My Insignia 2015 2.0 biturbo is not recognizing my phone at all. Any idea why?

@@TestAndReview hey, thank you for responding. I tried connecting android phone (Honor 50) and Iphone 13. Both phones are up to date, I tried with the car turned off, with the radio off, with car turned on.. pretty much everything. Still nothing.

Hi, I have some interesting situation with my Insignia, which i bought and now im waiting it to be delivered from Germany. I still don't know if it has an android auto... My car is produced in September 2015. And my VIN has 10th symbol G, which means the car is 2016... so im a little confused...if it has it!

@@TestAndReview I just wanted to know if it's very possible to have it... because it's 2015. It's september 2015, limousine not hatch. It's snow white color with black sun protected rear and back windows. It's OPC line full package - interior and exterior. It's equipped with full electric, heated Recaro black leather seats, automatic gearbox. The engine is 2.0CDTI 170hp - B20DTH, Euro 6. It has Intellilink RF900 media with rear parking camera and also premium flexride suspension with distronic and lane assist, 20 inch 8.5J factory original wheels. It has an automatic factory fitted towbar. I dont know its not something special but... very limited configuration i think... IT DOESN'T HAVE 3 THINGS - digital speedometer, touch pad (but i think it dissapears in the late 2015 models, cuz its unnecessary) and fog lights... I just dont know why but it hasn't got fog lights... :) All in All, how is it sounds... what do you think? Im very excited... :)
@@JustRideTM I think it is a very good configuration, well packed with extras. The 20-inch wheels may give you some harsh ride, I am on 18 summer and 17 winter and honestly I wouldn't go for any bigger.

Not really sure, mine came like this. I don't know if it just has with the updated system or it is something else. What happens when you plug your Android smartphone into the USB?
Does all car settings work on this radio ? Like electric seats setting ect
No Lukasz, they don't. Thankfully there are hardware buttons for all the main functions, and the infotainment is mostly for entertainment, media, navigation etc.

I have 2015 insignia 2.0 cdti ecoflex and i cant find the android auto in the screen menus and don't have an icon on the screen display iether ?? Can anyone tell me it should be there please 🙏
Hi Steve, did you try to connect your Android phone to the system with USB C/USB cable? Once you do so give it couple of seconds and check the on screen menu (Bluetooth and GPS are usually on). If nothing is showing up, then you might not have it installed.

Дали имате идея какъв е проблемът със свързването на радиото на опела с някои телефони и по-точно защо телефонът се свързва перфектно с колата, когато телефонирам, но пък не пропуска никакъв звук, когато искам да пусна музика от телефон. Телефонът е Xiaomi, колата е Инсигния 2014. И още нещо ако може- имате ли наблюдения дали може безпроблемно да се смени радиото с по-модерно и ако да коя марка бихте препоръча. Благодаря.
My insignia (early 2015) is there any way to update my infotainment so that i can get android auto and the projection icon? Thanks your advice would be appreciated
Not sure about the update, I would recommend to go to official dealer and check with them. I played around with the projection icon on this system and it does literally nothing, I couldn't get to the point to project my screen on the infotainment display - when you connect it via Bluetooth and you click it, it says to plug the cable, when you plug the cable it launches Android auto and the projection icon disappears automatically.
Hey. Did you managed to solve this? Mine has apple carplay, connected iphone and it displays navigation on cars display, but when i connect android phone with usb, its nothing. I guess i will also try to get to dealer to ask whats going on. Even on car settings it shows about apple carplay, but nothing about android auto, so i guess its either glitched, or only that apple carplay has been added, no idea.
@@MaXsKEDA Did your car have previous owners? Probably someone did some updates... best to check with dealer I guess.
@@TestAndReview yea, i took it as used car. My guess also is, that previous owner have made some upgrades and thats why it has apple carplay.

I haven't tested it with iPhone but I guess it should.

I mean i only have gps if my phone is conected.Not pe se solo...But if internet s not working maps not workin...
@@ionutpreda1979 If you don't have internet, then you may want to use the internal navigation of the car, not the one from your smartphone.

Does it work with usb type c aswell?
What do you mean? You have a regular USB and an AUX inputs in this model. If you have an adapter from type c to regular, you can try.
I mean i have a phone which has a usb type c charging port.
