This just blew me away !
Everyone says good by Substance Painter because of 3DCoat, but no one shows any tutorials on showing how to use 3DCoat (or 3DCoat Textura) like Substance Painter.
i belive in everything about 3d, i touched this software 6 years ago and barely i use, ebcuz is more easy find everything about zbrush, substance, blender and maya,.. and the thing is that 3dcoat, have all those things of the other softwares, i hope people make more tutorials about this one
I've been using 3D Coat (in very limited ways) since about 2018 and 1 of the major reasons I don't use it to it's full potential (it can do so much) is a very distinct lack of quality tutorials. I hate timelapses labeled as tutorials, which happens a lot, as well as tutorials that only explain half of the functions you're meant to be learning as if you have prior knowledge or use of the tool. I would love to really dive deeper into 3D Coat and use it more than a fancy Retopo Tool and UV Mapper. Cheers! Stay Healthy and Stay Sane!
A bunch of vids coming up :-)
Same. It has the strangest UI that makes the Zbrush look "intuitive"
@@MHTutorials3D please thank god, subscribing right now! PLEASE on the poly modeling & voxel painting tools (especially emissives and cool pattern potential usecases
I’ve been subscribed to your channel for years now. And as a ukrainian, it was so nice and heartwarming to hear about your help to refugees and volunteering ❤ Thanks a lot for great content and your support!!
You are very welcome.
I originally used 3D Coat for its amazing UV unwrapper. I am so glad they keep at it and improving the product.
I got 3D Coat after over a year of procrastinating, wish I hadn't waited so long now, it's amazing what that piece of software can do. The best tip I can give for learning it or any software for that matter, is DO NOT go into it with preconceived notions of it working like other programs you've used in the past, like ZBrush it is very much it's own thing. All these 3D programs and apps should be viewed as it's own thing and gone into with an open mind, ready for a fresh perspective in my opinion.
thank you very much!!!!!❤💛💙it gives hope that we are not forgotten and everything will be fine! I am very very grateful for that!
Marina, your flag is displayed all over the place here in our country and many, many cities have setup living quarters for refugees from the Ukraine. Cruiseships, Bungalow parks etc etc.
This has me really excited. I bought 3D Coat last year as a Zbrush alternative and to support a Ukrainian company. I haven't been able to use it to its full potential due to the lack of resources online, so I'm looking forward to learning more!
Several tutorials on the way :-)
@@MHTutorials3Dthanks. please do a continuous series on a specific project based tutorial, if that is not too much to ask for.
Heroyam slava!
Thanks a lot for the video and for your support
Stay strong !
3d coat's painting was already great back in V4 in 2018 not too far behind the current 2023 version.
Could you do tutorials on how to use arnold in 3ds max? How to create procedural materials? So hard to find 😢. Thank you in advance if you can.
I don't ( well hardly ever ) use 3DSMax, sorry
Cool!
Great!
3d coat is cool. It's the best for handpainting stylized textures.UV and retopo tools are top notch. My main grip with this program is that a lot of the tools are unstable and unpredictable (when working with voxels in particular) .
cool news!! we all be waiting for new 3d coat tutorials!!!
Oh, they're coming !
@@MHTutorials3D lies! 3 months later and nothing :(
Amazing ÔÔ !
And we are still awaiting for your 3d coat tutorials
Nothing has come out yet
Despite the announcement there was minimal interest to do so
I wanted to get into §dCoat but the tutorials I found were .. well lets just say not good. and the navigation (im coming from Maya) wasnt good either or I just couldnt get used to it.
I heard only good stuff from 3dCoat but cant wrap my head around the software.
Maybe after I do a few tuts you'll give it another go
I think "Goodby Substance Painter" is a bit of a stretch but looking forward to trying out their new smart retopo tools!
The texturing options ( PBR and other ) are absolutely amazing and can cover anything that SP does and more. I have no hate for SP. I used it for many years. But the amount Adobe charges for it is rediculous.
@@MHTutorials3D What do you think of Epic's Mixer (Quixel) as an alternative?
@@EbolaStew Quixel is fine too but I have a personal preference for 3DCoat as I also use it for UV Mapping
artists should stay on art and not mix with politics
Feeling for people who are targeted with violence is human, not politics
Thank you for supporting Ukraine
Good Bless you
Would you suggest using 3D coat over Maya too or just Substance Painter?
Over SP, not over Maya :-)
@@MHTutorials3D Maya 2024 is a crash fest, auto retopo crash, draw a few point with quad tool crash. Na rather use Blender. Apparently Maya/Max dont play well with Wacom pen and 3d mouse as I use, would rather keep my pen and mouse than use a normal mouse and KB to navigate in 2023.
@@sqwert654 Maya 2024 is not a crash fest. Its very stable! I recommend you to format your pc before installing the new version. Maybe you mixed some files from the old installation with the newer. It’s always recommended start from a fresh installation.
Blender is not the solution for obvious multiple reasons.
@@smashedlegends I removed all Autodesk data and folders, it might have made a difference. But not keeping Maya anyway, I can rig and animate faster in Blender. Don't need the the more complex animation tools Maya has atm.
To expensive make it half the price!
Let's talk about 3D program. Slava Ukraini )) Most amazing intro from all tutorials on CZcams. Just a shaning example of that people in Europe get info from TV only. They were said that who is bad and good and they follow it not knowing even where the fraze came from.
My experiences are first hand, not from TV
I think it's time for 3D Coat developers hire some UI/UX designers, what a shitty interface.
3dcoat is 7 times more expensive than substance painter.
потому что это украинская программа, а там принято воровать
Substance painter is 200e or < 20-50e / month. No upgrade path. 3DCoat Textura is 119e or 10e / month and has upgrade path. To me its like half the price of substance painter. I have full 3DCoat and that is more expensive sure, but texturing is only small part of full 3dCoat. 3DCoat Textura is texturing part of full 3dCoat.
It lost me with the modeling and sculpting part. Another program that wants to do everything. Another blender. This could be good if was texturing/painting focused. Instead we have another generalist. It does not serve a professional pipeline.
I mainly focus on the UV and texturing part. Maya for Modeling and ZBrush for Sculpting
I support Russia and I am glad they won. So deal with that since you want to bring politics into your video.
I just don't support war and human suffering I don't give a crap about politics
@@MHTutorials3D War is the extension of political power. To mention it on a video like this is inappropriate but it is your channel.
