the only mirrors i have taken is my own stock one because it was crusty and the mirror shattered while adjusting it and almost my bar end mirrors because a cyclist decided to cut me off while i was doing 100km/H escaping police. i blinked where i was going i started to turn where i was going but still that cyclist that did see me coming from a bit away still decided NAHHHHH i think i can get past before this bike turns and just turned out right in front of me. i did my best to dodge him but my bar end mirror blasted his hand and handle bar. mirror was fine as it's made out of nice metal but don't know how that idiots hand was but he has only himself to blame.

True, i gotta recognize that speacially with my car i can be a bit of an idiot sometimes, to the point where once i was break checked by a van, that stopped from 120 to a dead 0 in the middle of the highway with traffic, since that day i realized that bigger vehicles always win, speacially if ur in a bike

One time a woman cut me off (she legit cut me off she also agreed she was in the wrong) and when I went up to her at the light I wanted to punch her mirror, instead I wagged my finger and folded her mirror in. We both laughed, she apologized, and I moved on with my life cuz I indeed didn’t die.

i guess i dont understand how laughing at almost losing your life due to someone elses negligence (in any case) is acceptable? It's never okay? If you were almost killed at work by someone operating a machine due to their negligence. Is that something to laugh at?
Personally, i feel laughing and making light of a situation in where you could've lost your life, but fate said otherwise is better than overthinking about it and ruining your mood the rest of your day

I agree 100% gixxerbrah. Car drivers arent out to get us, they simply can't see us. It is our responsibility to make ourselves visible and ride at a safe speed where we have total control over our vehicle. 👍🏻

I’m going to show my age, but my belief is when cameras became small enough to be put on helmets and what not riders started creating opportunities to possibly go viral Rev bomb, or smash a mirror, Most of the time they’re unskilled and putting themselves in dangerous places

Even before I started riding, I've never understood the mindset of breaking mirrors, even if you truly aren't in the wrong, be the better person and leave the situation and move on. Why take out your mindset on someone else?

I mind my own business and ride my own ride and I do not impede or stop or do anything to bother traffic. “Respectfully”
I'm a Sportster 1200 rider. Age 64. Been riding on the street for 48 years. Never crashed, never been in a physical altercation with another rider/driver, but I have had a lot of 4 wheel operators try to kill me. It goes with the territory. If you are a new rider, that is the biggest challenge you will face. Just about anybody can learn to ride a motorcycle in a parking lot on an empty street. Dealing with 4 wheeled vehicle operators that are trying to kill you is the real challenge when riding on the street. Not all of them will, but some will. It never fails. As you get more experience you can use you experience and skills to try and avoid them, and that works most of the time. About every other time I go for a ride, I get at least one car shoved in my face. I really think that most of them are not doing it on purpose (though some likely are) but the end result is the same. Serious injury or death for you, probably a traffic ticket for them if they are not drunk. I remember in the pilot episode of Then Came Bronson, when Bronson kicked in a car door of a woman that almost hit him, then later hooked up with her. I don't recommend getting involved in road rage, you never know if the other person is armed or not. I am. I live in a Constitutional carry state. But it can escalate to a point where you have no choice but to protect yourself.

I do the same, but only because I'm on a motorized bike going 50mph+, I like seeing people's reactions to my bike because they never really see motorized bikes, but even I'm not this entitled lol

Im gonna watch the rest of this video but, when I am done, Im going to walk away asking " What did that dude on the Ninja 400 Think" LOL
I remember one time when I was 16 and driving around by my 125cc and being cool and shit, but this one guy changed line on top of me. Had to dodge it and accelerated a bit to make space with all the awesome power that smol engine had to offer. Scared me bad, no lie. This older guy then stopped next to me and started barking me and blaming me for it. Guess what I did? Nothing, nothing at all. I let the guy open his mouth and after was on my way. I had all my adrenaline pumping and was angry as young man can be, but soon later realized that the guy was at least as scared of the close call for hurting a young biker as I was to almost get hurt. And that was his reason for reaction.
I am now 38, so it was 22 years back, been driving bikes ever since and never broke a single mirror. Don't do it, we are not enemies.

100% right, I got recommended this video today after my first "something bad ALMOST happened" incident on a bike. I was on a 2 lane backroad and someone pulled out right in front of me and I'd already moved to the edge of the lane/shoulder and sped up to clear the intersection before they fully entered the lane. I didn't really even process what was happening until I'd already maneuvered to avoid the situation. Afterwards I didn't have any kind of an emotional response.

Very few instances when a mirror punch is justified. And even in those circumstances I'm still not doing it. Seen people shot for far less and it's just not worth it because my ego got hurt.
Smashing someone's mirror only helps justify the car drivers anger. Just move along in life. I've dodged far too many snowbirds here in florida. Just move along. Give them the finger if you have to. Dont let them ruin your day.

A Kia with no plate swerved and almost hit me on the highway, it pissed me off so I got up next to them and just flipped them off. IMMEDIATELY swerved into my lane and got so close to hitting me and then continued to chase me off the exit almost killing me. Definitely an "I need to chill" moment for me.

Been riding for 25 years. Just like i dont like people messing with my stuff i dont mess with theirs. Never felt the need to damage someones property. Yeah i ride fast and get annoyed by slow drivers, but thats no reason to yell at people. They just insecure about their driving. Besides, when you out riding, you got time, youre enjoying yourself. whats the point being 1st everywhere. Important people are always a little late anyway :)
