Bought one from a neighbor used (but in excellent condition) for $90 in 2022. I use it with my Tonal and BowFlex dumbbells. I’m 5’ so this works for me, but I am holding on to my Tonal bench for now also.

Hi Kevin. Great Review. Can I use this to lift straight bars in the cable pulley ? Like for doing Deadlifts and straight bar rows. I need stand higher to do it with a cable row. Please advice?

Kev, thanks so much for this!!!!! I would have never figured out how to get the legs down, even tho it was simple. Also funny that yours didn’t have directions. Mine did come with a slip of directions under the back rest!
Happy to help, Shawna! It’s definitely a little tricky to snap those legs down. Haha yeah they probably expected customers at the time to learn on the go, but I guess they learned better! I’ll be posting more exercises using the bench (some are available now as CZcams Shorts - cardio, upper body strength) so be sure to check those out!

I'm 6'1" if you're 5'11" or below you can make it work for sure. With half my but off the deck my head is supported. Good enough for me anyway.

You’re welcome! It’s quite sturdy but since it is more narrow than a traditional box used for jumps, I always make sure to land on the center as opposed to the edge since depending on your weight it could shift.
I just received this today from Amazon (142.99 + tax) and absolutely love it. I've done my weight lift with my barbell and hand weight already. Got on CZcams to find some step aerobic videos and came across your review.
Having a bench and stepper all in one is great. I'm 5'9" and it's perfect with head support...most of height is from my feet to hips so that may be why. When sitting in an upright position on the bench at full height of 14", I was worried that my knees would be high, although it's perfect for me.

Great review! Very informative! My mother is allergic to plastic smells and other things. Did this have a lot of plastic smell when it came? And does it smell to this day or stopped smelling? I hope you know what I mean by that plastic smell.

I don’t recall an overwhelming plastic smell when I opened it, but my sense of smell may not be as great as yours or your mother’s, so I don’t want to say it’s completely void of plastic smell (I hope not to trigger an allergic reaction!). I will say that I gave it a good whiff right now, and could not detect anything, and it’s been about 2 weeks of use. If you were set on ordering one, perhaps you can have it sent to you and you can inspect first before giving it to your mom?

Hi, does it have sharp edges on the bottom? I would like to wrap a power band and Im wondering will it cut (over time) the power band or is it safe? thx!
Hey Adrian! The hole at the bottom sort of curves inward so it's not a very sharp edge for the band. I imagine it'd be safe!
How do you close the bench completely from the incline position?
There’s a kickstand that can slide to a flat position!

If you're benching, you can lift you head up you know, by tucking the chin closer to the chest. Many top level benchers do it this way.

Struggling to find the differences between this and the adidas hiit deck. this reebok deck is slightly cheaper at the moment.

Hey Daniel! It’s able to support a max of 330 lbs! I’d say though that depending on your height, there may be issues with the head/bottom not being completely supported since it’s not as long as traditional benches, which I would say are important to consider when lifting very heavy.

Oof $300?! I bought mine slightly used on eBay for $75 including shipping pre-pandemic. Definitely get/make a cushion for flatback exercises!
Right! Quite costly. The upside is I really do enjoy using it for cardio during my workouts, so it’s at least being used often 😜. Great recommendation. Hip thrusts are not a lot of fun with its rigid edge.

I was lucky in UK I bought mine for 119 pounds and the escape fitness deck is 199 pounds plus 21 delivery. So the escape is more expensive here at amazon.co.uk.
But if we go to the escape fitness website they are a lote more cheaper around 140 pounds.
