- I found a swarm of bees in my garden so attempted to catch them in a box and re-home them in a new bee hive. Beekeeping is quite exciting!

the swarming bit was really exciting. Never thought bee keeping would give you such a buzz.
Thanks for filming bro 😊
Oh gosh Carl that’s a buzzing cheesy joke 😅
No, apart from one guy shouting out the window of his car at me saying “keep making fishing videos” lol
I came to the comments for a buzz joke. Wasn’t disappointed! Nice one Carl 🤣
That wasn't the swarming. In polish we call it oblot. Young bees leave the hive to do "poo" that's why there so many of them flying. Young bees work in the hive until they are old enough to start working in the field collecting nectar. I hope me english is good enough to get it right
That was brilliant Alex. I am actually really enjoying your new channel even if I don't aspire to collect mushrooms or keep bees - the content is a great watch!
This is where Alex realises everyone wants his honey and he goes into bee business
beesness?
Most certainly!
Seems like quite a courageous act, capturing a swarm of bees from a tree as a beginner bee keeper! Fair play to you! 👍
The best part of this video was seeing you and Carl together again in the video . Carl you where so close to the bees and so calm great job boys keep the videos coming ...
I'm not gonna lie, I thought bee keeping would be pretty boring to watch and to do, but you've definitely changed my mind, it was actually pretty interesting.
I've given some thought to keeping bees once I retired. You have opened my eyes that it's not just, here you go bees and come back to collect the honey! It's a lot of work, but I'm sure very rewarding. I'll watch your vids and learn along with you before committing. Thank you! PS - Love your enthusiasm for life!
I love watching you as yourself learning about bee keeping, it feels as if I was learning myself but I'm afraid I don't have a place but I still enjoy your videos.
Loving your new adventure.
Thanks for watching!
My dad used to keep bees back in the late nineties. I can remember an old plumb tree in amongst his hives that used to break it's branches due to the weight of the plumbs on each branch (every flower got pollinated a million times). Swarms were a pretty common thing back then and I remember plenty of them as a kid. It's great that you're keeping going with this. Your success will be sweet.... Literally.
I started watching your videos with my boyfriend as he is a big fan of yours. Since then I've been out fishing and caught my first carp (10.3lbs - Yay!), we're growing mushrooms and we are planting bee friendly plants in the garden! :)
Looking forward to seeing how you get on with the honey.
Duuuuude Alex your wild and it is absolutely brilliant. My jaw was dropped the entire time. There is no way I would shake a bee hive off of a tree branch like that. Sheeeesh so bold and really scary yet cool to watch
Cheers for watching!
Glad you caught them on time. I opened the bedroom door once and found the room alive with bees. I shut the door again quickly and worked out other sleeping arrangements for the night. A few hours later I opened the door a crack, and saw that every single bee was gone, except for a dead one on the window sill. The hazards of sleeping in a room with an air brick!
Your passion and enthusiasm for what ever you do is brill keep up the good work love watching your vids 💯👍
You must have balls of steel, amazing stuff Alex. Seen it done once before, well part done my friend had already gathered a swarm in a bin bag he had got the queen in his pocket inside a matchbox. When he opened up the bin bag his jeans were covered in bees within seconds, he didn't have a bee suit. He put the matchbox into hive he'd prepared and the swarm he was now covered in left and entered the hive. I was terrified but fascinated it's amazing stuff thanks for reminding me of a distant memory, it was 44 years ago. 🌸🐝🌻🐝🌹🐝🐝🐝👍
This brought back some great memories, Alex.
For a new beekeeper you handled it really well. It's certainly a bit nerve wracking when they start to swarm.
Yes please, I'd definitely like to be considered for some honey. Obviously I don't mind paying for it.
Looking forward to the next instalment on this very varied and interesting channel.
Thanks!
I don't usually watch many of Alex's videos, but this one was really interesting and an insight into beekeeping. Nice job on the artificial swarming!
I found that really interesting Alex , brilliant stuff. You're going to inspire your followers to try new things I'm sure.😃
Just wow ! One of the most incredibly fascinating and educational videos. Well done Alex.
I enjoy your videos so very much. I appreciate you taking the time to teach future new beekeepers. Have a great honey season.
Wow Alex that was tense, spot on for working things out. It sounds like you've got some good people helping around you.
I have just found you channel and loving it.. I have 1hive and 2 nuc hives. No bees ready to catch some bees today from a tree.. I love the raw excitement.. you have taught me more in 3 episodes that all these people doing step by step tutorials. I love your journey. Hopefully be this afternoon I will have bees too.
Oh my goodness what a roller-coaster! You did so well (and so did Carl) amazing to watch.
Wow that was thrilling and glad you were able to split the colony you handled it like a pro your channel knows no boundaries it just gets better and better 👍
Thanks!
Well done! Just a short bit of panicking then you just got on with it. Kudos my friend. Very well done to Carl especially considering his alergy. Your enthusiasm is contagious. Love it.
I did actually mean "allergy" but got a bit over zealous. Lol😋
amazingly interesting....you must have read loads of books to be that confident in cutting down the swarm in the tree and knowing exactly what to do..... yes please I would buy a jar of your honey....well done Alex ( and Carl !)
Thanks!
Really cool to see how you keept the swarm even though the where already starting to fly out. Looking forward to the next bee video
That was really good. It’s the first video in ages that I’ve watched all the way through without skipping parts. Very interesting .👍😎
I've watched your bee adventures and I gotta say this has been super exciting! I've got my hives ready and I've ordered two nucs! Thank you Alex!
So cool! Thank you for saving the bees!
Good effort Alex, that was superb! Love those Bee's
Hey Alex, I just found your channel this morning from searching Van conversions, this is the second video I have watched of yours and really enjoyed it. What’s more I’ve learnt some new Infomation. I had no idea about the different type of cells and how they create a new Queen when they want to swarm. Really quite fascinating 🙏🏼
Absolutely outstanding, this video is an inspiration to other potential bee keepers, looking forward to seeing the next instalment of your bee keeping journey.
Many thanks!
Excellent video Alex. Hope you get a good harvest.
Thanks Ryan!
I don't know how I never till today came across your channel. All the videos are amazing I've learned quite some new interesting stuff. All I can say is just thank you for making these awesome videos and keep on going!
Thanks so much. Glad you found the videos!
This video is just amazing and it’s cool that you bonded with your bees and I’m happy for you
Cheers!
Hiya Alex, I have watched your fishing videos for some years now however I really am enjoying the bees / camping. I’m a new bee keeper myself and great to see that you love them as much a I do :) keep up the great work
Cheers Chris, best of luck with your beekeeping! :)
Really lovely to see you both together again as well. Love you both 💓
Absolute legend mate! You did a great job retrieving them bee’s. Impeccable timing too on the hive box 😂
This was amazing Alex. Fair play to you getting fully stuck in.
Yes to the honey. I would suggest buying a load of syringes that fit as a large letter. If you put it into jars then less people will be able to try it and will be more expensive on postage.
Maybe even 'cap' the ends of them with your own wax
Cheers James. :)
That’s so awesome and your so brave Iv watched you and your brother for years now and I must say your doing great on your own the pair off you have done great things and that honey will be amazing hopefully it has a unique taste!! Keep up the great work looking forward to the next vid 😊
Fantastic Ep Alex. Suspenseful and Informative 👍🏻

That was so cool Alex. Thanks for sharing it with us. 👍🏻
Was great fun making and sharing this!
Great watch, having your own honey is a fantastic idea
Another excellent video. Loving the variety of content. I'm learning loads for the future as I would love to keep bees too. I've also grabbed a couple of books based on your vids ....a bee manual and a mushroom identification book. Keep up the awesome work 🤙
I never imagined someone could make a video about beekeeping so exciting... When the music kicked in and you where trying to find the queen, I was on the edge of my seat. Great content! Keep it up 😀
Thanks so much for watching. Glad you enjoyed!

Great, it's super fascinating.
awesome, way to figure it out Alex.
For years I was watching channels like JP the Beeman for bee keeping and Carl and Alex for fishing :) It is incredible for me to see Alex catching a swarm of bees :D I was sad at first when you guys (Carl and Alex) divided but that only meant double the best content for us !! :)
A very interesting video to watch. You did an excellent job Alex capturing those bees 🐝🐝🐝
Cracking video Alex, my wife and I have been watching and are doing some research into starting beekeeping too! You have inspired us! That and I found some Morels today! Woohoo! We would love a jar of your honey in the future!
Great video Alex, I found that thoroughly interesting. You have me thinking whether I should adopt a hive!!!!
Excellent episode Alex. I love how Carl was filming without any bee keeping protection and allergic 🤣 risking it all for quality content. I for one would enjoy regular bee updates and wouldnt mind partaking in a bit of honey 😋
Glad to know they survived the winter! Well done on catching them too when they tried to swarm hahaha you smashed it!
Carl just proved that his balls must be massive. He's the true alpha brother! :D Great Vid!
Talk like that could start a fight , in fact I can hear it now ,
FIGHT, FIGHT, FIGHT, FIGHT, BUNDLE!
That was some hilariously rogue beekeeping! Great video!
Also shoutout to Carl for one courageous cameo
That was brilliant! I've had a swarm of bees in my garden a few years ago and it's an awesome thing. Your videos are a tonic, thank you dude! Put me down for some honey if they're generous enough! :D
That was great fun to watch. Well done you.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Excellent video, loads of really interesting information Alex. Keep up the good work mate
Hi Alex, I really like your parents garden. Your dad has done an amazing job

Good work Alex, my father in law is a bee keeper so I'm really interested to see how you get on. Good luck.
From initially searching for small car camping ideas, never did I expect to be sat up at midnight fascinated by your bee keeping antics😅 brilliant content love it! Looking forward to see how you do the honey extraction process and would certainly buy some from you!
Thanks! Glad you are enjoying the videos!
Hey Alex, I have to say this was a very interesting watch 👏🏼👏🏼. You are so super chilled when working with them, I’d be freaking out lol. It was nice to watch you do your thing. Keep up the good work mate 🐝🐝
Thanks William! Glad you enjoyed it! :)

Great video Alex!
For me , I think that was the most interesting 23 minutes of film I have watched in my whole life, great stuff Alex :)
Glad you enjoyed it!
I’d love to try some of your honey mate. Keep up the great work. Just seeing you enjoying your life in the purest way possible is an inspiration to me and I’m sure many others
Thanks James!
Alex congratulations on ur amazing bee keeping journey, we are loving every episode of your new channel and would love to try some honey, I feel like I need to keep bee’s myself now! Massive thanks to u for the inspiration
Thanks, hope you manage to start keeping bees, it will lead you on an interesting and fun journey!
That was killer brother well done it was really cool seeing how it all works I have always found bee keeping was a really cool process thank u for sharing it with us all over here in the USA till next time stay safe
I started last summer myself and thankfully I’ve not had mine swarm (yet). I have a FlowHive and have just added the honey super. I get my next colony in the next week or so and will be keeping them in a national poly hive. Can’t wait to see what this season brings for all us beekeepers. I’m going to start documenting my journey too. Good luck with everything.
Oh also if you start taking an antihistamine the stings will affect you a lot less. 👍🏼🐝🐝
Good luck with it Jamie! :)
Really interesting watch mate, never thought id find this sort of thing interesting but you have a really awesome way of passing on the information around the things you learn. keep up the awesome content.
Cheers for watching!
Nicely done. Honey is great in tea Alex. It gives a nice flavour and is better than sugar. I often put 1 teaspoon in tea instead of 2 sugars. I am interested in trying yours as well. I will even pay for a jar because you should at least get something for keeping them. We'll done young man.
Amazing video pal thanks and some interesting info on bees I will deffo buy some of your honey when it's available great to watch as always
Absolutely loving your new journey! Living life your way and on your terms is something everyone should strive towards. Looking forward to some honey glazed boletus cooked in the back of your car out in the woods somewhere 🍄🌲
Thanks Dave. That sounds amazing! Thanks for watching!
You are just such a genuine human being! Love this video man and all of the ones you are posting.!! I would definitely buy some of your honey!!
Thanks! :)
Brilliant video Alex. So interesting. Would love to try some of the honey 👍
OMG Alex! I am so proud of you! Only a beekeeper for a few months and you recaptured that swarm like a seasoned pro! My very experienced keeper friends don’t always manage to catch them back up. It sure looked like you might have headed off them swarming altogether. They just beat you to it.
I would love to try some of their honey when harvest time comes, but suspect there could be barriers to shipping it internationally (UK to US). Meanwhile, I am hoping for an abundance of fragrant blooms to flavor your first honey batch.
Thanks! :)
Between the mushroom hunting, the car project and the bees makes for a great mix of things to watch here 👍
Glad you are enjoying!
Thanks for a really interesting video , Alex . Like most hobbies , it seems as though there`s a lot more to it than you might think . Well done for only getting stung once - I was getting worried for you at one point 😄
I would definitely love to try the honey from your bee colony. Looks like you are doing a fantastic job!!
Love watching your bee keeping journey. Very interesting. And yes Would definately like to try and buy some of your honey ! X and ps. Myself and my husband have followed you and your brother for a long time. Its now nice to follow yiur own journeys !
tell your brother we're still waiting for the pond update hahaha 😆 x
wake up in the morning
realize bees swarming like crazy all over the garden
must be eyes opening 😅
+ you need to catch the queen
sure it's mad & exciting
Great video Alex. I had no idea about beekeeping and you made it very interesting. I love the fact that you just give things a go even if your not 100% sure. Keep up the good work. Also I would love some honey if you get any.
Great video Alex. Loved the way you explained what you were doing! Would be great to try some of your honey when it’s ready 👍
Thanks Simon. :)
