Kindle got me back into reading & can’t live without it!! Also if you have a library card, you can borrow ebooks through Libby as well. This ended up being a huge money saver😭

Love my kindle so much! Best tip I learned this year is that kindle does “first reads” on the first day of each month where you get to pick 1-2 books for free that release later that month. I’ve been pretty impressed with the books they offer too. I do think you have to be a prime member.

Welcome to the family! I've had a Kindle of some sort since day one. I have the Scribe, PW, and Oasis. The Scribe is great for annotating and taking notes. The other two are definitely more portable. You can change the font, font size, orientation, and more. Play around-I bet you will love it!

Congrats on your first Kindle! I have the paperwhite and it goes with me everywhere, probably more than my phone. I was never interested in the Scribe, but your comparison of the Scribe next to physical books was very interesting. I can definitely see the appeal of the larger screen when looking at it from that perspective. Happy reading!

Welcome to the kindle world! I started my reading journey with a kindle. I recently started reading physical books and I enjoy reading both ways. There is a savings with having a kindle because normally wont pay the same for a book as you would a physical book. But, I do enjoy the feel of reading physical books now so I’m glad that I have the option to choose how I read, especially when I read multiple books at one time.
With kindle unlimited, you borrow books, like a library and when you’re done reading the book you return it and can get another book.

Great review! What you said about choosing this because the size mimics most sizes of most books was a different perspective. I chose the scribe for the bigger screen myself. At some point I want to journal in the notebooks on it.
I love how big the screen is and that it feels like an actual book. So so good!

Hi! I have been watching a ton of video in anticipation of Prime Day when I plan on buying the Kindle Paperwhite. I have an Amazon Fire but wanted something smaller to slip in my smallest bag when traveling. I love how enthusiastic you are about your purchase! It literally makes me want to buy it now! I hope you do more videos on the Kindle and your reading experience.

One of the best things I love about having my Kindle is how I can take out ebooks from my local libraries and set it up so it sends it directly there! Highly recommend getting a library card if you don't have one already just for that feature.

Yay 😁🎉!!! Welcome to the Kindle Girlie community ❤❤❤. I got mine in July 🎉. Having the Kindle Paperwhite has changed my reading experience and game. I read daily because I have one. My Goodreads reading challenge has been crushed twice ❤since getting one. I enjoy my Paperwhite because I am a teacher. So I can carry my Kindle, with my iPad and MacBook in my work bookbag (which is really slim). You can also add your audible account and download your books. All you have to do it Bluetooth your AirPods to the Kindle and can listen to the audiobook plus read the text at the same time ❤❤❤. Please 🙏🏾 tell me the date.

Congratulations on getting a kindle. I do have a paperwhite and love it, but you can’t beat a physical book. I don’t have kindle unlimited, but I have looked into it and I think it is worth it. Hope you enjoy reading on your kindle.

Yeah, I think different websites do them. They just had one for romance books. I think that site has one today or soon for YA romance books. I think it’s called romancebookworms or something

💗Yesss! I got my Kindle Paperwhite last month and I am absolutely OBESSED! I have so many physical books on my TBR that I literally had to force myself to come back to the physical world. Haha! In that short period of time (September) it felt weird and uncomfortable holding a physical book to start my October TBR.
Stuff your kindle day is sooo much fun I think I ended up with alittle over 40 books ( I like to read the summaries before deciding to download books so I know I’d actually read them) When is the next Stuff Your Kindle Day?

I have a kindle paper white and I love it, it works for me cause I can throw it in my purse and go. I also like it cause it’s a way for me to see if I’ll like an author I never read from without actually buying the book and if I do like them then I can buy the book by physical copy or digital because I live in an apartment it helps me save space by buy digital too so it’s great to have that option. Also, if I fall asleep reading and it falls on my face it doesn’t hurt or wake me up 😂. I hope you enjoy your kindle 😊

I have a Paperwhite and the Kindle app on my phone and tablet. I still love physical books, but I can get more reading done with a Kindle. I'm also a retiree who downsized, so I have less space. KU has improved vastly since the early years and it's worth the money.

Welcome to the Kindle side!! Nothing beats a book, but an ereader is a close second. I have the Paperwhite because I like to carry it in my purse. I sometimes carry 2 books in my tote (I’m a habitual mood reader) so my book tote bag can become heavy or for night time reading when a book can be too hard to hold as I fall asleep…lol!!! FYI, the Stuff Your Kindle will happen again on December 27. I think it’s done 4th a year. However there isn’t one specifically for African American books. The SYK have various categories to choose from and Black and BIPOC is one of their categories listed.

Libby and KU (kindle unlimited) are my besties. I don’t reread books so I don’t want to buy any kindle/ebooks since I can’t have them physically up for display so Libby and KU have been such a money saver!

So the read now option is in reference to the kindle unlimited. You can have a 20 that are “borrowed” at a time the 2.99 means you can buy the ebook and keep it forever versus borrowing from the KU library. You can always swap them out. Also if you have a library that lets you connect to your kindle account they’re are ebooks you can borrow and send to your kindle to read also.

If you buy the book its yours, kindle unlimited you are borrowing it. I enjoy KU because i dont reread book but if i wanted to to i can borrow it again. Great travel companion. Ive been a kindle user since 2012 and haven't turned back

I was considering getting a kindle, but I still have the original that is 10+ yrs old which still works and can upload books but you can no longer purchase books on that device. I like my covers in color so I decided to upgrade to a Fire Tablet which I absolutely love. I know that you're going to enjoy your kindle. Buy all the books😂

I love hardcover too but I need large print. I only get library and we’ll most libraries doing more ebooks than large print because of the prices.

I'm over here giggling. Yes most of the books on your shelves are on KU. Now you can read for free and if the book is worth purchasing in print....then that works. The money that I have wasted on books that I DNF'd....😢
Oh and as far the font....sometimes you can select "publisher's font" and it looks exactly like the book.

Yep, if you purchase the book, it's yours forever. If you stop the unlimited subscription, you'll still have it. Love my Kindle.

I think the kindle is cool but I wish they would make it in color cause I love a pretty library especially a colorful one and the fact that the book cover is black and white is saddening lol
I get why someone would get a kindle but idk I don't like reading on my phone so i don't think a bigger device would do it for me
I’ve really enjoyed it so far! My favorite thing is being able to read in dark and I love being able to annotate anywhere I go!

Congrats to your first kindle 😊 I also always thought I would never buy one. But honestly...I am a single mom. My son is 1 year old and it is so hard to keep up with my reading. The only time I can read is at night when he is asleep and it is just so convenient to have the integrated light so you don't wake up the kid and you also don't need to put a little lamp on a physical book, which I always hated for some reason because it makes a book even heavier. Besides...sometimes my kid sleeps in the daytime but he ONLY falls asleep on my arm. So I only have one hand free to hold a book and then I can't flip the pages 😅 so my kindle was a game changer for me. It will take a while to get back to normal books. Probably when the kid is a little older but even then...I will always go back to the kindle because I just love that it is so lightweight. Especially helpful when it comes to a big book like Binding 13 😊
