo which might have added to his power.
Aside from that we get a small glimpse of Lucifer’s more demonic form looks like during the opening song with a large horned goat looking creature behind his silhouette. Also Hell is structured similar to Dante’s inferno with different circles of hell dedicated to specific types of sin. A majority of IMP’s employees are from the Circle of Hate

This universe's version of Hell reminds me of the Neitherworld in the animated Beetlejuice series.
The idea of Hell here seems somewhat akin to the idea Michael came up with in The Good Place, wherein the denizens would effectively ‘torture’ each other by just doing whatever the hell they want and keep ruining each other’s ‘afterlives’ rather than just strapping every sinner into a burning, piranha-filled iron maiden or something standard like that.

What I would like to now is how the show defines a sinner. For example a serial killer obliviously is bad but what about a soldier who kills out of duty or self defense ? Or is it about how the person is inside like someone who does good things openly but internally they are a crooked mess they still go to hell. Or is if you did something bad and that’s it no matter your intentions the end result was bad.
I think people have been arguing this point for as long as the concept of morality.
you know I wonder if how much a person enjoyed the sin could also make them more powerful. like the more they reviled in it the more power, they would receive vs someone who sinned and regretted it or didn't exactly mean it to happen.
also i thought that when a demon dies they would just reincarnate again but as a different demon and just suffer through hell again. but now i think they might just get reborn as hell hounds and imps.

My thoughts exactly. I believe that hell has a problem with too much sinners, not hellborn demons. Didn't Vivzie also mention, that sinners are trapped on the Pride circle of hell and cannot move around the other circles freely like hellborns do? That would explain why hell has a problem with overpopulation, if all sinners are crowded on one circle.
One thing iv desperately pondered is how one arrives in hell. Do they way up in random spors in demon form. Do they fall.out of the pentagram. Do they crawl out of some ocean. So many possibilities.
They probably just drop in a random spot unceremoniously on a random spot with their demon form.

A friend of mine actually theorized that he was actually a deer hunter when he was alive, and he did it outside of hosting for radio. He did kill people who trespassed his territory, and probably ate them after murder.

It is said in the pilot by Vaggie that Alastors' power is raw, therefore not modified in anyway, rivaling that of even the most ancient of demon lords. Also the connections between the cities are based on which powerful demon/s are currently in control of said location. Currently to date Pentagram city is the current hot spot since it's the capital of Hell, so Imp City is probably owned by Solas (Speculation).
Hell has "hotspots" sort of like power points after a clense demons attempt to take over hotspots that are now unclaimed because the demon that controlled them has been killed. I assume claiming enough of these power points increases the demons powers and eventually will raise them to the level of a overlord. Overlords seem to be able to perma kill or Maim lesser demons.
Not necessarily, Overlords are just Hell's millionaires they have so many souls they tend to be physically strong. But the real classification is potential net worth.
Hazbins hell seems to take a page from the "hell is other people" book.
You've CLEARLY neglected to read the tie-in comics explaining Angel Dust and Alastair's pasts. Yes, demons can still be eaten in the underworld according to the ending of the comic about Alastair's past time in the underworld as he eats the butcher who tries to kill a fall cherub
I am very curious to see how powerful Charlie is. Shes the daughter of Lucifer yet appears one of the most.. normal, of everyone in the show. It'd be interesting to see if shes actually really dangerous but just hasn't ever used that power
i read something about angels (not the hh/hb ones) being very tall, radiating light with many eyes covering the surface of their body, with many pairs of wings on their backs, and overall terrifying. Imagine the exterminators lookin like that

personally I think transforming into full demon form makes the demons far stronger, especially when angry, which is why when in physical fights they transform
when katie killjoy gets angry at Charlie, she goes to her full demon form before the fight, giving her extra limbs and presumably much more physical strength
kind of like how humans can get physically stronger when we get an adrenaline rush
I wonder if the demons who died by Angel weapons are reincarnated back into the mortal world, thus creating a way to give redemption to dammed souls.

I'm torn because while I love the aesthetics and charecters in the show every explanation just raises a dozen more questions and problems with the plot. Why would the princess have a positive view of heaven when her interactions with it are flying mass muderers killing her people. What counts as sin and are they all as bad as the radio demon, a serial killer (also servicable backstory but not as creative as they should have gone).The Good Place tackled this in a more coherent way while Hazbin Hotel runs more on Rule of Cool than anything. Also not a huge fan of Angel being a mobster, Its not how i would have taken that charecter, there are more interesting places to take him.

And well (gestures to his appearance.) though thanks to the cannon comic ‘a day in the afterlife’ Al adding lesser demons whose forms are that of edible animals, while also having a certain method of choosing victims, isnt entirely unbelievable. For him or any demon given how many of them seem to turn into edible animals and lets face it, most food has to come from somewhere and they have a purge system. Though i still question that lamb girl.

It's really upsetting that demons/sinners just get "erased" from existence, just the idea of that is just brutal to my mind on how such a thing can even happen. I also gotta ask, what does it mean to have the demon itself and their "Memories" gone(i'm asking mainly of the memories)? like do people just suddenly forget they ever exist? or is it the demon/sinner themselves that lose the memory(despite being dead..), and I gotta ask how can it work? Like if someone did something EXTREAMLY horrible to you, then that person perma dies, do you remember the event but forget who did it to you?
I just really hope there is some kind of second place the demons/sinners go, I just hate the idea of having ones spiritual consciousness just get erased for all eternity...

@@BlackTemplar40k At that point he was clarifying because, sometime their essence gets absorbed in objects which is why some thing have eyes, but they're still dead with no memories and without the demon himself.

It just occurred to me, what if Cherry's brother is an angle? In the 'addict' music video we see him with the cross in his eye, plus he's dressed in white. (Could mean that he is dead or she cut the connection with him) But there is a chance it's because he is an angle. We see the angels in this video where that one in the middle has a cross on it's eye. Please tell me any flaws I have made, or if any of you guys has made them same connection
