    The 964 is the last of the actual round headlights and hand assembled 911s which were manufactured in West Germany. Thanks for pointing out the fact they’re essentially the same size as the original 1960s cars!
    It would be cool to see Singer do a build which keeps the 964 narrow body design with the quality upgrades.

    I really love these videos buddy, a good run through, debate, discussion and your view on all the options out there. Stunning car, beautiful combination of wheel colour and interior 👌🏼 An engine bay shot is always welcome and even hearing the engine note to compliment a great video would be great. Great work 👏🏼😊

    Well described, I also like the original look. The Carrera 4 drives perfectly, in particular when it rains or the streets are wet. I have the pleasure to own one, too 👌

    Your fux wheels are the ultimate on that series. Gorgeous piece of auto art you have there.

    Absolutely right... I'm tired of all those backdated ones... I could be charmed 10 years ago, but now, I only have eyes for stock ones (with a twist of outlaw, few stickers and a badge 3.6 on the decklid and the car gets so cool) they are simply and genuinely beautiful... Even if I'm way more 3.2 lover... For the look and everything... The 964 is not my favorite because of the shields... But, totally stock in the right color... It make the business... I drove both, and I like both behind the wheel.. And the interior is like the same... Same perfect proportion... And I love Fuchs wheels ... It fits better.. It looks more rustic and brutal...

    Very nice, i’m about to get a C4 and agree with your philosophy. I wondered where you sourced the fuchs and what size yours are. The car im buying runs 18 inch bbs so im switching those to either cups or fuchs for more comfort

    GREAT Looking 964. I've had 30 964's and Built 4 400hp 964's. Sorry I prefer C2 in 964 Series unless you jump up to a 993TT. Which I drove in Todd's 1998 993 Twin Turbo in LA before he died. That custom 98 Pulled through those hills. Insane run. LOVE the Third Brake Light! Tail Lights were worth the Purchase! Mirrors always a Good update. I'd love to see RS door Cards on this one. I AGREE don't cut them up!

    C2 = lighter car. Same reason you put in a Lightweight Flywheel. Same reason that an RS is built with rear wheel drive. Now, if this is a daily driver and you are not an aggressive driver, then I agree 100%. I own a 964 Forest Green so I love your color too -- I own a 964RS Ruby Red and I owned a 993 C4 back when. The 4 wheel drive is great for commuting in rain, snow or whatever. But if you want to freewheel and be mental and drive like an 18 year old -- then I respectfully disagree with your synopsis. Other than that, I like your review and your passion for Porsche.

  • @klaushaunstrupchristensen7252

    Wonderful vehicle. I just wish the front and rear bumper was 20 % slimmer and the front light cluster imbedded in the bumper was scaled down in height. I also wish the front bumper would be a perfect extension of the front bonnet. Anyway it’s a delightful car.

    Excellent thoughtful and thorough overview. I’m about to take delivery of an old girl 1990 C2 and trying to take in and determine what I want to do with the car. Looking forward to the journey. I’m intrigued about the repaint that would be at the top of my list in the longer run. Thanks.

    the michelin cup tires would look a lot nicer - the current tire tread pattern looks like its for off roading. perfect stance and whee/tire size.

    Hello, Great 964 , One common mistake people make when putting these cars together that drives me crazy is the wipers are on wrong, I don't mean that the swipe is switched. It is the wipers themselves are wrong. the wiper with the bent arm should be in closer to the center of the car, the wiper that has the straight arm should be at the end of the car closer to the edge.

    Curious. I’m a new owner of a ‘90 964 C4. Noticed you have an updated 3rd brake light. Do you use a 993 rear window?

  • @franciscoturrillodubois7069

    Thank you for posting this video, it is excellent as well as the ideas and job done with your 964. I agree in a 100% with your comments about a C4 vs C2. I also have a 1989 C4 and other 911s can’t perform better in a road full of corners. Beautiful car, congrats!

  • @mortenberg2897
    @mortenberg2897 Před rokem

    I disagree about C2 vs C4. It’s not about lap times with these classics, but about feeling. And in that regard i find the C2 more “alive” - without the tail slapping around….

    I’ll be honest. On a cosmetic basis, this isn’t why I’ve always desired a 964. That top spoiler is a massive no imo

    • @davidsherley2652

      I second the motion about backdates. But I would go a step further. As a 964 C2 owner, I think it’s disrespectful of the character of the car to make it look like a 911 of a different era.
      I’ve done a number of performance mods to my car, I’m all for making the car the best it can be without corrupting it’s DNA. I’ve also made the car feel a bit more responsive and raw by changing to an RS manual steering rack - getting a bit more of that earlier Porsche feel, but without altering the platform’s integrity. I’ve changed the aesthetics & aero with chin spoilers and an RS America tail. But again, I’ve mixed design elements within the 964 vocabulary.

    993 a water cooled motor??? Isn’t the 993 the last and most advanced of the air cooled?

    • @theneworder4796
      @theneworder4796 Před 3 lety

      The video explains that the 993 was originally designed to carry a watercoooled motor, but due to financial challenges, Porsche retained the air cooled motor.
