I had a problem build and needed to install and remove the CPU a number of times and observed a perfect spread using the “pea” approach. Sometimes you can overthink something . . .

Liquid Metal would be best not used outside that IHS, delidding would be the best bet to doing that, and maybe if your liquid cooling your gpu, but that still runs the same risk as using the Liquid Metal as you did on the CPU 😂

i made the thermal paste dots like in your video and now that i put the cooler on the entire upside of my cpu is covered in it and even if i try to remove it, there will still be some left between the golden dots. I now read online that your supposed to put around 1 grain of rice not 9 big dots.

Ich wollte nur sagen, dass es mal so langsam Zeit für einen Nachfolger wird, da das Gehäuse ja jetzt schon 5 Jahre alt ist und es ja mittlerweile die Pure Wings 3 gibt. Außerdem würde ich ein Upgrade zum Pure Rock 2 mit aktuellem Lüfter cool finden. LG

So I know it’s be quiet channel and all that. But the thing is: cpu metal part is not flat. That said: why do you need unnecessary thermal paste on its sides? Also, got to mention: do not use this “thermal paste under glass” videos as truth: you can’t simulate the even pressure of a mounted cooler with your hand. Just apply the dot, the X or even and you’d be good to go ma guy!
