- In the most recent episode of Helluva Boss, we learned about the theme park, LooLoo Land, and how it is owned by a demon named Mammon, the name of one of the 7 princes of hell in real life Christian writings. With other prominent characters such as Lucifer himself appearing on that list, we thought it would be a good idea to talk about all 7 princes, the 7 rings they rule over, the 7 deadly sins they each embody, and how they might play into the show.

Which prince are you most excited to learn more about? I want to learn about Leviathan.

A thought, but with Charlie being the daughter of Satan, perhaps her sending a demon to heaven would be an inverse of her father's fall. So in a sense, the reason he let her have the hotel in the first place was to regain his own Pride of being an angel. Also, Angel dust being the first, it leans into that I feel.

Lucifer is a fallen angel in Vivziepop's story. She's confirmed he has angel powers that allow him to hold sway over other demons.

Stolas is not an overlord, he is a Goetia demon. Overlords are just very powerful sinners, and act as mob bosses for the Pride ring of Hell, since they look more like sinners than natural born demons or fallen angels.

Stolas' title in the show is "prince" goetial demon which is why people try to associate him as one of the 7 deadly princes but he is separate. Most likely he is part of the ruling class or royal family of goetial demons, hence why he has the title prince.

He'll either be jabba the hutt of slenderman. Jabba the hutt should be obvious, slenderman is because someone who eats and eats and eats could easily be someone who is voraciously hungry at all times, which is a symptom of having a tapeworm, with another symptom being that despite eating large quantities of food you fail to put on or even loose weight. Thus, gluttony is just skin and bones.

(It could also support the slenderman appeance theory, but I kinda hate theorising about shows so I won't go into it)
Vivzie confirmed Stolas is not an overlord. He is of a different hierarchy called Goetia Demons. He's not very powerful, but he is rich.

Overlords are pretty much just petty rulers of different regions in a ring.
Stolas is not an overlord he's part of a different hierarchy.
@Dirk SORENSON Ars Goetia. They are demon royalty and you can learn more by looking up the Lesser Key of Solomon since that's what Vivzie based him off of. I think only sinner demons have the overlord title but that's just my theory.

@Dirk SORENSON Stolas is a Goetia demon. One that was documented in "Lesser Key of Solomon," which is a spellbook of Demonology. Stolas in the show has a Grimoire, which is often what the book was called, as well.
Stolas, along with a bunch of other dukes, princes, Marquises and Kings, are high-ranking demons that have a lot of documented things behind them: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_demons_in_the_Ars_Goetia Stolas, for example, is #5 under Princes, and it explains _he is "a Great Prince of Hell, commands twenty-six legions of demons. He teaches astronomy and is knowledgeable about herbs, plants, and precious stones. He is often depicted as a raven or a crowned owl with long legs."_
So... yeah. There's a LOT OF real demonology being used here.
Adding to the point that hell is one big circus...
When Vaggie explains Angel who Alastor is, there's a scene in which Alastor's lower body is in fact a circus tent, which could represent exactly this hypothesis.

That one actually might be a Vodou reference to a lesser-known Loa named Marinette. She’s the kind of crazy she-demon who would probably drink a gallon of gasoline and then throw a match in there to set her insides on fire for fun, and tent bonfire parties are among her favorite things. A symbol that vaguely resembles her vevè is even seen during Alastor’s Radio Demon flex.
Man, there is *so much* mythology going into this Hell-verse. (That said, with Alastor, it’s usually safe to assume it’s a Vodou thing.)

Satan is featured a lot in Vivie’s comic, Zoophobia. It was written before and takes place in the same universe as Hazbin Hotel. He is a separate character

I’ve heard that the 9 circles of hell is when a grim reaper of some sort goes up to earth sent by any of the 7 princes(Satan, Lucifer, Mammon etc) and they kill a person based on their sinning energy(or how bad they have sinned/how many sins they have committed) and once they have been killed and sent to hell the demon prince that sent them puts them to punishment in one of the 9 circles depending on that sins(s). (1st being the least and 9th being the worst)
And you can look up the 9 circle of hell punishments but either way it stills ties into the seven deadly sins and whatnot but considering Helluva boss and hazbin hotels story lines and how they’re based the “9 circles of hell” just seems to be the same as the 7 rings minus the extra stuff like punishment grim reaper blah blah blah

In the HH pilot, Katie Killjoy speaks of the 'nine circles' so either the nine circles is merely another name or early installment weirdness and they settled on a different name for the show proper for one reason or another
It's possible that there are nine circles AND seven rings. Different names for different ways of dividing Hell.
The powerful demonic princes of pride and greed getting into court fights over copyright is literally the best thing ever and with the two most suited for such a squabble princes too.

I was watching Alex Brightman (fizz's Voice actor) doing his autograph signing and he slipped that little nugget of info into his convo.
The show mentioned stolas as part of the Goetia family. In Magicka (Wicca, Thelema, etc.) There is a thing called the Ars Goetia that is basically a list (or as I like to call it, a phone book) of different deamons. Stolas is one of them. He is defined as "A Great Prince of Hell, commands twenty-six legions of demons. He is known to teach astronomy and is knowledgeable about herbs, plants, and precious stones. He is often depicted as a raven or a crowned owl with long legs." Which I found interesting considering that Visipop's Stolas is an owl with long legs and sings using the planets in the visuals, and keeps with many plants around him. Satan and lucifer are also both separate deamons as well in the Ars Goetia.

"When the seven rings collide" *Helluva Boss S1 E2* appears to indicate some kind of war among the principle Overlords of Hell, and also seems to predict that Stolas is going to die (even though Octavia will be okay). I wonder if the Imps are going to take care of her once her father passes away?
I mean, it would be some pretty hamfisted foreshadowing if that does happen. But most people are equating it to the concept of rapture and judgment day, which is when all the virtuous on earth go the heaven, and everyone else gets stuck on earth whilst the entirety of hell and the entirety of heaven have an absolutely gigantic fight. The result of said fight is unknown as far as I'm aware, although it's presumable that heaven will win. Alternatively it results in a stalemate where both sides end up completely wiped out and the remains of non affiliated Life rebuild from the ashes.

Because 7 deadly sins are connected to religion. Of these 7 main ones, all of them have a demon represented. Several states in the Middle Ages were connected to the church so several crimes were for accusations of heresy or for a sin committed. According to beliefs, committing the seven sins means a betrayal against the teachings of God and the individual loses his place in heaven and will be condemned to hell if he does not repent and ask for forgiveness.
And the Otome Games
Because the idea behind it in christian myth is that these demons are sort of the paragons or patrons of these sins. They embody these sins. There's a whole laundry list of various demon princes outside of the princes of the 7 deadly sins, as well as dukes of hell. Stolas is one of the princes of hell in original lore, and is described as a long legged owl bearing a crown. His realm of influence is astrology. Hence the heavy inspiration in helluva boss with his super long legs, crown, owl like appearance, and heavy interest in astrology.

The reason I think this is because in Zoophobia, we know that hell does exist and which character from Zoophobia so happens to be from hell? Freaking Damien! And who so happens to be Damien's father? You mentioned Ozimodius as being the prince of lust. Look into the new Helluva Boss trailer and that confirms the theory. One of the voiceovers says "elevator 666, departing for lust". And later on in the trailer, we see a big sign saying "Ozzie's".

In Episode 5. Stolas does invites Blitz & IMP to join him at the Wrath Festival in the WRATH Ring - confirmed on a storyboard shared during a BLM Stream back in June.
and WRATH's ring is under the influence of Satan while Greed was under Mammon's and likely Lucifer oversees all rings at once and have someone who oversees PRIDE's ring for him).

I think the prince I'm most curious about is the prince of Lust. Relation to Valentino maybe? It's unlikely, but something to think about.
If you’re interested in his inspiration, look up the texts associated with Solomon and demons or the book in the Bible most people know him from. The book of Tobit, you can even learn about a potential angel in the series named Raphael .

Lucifer is not a dead sinner, as sinners cant have children after death in this universe.
Its already mentioned Lucifer was a fallen angel from heaven so while not a native to hell, he's also not mortal.
Fun fact, Beezelbub was a name that was derived from Ba'al one of the Kings of hell and chief demon of the Ars Goetia. Likewise Asmodeus is all a King of hell and part of the Ars Goetia. Stolas is in the same grouping though his rank is counted as Prince which is two rungs down from the Kings. Lucifer is the king of Hell. But do you already know something about the other kings of hell or is it possible that they appear? But is there information about the other kings of hell and if you don't believe they can appear or be mentioned?
For those who don't know who the four kings of hell are:
Satan, the king of the north and fire,
Lucifer, the king of the east and air,
Leviathan, the king of the west and water,
and Belial, the king of the south and earth.
Edit: Isn't Leviathan the female counterpart of the Behemoth. I mean:
Leviathan represents water and Behemoth represents earth. I think I read that Behemoth is male and because Leviathan is the counterpart of Behemoth it is female. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Edit2: I forgot that we already know something about Satan.

@@lordseelenfresserdemonking1168 I think all princes are overlords, and they are only natural born demons out of overlords, expect Lucifer. Basicly they are overlords, tho hold greater power over other overlords. Example Lucifer, Mammon and Leviathan/Fredrick hold much greater power over hell then example Vox or Valentino. I think Lucifer is Main ruler tho other princes rule hell to. So Lucifer is basicly Leader of princes and holds greatest power over hell
