The scene where the disorders turned into monsters was straight-up terrifying. I really like the use of this song showing the 3 main people singing being the antagonists, I've never seen it used like that before. I always thought it would work well in that setting but this was amazing.
I don’t even have the words for how beautiful this is. The expressions, and even just the representations of these disorders are expressive and convey the message perfectly. You should be really proud of this :)

Holy cow this is AMAZING. I've always loved this song, and I've seen cool interpretations of it before, but I love that you made the characters that sing like they've been betrayed the villains instead of the victims. I also love these characters and just . . . wow. Everything about this is brilliant. Thank you.

Okay, so I've watched this several times and I think that I've finally managed to scrape my two braincells into some semblance of a comment. Wow. I genuinely don't think I'll be able to come up with a string of letters that brains can interpret as meaningful, but here goes nothing. This is absolutely amazing. The emotions and the timing is just stunning, and your characters just as a standalone story hits very hard. It's kinda weird, but I think that videos like these, during a not-so-great time in my, and quite possibly most people's lives is (at least for me) whats holding me together and preventing me from dissolving into a unmotivated blob of human cells. So yeah, thank you for that.
PS: Possibly unpopular opinion, but as great as Dear Evan Hansen is, the soundtrack alone makes no sense. *looks at Sincerely Me which is followed immediately by Requiem*
Yeah, the soundtrack doesn't make much sense. I saw DEH on tour and unlike a lot of Broadway shows, DEH is really dialogue heavy. Between Sincerely, Me and Requiem, there is a lot of dialogue. Won't say anything further in case you plan on watching the show, but just to clear up any confusion!
@@sandyxandy I actually have watched DEH!! It came to my area and it's the first (and only) show I've ever watched live. I was actually really surprised at how effective it was, even with so much dialogue. I guess my introduction to musicals was things like Hamilton and Hadestown, where (I don't think) its as focused on the talking, so a lot is told through the songs. It was a really pleasant surprise, and I went home thinking "EVERYTHING MAKES SENSE NOW"
@@honeydewmelan445 Hamilton was my introduction as well so I was so confused when it went from such happy songs to "I never meant to make it such a mess.." I purchased the novel and the behind the scenes book so when I finally saw the show, I had a good grip on what the story was about. But holy moly was it really good (it was the first official Broadway show I watched. I've seen some community theatre of The Sound of Music so watching DEH was so exciting!)

this is gorgeous. the effects the expressions, all of it - it’s so cool how you can take a song that has nothing to do with your characters and transform it into something that relates to their stories. also the amount of work you do in such a short time is amazing i hope i can be this productive someday

I've always loved this play and this song, the mc isn't a good person, and while he does get a ending it isn't a happy one, while there is character development its always clear that the mc is in the wrong and that's what i like about it, but in this case it seems to be people leaving their problems behind

Great song choice! I get confused on the characters sometimes but you always find the best songs that aren't super super emotional. But they still convey a point! Good job overall :D!

This speaks to me on an entirely other level. When my depression first manifested in me, it was in the form of an imaginary friend, called Sam. She would be with me all the time, telling how awful I was and trapping in a dark room in my mind. (Probably doesn't help that I have an insanely active imagination, my therapist was weirdly excited about it xD)
