  • This week Ella is joined by Elizabeth Day for an empowering conversation on releasing societal pressures, navigating life’s ups and downs and how Elizabeth kept moving forwards when things don’t go to plan, plus the tools that supported her to embrace failure, imperfections, and chase the life she truly desired.
    They discuss:
    • Societal expectations to have the ‘perfect’ life
    • People pleasing to fit in
    • Cultivating deep friendships
    • Finding the courage to go after the life you desire
    • Gut instincts
    • Discovering what you need rather than what you want
    • The inner work crucial for moving forwards
    • Turning physical strength into mental resilience
    • Elizabeth’s non-negotiables for feeling well

Love each episode of this podcast! One thing I personally found very useful during lockdown were the daily walks. The fresh air and moving outside just cleared my brain. I love staying at home, but if it's 24/7, it is simply too much.

This is why I am leaving medicine- for my mental peace. Letting go of this chapter at 47. Imagine doing a job where a majority of your day is the misery of people navigating a system that failed them and then people blaming the doctors and nurses for it when they could have been doing what they love. I feel like i wasted my life with none of the moments you described that I wished.i had...I wish I could survey if others would trade places... am happier outside of the setting which made me not live life. Also I figured out what they were doing to healthcare workers that gave up decades. You both are courageous to talk about this issue and the leaving the settings that dont serve your emotional needs...

wanted to go to Wimbledon 20 years ago and never did..my first Superbowl last year at 46. I know the NHS workers understand me understanding a life unlived - yet with your eyes open and heart beating.

People still believe that chicken soup is so good for you.😂 It is not the beard that heals you but the vegetables in the soup. Dead bird soup.😂

Cis women?!? Ms Day, really? Using woke language. Sad. Plus calling your ex-husband a narcissist in a public interview …. It takes two to tango!

Eating chicken soup? Water with a dead corpse? Bad karma…

She’s doing what works for her, you passing judgment is bad karma.
