    Be Quiet! is underrated. I bought one not having experience with the brand--I was floored by the build quality. You mentioned it here in the start of your review.

    I just bought this case for the optical bay and high airflow, was thrilled to find it also had the wireless charger on the top, I am considering this a full upgrade from the Corsair 4000D airflow case.

    You left out one rather unique feature of this case. You can invert the entire case to have the glass on the other side.

      Major reason why I'll be getting this case for my new build a little later this year. I own two othe BQ cases. Top notch construction. Really needed an inverted case due to my office arrangement. This one does it. Overall though, an excellent review.

      I was hoping he'd go over that so I could see radiator options, which is usually a problem for inverse cases.

    I love the bay for the optical drive.. I love to have one in my case, because I love to watch movies on my pc from time to time, I got a huge selection of movies I have bought over the years.. so I would get a lot of use out of it.. Love the case!!

    This is one of the best reviews about this case. First: you cover all the topics I wanted information about. Second, you talk clearly and calmly, which is important for people for whom English is not their native language. I got it all and I'm going to buy it. Thank you.

    Very good review! THanks for sharing. Like the RGB. I have this case and i'm building a new machine soon, for the optional side panel fans 3x120mm which direction would you recommend? intake or exhaust? i'm also using the bottom case PSU fan (140mm) Cheers!

    • @ECPUz
      @ECPUz  Před 9 měsíci

      I'd go with intake on the side fans otherwise they'll be exhausting cool air from the front and bottom before it has a chance to reach the CPU and other components.

    the only thing you need to think about is air flow. Let's say I currently have a processor on the water pump and a 40xx series card on the fans. If I decide to completely isolate the noise from the computer, then I need to be sure that I will not have problems with the temperature. Of course, on the front panel and on the sides there is an air inlet, but it seems to me that this will not be enough for strong systems.

    Is it possible to install 3x 140mm in the front with the 5.25" bay installed? And what about the bottom fan? Planning to put a IO expansion / card reader in there. Thanks in advance^^

    • @dfghrgshhjtee
      @dfghrgshhjtee Před 4 měsíci

      Officially, it can fit 2x140mm on the front while the 5.25" bay is in use. Unofficially, I saw someone say they were able to fit a 120mm fan snugly in between the other items.

  • @DVTHEFOX

    Would ya be able to use 3 140mm FRONT fans and still pop a DVD drive inside that bottom bay?..

    This is my first time watching you, and I think this review is the most thorough description of any case I've seen. Well done.
    I have 2 questions:
    1) On the cable management side, do you know the mm depth? Not a big deal if it's too much trouble to check.
    2) For the place where you can put fans or drive cages, is it possible to mix fans and drive cages? For example, I will used the 5.25 bay for a Bluray player. Additionally, I would like to put up to 4HDDs where that opening is. With the leftover space, I would like to put fans intaking from the side. Would that be possible?
    This case checks nearly every box I'm looking for. It's one of the best I've seen so far.

    • @ECPUz
      @ECPUz  Před 6 měsíci

      Glad you liked the video! I measured about 23mm from the back of the motherboard tray to the edge where the side panel will attach. In order to mount fans in the side, you have to install the included separate fan bracket in place of the drive bracket. So you can't do both at the same time.

    • @bjyoungblood
      @bjyoungblood Před 5 měsíci

      @@ECPUz ,
      Thank you for the reply! I decided to buy it. Because I prefer the fans in the side, I decided to put my Bluray Drive into an external enclosure for the rare times that I will pull it out and use it.
      I have a weird issue where the case PCI slots are too high up and my monitor cables can't plug into my GPU (EVGA 3080Ti FTW3 ULTRA). Going to tinker more tonight.

    Is this one better or the Shadow Base 800 FX, which looks better and allows you to mount a 420 on top?

    • @ECPUz
      @ECPUz  Před 9 měsíci +2

      First of all, I'm glad you liked the video! I'm finishing up my review of the Shadow Base 800 FX right now. Should have it out in the next day or so. For me, I'd probably take the Dark Base for all the extra storage options and features. But at the end of the day, most people don't need that much storage, and I agree the Shadow Base is the better looking of the two. So if you don't need a ton of storage, want to mount a 420mm rad up top, and like the Shadow Base aesthetic, I say go for it!

    You are not able to control ARGB anything more than those led stripes of the case + sync them with all the rest. If you have ARGB fans, you are not able to control it using the touch sensor at the front

  • @MrIngotts
    @MrIngotts Před 8 měsíci

    The detail in your review is excellent. It's a beast of a case which would be perfect for HEDT workstations - lots of onboard storage, plenty space, and some control over acoustics - but it doesn't have the airflow performance advantage that the Fractal Torrent offers; where the Torrent's bottom intake can blow air directly into the GPU(s) and its front intake can feed a beefy CPU air cooler. Those who run SSI CEB or SSI EEB motherboards will be comparing this Pro 901 case with the Fractal Torrent, and I think decisions will be based on how much noise the machine can make in its destined environment.

  • @dreamEnd

    Nice case, but giving you two different front panels are just unnecessary extra cost for an already quite expensive PC case. They shouldve added two different variants to choose from instead of shipping both into a single package and having your customer pay for something they will never use.
