Liam Li, Corsair and Cooler Master can eat my shorts, I've been researching for my next case. Be Quiet was already near the top of my list but after watching this I am definitely buying it. I came here from the link on your website. Not because I want to invert the case, but I want to strip it down and mod it it with my own paint job
This vidio has given me the confidence to do so - Thanks BQ
Deutsches Egineering ist das Beste 😎
Who is this Liam Li which you speak of???
@@Jatz.Krackers He meant the Lian Li cases, example model Lancool 215
hey corsair please look at this video and see how they computer case is made. Perfect case thank you for video.
For anyone following this guide: beware of the rubber parts under screws!! (e.g. 0:40) they are prone to fall and get lost and there seems to be no spare ones contrary to screws them selves. Moreover when you try to fit the motherboard holder back, they get twisted/bent and if any of those nine is, the screws wont fit or cannot be fastened.
It's impressive how modular this case is
Be great if you could order it already inverted or not.
Thanks for allowing me to invert my first PC Build. 👍🏾 I was so nervous just inverting the case, but this video helped SO MUCH.
I'm Commander Shepard, and this is my favourite PC case that i ever had.
Love it! Best quote! Social Media team is happy today 🥳
One recommendation, when you're disconnecting fan wires/pwm/fp connections... really any connection if possible... Do not pull by the wires.
If you do, you risk breaking/pulling a lead out and then you have bigger issues to deal with.
This is the choice for my first PC built ever. Great video.
If you also got confused by all the hand waving and finger counting at 5:00, you can skip this entirely, just leave everything connected as it is, the goal here is simply to put the cables in the opposite shaft. So just pull the cables out of the current one, one by one, smallest first and then these with the bigger connectors. Put them one after the other on the other shaft, starting with the cable with the biggest connector.
That's cool, a leftie righty case oh,,, and front/back swap too. Wow
An amazing case! Have had the silent base 801 in Orange for years and love it...... just wished be quiet would release the 802 airflow front panel separately so I can keep my orange 801 and make it airflow focused
You can contact there support and they will sell it to you seperately, it's compatable.
As another comment allready mentioned, the motherboard will be installed upside down when you do this! For me this was the reason I did not invert, although I initially wanted to
Hi,
Is it possible to have a video on the integration of a AiO 420 mm in front of the case please? thks for your answers.
This will definitely be the case for my upcoming PC build, and I would love to have the PC on my left hand side .. but inverting would also mean flipping the motherboard upside down, thus the CPU is now down and below.
Q. Can for example the air cooler Dark Rock TF2 still be fitted without interference issues ? Noting the distance between the cooler and the PSU/HDD housing
Thank you, a pretty good guide.
Nice case but get a flat surface next time
Now thats how we build a chassis:
said Ze German Engineering Team! ;0)
I'd like to have a cut on the panel facing the bottom 3.5" devices cage, to fit some SDCard reader into the tower. Is it doable with some high grade laser cutting bench ? If so, could you provide the exact quotes where to cut on the panel ?
Thanks you !!! excellent video super quality !!!
Good morning, I am owner of the silent base 802 case. Why can't you add extra space for fans on the psu cover. I hope that it reduces temperatures on the videocard. I suppose it Will be the best case in the market.
I have this case on the right side of my desk right now, I want to put my case on the left side of my desk and still being able to see my rgb setup
Is it possible to mirror the mother board, or rather said, flip it on it's vertical axis rather than on its horizontal axis?
Basically just having the mother board be be moved 180 degrees so that it's not "flipped on it's head"?
Hello, unfortunately this is not possible.
Can you please make a smaller case that's high airflow and with inverted layout? Thank you in advance!
Thath is currently not planned, but still duly noted.
Check in win
I would buy pure base 500dx inverted in a second. OR I would buy this one if it had the ARGB strips down the front like the 500dx. love that look
Love this video exists
How long does AIO tubing need to be to mount at top of case with inverted layout?
LG
Hi! I don't see bottom legs, are the not Included? you must buy It separately? thanks
We have published a video about it: czcams.com/video/Jd9epBf9ibA/video.html&ab_channel=bequiet%21
Man I want a good inverted case but this seems like a little too much case for my micro atx build I have on the way. I wish there were more options for cases like this
This is a very large case.
is there any difference in dB values between the solid panel version and the tempered glass one?
For sure, cause the solid panel version has insulation material on it, but the difference should be marginal.
yeah, they made a video about it: czcams.com/video/GSycF18K154/video.html 😁
Gamers Nexus has a video on it. The solid front panel is a very bad idea causing the fans to have to run faster = more noise and poorer thermals.
Just bought this case and I prefer using the solid front panel, because it is even more silent when the system is idle. When I need more airflow, e.g. while gaming, I simply remove the front panel and put it aside.
Had a Silent Base 800 for years before and this case has a flap at the front for exactly this purpose
Question: Will there fit the 65mm thick system on the top?
We only recommend standard size radiators. Other setups depends on the motherboard.
Hi, everything's fine, but where is the usb cable gland and why is the hub cable too short?
thanks youtube! finally i found how to unlock side panel 😂
Love the case ! Are there any official / partner store for Philippines?
Unfortunately not for the time being.
I mean I love the case in fact I plan to buy it, but the case wobbling while he's working on it was driving me insane
When you install the included case feet the wobbling stops.
It doesn't wobble when built, it's solid
Do we have to put the feet on the bottom of the case? By doing so, the case won't fit on my shelf. Would it be possible to mount simple rubber feet to bottom of case to elevate without expanding the width of the case?
Of course it will work without the feet. They add stability and take away some of the vibrations.
hello is it possible to keep the glass on the left of the box? to simply put the graphics card without having to reverse the whole box?
I don't understand what you want to do with the graphics card, but you can put the glass panel on the other side no problem.
Out of interest why does it say 280mm radiators in the top aren't supported? Mine does line up with screw holes etc?
Watch all of the video before removing a single screw!
I received my case yesterday and was planning on inverting it. After watching this video I can see that it can be inverted, but it was not well designed for that to happen. Why would anyone want an upside down motherboard?
How would a inverted mainboardtray be possible otherwise? This is the only way in every case.
@@bequietofficial via a relocatable CPU mount, or tray insert, or an alternate reversed tray insert. This case does ship with 2 front panels and 2 top panels, so a reversed tray, that affixes to the existing frame does not seem out of the question, and to me at least would be much more useful than a solid front panel. The 802 is not a new case, I would hope that Be Quiet has some improvements in mind for newer cases. I chose this case because it has usb-c 3.2 and holds more than 2 HDDs, surprisingly still a very rare combo, the inversion would have been nice, but was never a deal breaker for me. The choice to not have a glass side is a very welcome one on your cases!
Will there be an option to get the tempered glass model of the case with orange accents?
No, unfortunately not.
@@bequietofficial Is there a case you can recommend with the Black and Orange color scheme that has the latest USB 3.2 Gen 2 type C ports on the front panel?
I was looking at the Pure Base 500DX and the Dark Base 900 Rev. 2, but their descriptions on Amazon and Newegg show them using USB 3.1 type C Gen 2 ports on their panels. I would go with either the Mid or Full tower depending on if they have those features and a good airflow design.
I noticed that the Be Quiet! site lists the 900 Rev 2 as having a USB 3.2 Gen 2 type C ports while retailer's, Amazon and Newegg, show it as 3.1. I'm guess that they haven't updated. Could you confirm if that's the case and if there's any other case that would fit those qualifications?
USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type C, An airflow design, tempered glass side panel (tinted preferably), and the Be Quiet! Black and Orange color theme.
I'm actually setting a desk up where i'd prefer to have my work laptop on my dominant (right) side and my PC on the left...This looks to be the case.. "She will be mine. Oh, yes... She will be mine."
Hallo. Nein, das ist aktuell leider nicht geplant.
@@bequietofficial Aber Sie haben bereits andere Linien Ihrer Kühler aktualisiert. Warum nicht Pure Rock Slim aktualisieren?
Don't pull on the cable, grab the plug!
I'm wondering if anyone has done any analysis on fan in/out and placement of said fans in the inverted form. It seems to me that the top fans, which I use for exhaust in the standard form, could be switched to be intake right above the motherboard. That would increase airflow to the CPU, but I am slightly concerned that the GPU might not get enough intake air since the rear fan is now, effectively, the closest fan to the GPU. Maybe switching the rear fan to intake, the top two fans above the motherboard to intake and the front fans and the front most fan on the top, all to outgo airflow would be perfect. (I have 2 140mm fans in the front, 3 140mm fans in the top, and the 140mm fan in the rear (all be quiet brand), with an Noctua D15 and no AIO, fyi). Anyone have any thoughts or ideas about airflow in the inverted form? Great video and excellent case, by the way. I debated (with myself) for weeks over the 802 and the Corsair 5000 Airflow. It was the overall "look" of the 802 and the inverting ability that sold me on the 802. I'm very happy with it and plan to invert it when I upgrade my mobo tpo the ASUS ROG Crosshair X570 Extreme when it becomes available for less that $1100...
Heat rises. Air in from front and bottom, out at top and rear.
yeah im a owner of 802
The 420 radiator cannot be fitted on the top.
No, there's only room for a 420mm AiO in the front, as noted in the technical data: www.bequiet.com/en/case/2047
@@bequietofficial Hab mich gewundert was das invertieren bringt. Danke!
Um zwei fette GPUs für Rendering bzw. AI-Zeug einzubauen beispielsweise.
roman adevarat
Can I do the same with be quiet! pure base 500dx??????????????
Unfortunately not.
wobble wobble
That is because the feet aren't installed on it.
First: it sucks I have to google for a YT video because you failed printing the inverting into the manual. Second: I deeply regret buying the case but it's the only way of getting a rightsided window in any way and a WHITE! case at the same time. Why don't you just simply build cases with "inverted" layouts? It's not like there is a law carved in stone that boards always have to be the same way installed and that all cases have to be left sided. Believe it or not, there are people who just have the tower left on their desk and still wanna look into it. I really do not understand why everyone keeps building the same shitty stuff over and over and still, this is not what I actually was looking for. Only 4 3.5" spaces, no possibility for an optical device and because of manually inverting, it's a lot larger than it would need to be.
Really, the world isn't just "left sided black cases watercooling for gamers" there's also audio/video/photo creatives who wanna have a nice case, but want air cooling, lots of storage spaces and NOT BLACK!
well, bought the case, inverted it, and just then realized that the motherbord it upside down in the end. well. there you go. it looks stupid, and the GPU-name just looks hideous. thats why i never built a pc until i was in my 30s. you never know what you dont know. i was, correctly, scared of all the stuff. now building it back and just accepting that i wasted 30€ on the windowed version and hope it is at least as silent as promoted. well, my fault.
Sorry to hear, since motherboards are all oriented in the same layout, inverting the only way for switching sides
expensive and unnecessary
Exactly. I think this case costs as much as it does because it comes with three included Pure Wings 2 fans. There should be a way to buy this case without the included fans, and there should also be a way to buy this already inverted. This seems like a ton of effort to invert the PC. It honestly seems like a nightmare.
It is a rare case these days that can house more than 2 hdds and has usb-c 3.2 front panel
