And "Drug in me is Reimagined" is another one like this. Word for word, note for note. Thanks for these you are doing great!
They're both super epic! Should do a review on that song too!
"The piano is a harp laying down" Dude you just blew my mind at 46 y/o I never thought of that
I was the exact same way. Lmao
SAME đ
I prefer to think of it as â a harp is a piano that is upright, free of its heavily lacquered coffin and void of ivory deceased animal trophyâs . â but thatâs the tail from the darker side.
Technically, you can call a piano a string instrument. You're just hitting them with hammers, instead of strumming them. ^_^
You and me both
He did the same thing with "The Drug In Me Is You" and "The Drug In Me Reimagined"...defo worth checking out! Irish composer Sean Rooney composed both of the new versions.
PS: Ronnie Radke might react to your reaction...he does that a lot
Thanks. I was going to go see if Ronnie composed it. He's brilliant.
Ronnie Radke is not the composer, but he is. This iteration was composed by Sean Rooney (who also did "The Drug in me is Reimagined"), but it follows the same chord structures throughout as the original version, just at a very different tempo and with very different instruments. I believe that Rooney's recording of the piano is once again used in this studio version, but Radke is quite capable of playing it himself (and does during live performances).
great point - even if he doesn't keep the composer title, he basically is. he doesn't make anything that isn't "his"
a recovering addict as ronnie was is now a walking inspiration
As many have said. The Drug in Me is You then The Drug in Me is Reamagined. Ronnie Radke is a wild ride of insane talent
I second this
I Third it
Fourth
Yep
The drug in me is reimagined next please.
They usually refer to the new version of a song as âReimaginedâ, these guys just called it revamped for the pun
They usually call it remastered. Not many people redo there own song. They just clean it up a little. This is like doing a cover of your own music.
@@randobit1 Iâve seen this being done a lot more often recently. Two bands that I can remember off the top of my head that have done this are Skillet and As It Is. itâs not particularly common, but it is a thing thatâs become a tiny bit of a trend the last few years.
@@randobit1 no a remastered song is just the midi files from the original song put on to a better digital system ro get better quality sounds in order to re record the exact same song that was originally recorded but with better technology, so its the exact same song with better sound quality.
Songs like this have always been called a reimagined version because its the same song composed and performed/recorded in a different way to the original
@@randobit1 most bands redo their own songs eventually, they just dont record and release it, they just start playing their songs differently than the originals.
This is actually extremely common
@@broadacresyungbuddha8388 yeah for concerts And stuff like that sure. But they don't normally record and reproduce them like this.
Another thing I love with this masterpiece is the inclusion of the "environmental" sounds like the footsteps.
Beside that his voice is so intense and so full of emotion, bringing out his innermost and darkest parts.
I don't care for the original song, but man... This song is POWERFUL! What a beautiful combination... between the visuals and the vocals... Man, this was incredible.
i like them both for entirely different reasons and as a whole it really shows how far Ronnie has grown, not just as a musician, but as a person too.
I totally agree. I don't care for the original, but I do love this iteration.
Ronnie certainly does have a gorgeous voice, wether it's rock, pop, rap, or anything else.
The man's voice is truly iconic.
Sean Rooney is the composer of the "revamped" version. Ronnie is amazing, but Sean brought the magic to this one.
I think the word you were searching for when referring to where down deep that feeling and power in Ronnie's singing comes from...courtesy of Will Ferrell..."way down in my plums"
Keep an eye on Ronny's social media - he likes to watch fans react to their music and will put your vid up and watch it.
EDIT: Point of order, as a geologist, magma is under the surface molten rock, lava is above ground. :D
Everyone's newest guilty pleasure, watching Ronnie reactions
@@vegas272007 Je ne regrette rien
@@vegas272007 I don't like the dude on a personal level but his appreciation for his fans appreciation is very refreshing and man if it ain't wholesome as shit
@@rog2224 Bounjour! moi aussi, mais mon Francais n'est pas bon
@@MrKeeganimal Watching his reactions has definitely helped me understand him better, he explains anything from song facts to his philosophy about changing himself and evolving with music, using blunt lyrics so you don't get distracted from the emotion... I can dig it, plus his pitbull Lobster is a HAM
Damn, I just love your reactions, cause it's always apparent how much you love music.
âSounds like weâre about to get our asses handed to us.â You are correct, sir.
im crying...so pretty
Ha...you said, "When the power comes in..."
I thought, "Just listen to a bit more."
Yay!! You finally made it to this!! Your face when the full sound came in was everything đ€ I knew you would appreciate this. Thank you so much for the breakdown!
Btw Tony Maserati produced/engineered the mix on this.
I definitely suggest Popular Monster, and then The Drug In Me Is You/The Drug In me Is Reimagined đ€
his voice is so gentle
Sean Rooney composed it. Heâs from Ireland. He worked with Ronnie on the Drug in me is you reimagined
Sean Rooney composed the music part. I like these remakes it makes the lyrics so much more impactful than the old versions.
He composed this when he was incarcerated. He also started Falling In Reverse while he was there.
Love how you grabbed your throat like you felt it internally I think we all did
Wow, the Danny Elfman comparison was spot on. I hadn't even thought about that but you are SO right.
You should check out Popular Monster by Falling in Reverse. Itâs pretty awesome as well!
i believe ronnie radke has made sure that all the reactions for his videos wonât get flagged or removed. heâs said this multiple times on his twitch while reacting to peopleâs reactions. (he does that a lot, lol. not too sure how often he does this nowadays, though.) either way, itâs great for us who loves to watch said videos and such. personally, iâm obsessed. iâve spent the fast few days just watching falling in reverse reactions, haha. and ronnieâs reactions, too! itâs great. still, i only just recently discovered the magic that is falling in reverse and iâm already obsessed with it.
i hope you react to more of their music! the drug in me is you/reimagined is another one you should do-which a lot of people have already mentioned, i expect. ughhh, so ethereal. this is pure inspiration for me as well. iâll be publishing a new poetry collection soon, thatâs for sure!
Dude your reaction when he starts yelling something about putting a stake in his heart or something made my morning. Never heard this song either so that definitely caught me off guard too haha
Elements of Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata at the beginning - the repetitive notes ringing out over the flowing melody? Who thought of tilting and hitting harp strings with small hammers!? - genius! Touches of Aida with the building strings, brass and choir, Wagner's Niebeling? Some Dani Filth in - "I just want the world to believe". I hope Anne Rice sees this video! Ronnie's grand finale with that "baritone claw"!!! Powerful and passionate! = Brilliant.
Close. Actually the day I wrote the intro I was listening to the adagio movement of Beethovens 3rd piano sonata and was inspired by the mood. If you listen to it you'll hear what I mean.
I requested this awhile back I knew you would love it. Shows Ronnie's growth as a singer and in life itself. He does this with another song the drug in me is you and reimagined please check them out you'll be highly impressed
Happy 420 Geebz! Get the gummies!!!
I have heard it easily a 100 times now, and I still get chills.
Grandfather- the number twelve looks like you
I love seeing you get so excited during parts of the song, you just start grinning and it makes me smile. Can definitely tell that you love composing
Wintersun - Time. Now that would be a reaction.
Yes! Specifically the live studio session
I'll second this. Wintersun is phenomenal.
Absolutely agree!
You're great man, always super positive energy when I watch your content. Love the variety of songs/bands you've reacted to so far. Thankyou, and keep these vids coming please! :)
Been waiting for this one :) so so so so good. :)
I absolutely loved your breakdown and Ronnie loves to react to his reactors and he's gonna love your perspective on this too!
Falling in reverse - Losing my life is a great composition combining alot of elements đ
There toward the end, it's so easy to assume when he say's, "Lost all Hope,"
When he hits the note on "all" instinctively you just kind of think on "hope" it'll be the same note.
"There's no way he can go higher, not with that same energy!"
But he does! And he holds it!
I've never been a huge Ronnie Radke fan, but his talent is absolutely undeniable.
And it really seems like he just keeps getting better and better and I just keep wondering if he'll ever hit a ceiling :D
This production is one of the coolest things I've heard and seen lately. So glad you made this video!
Absolutely Mind blowing!!!!!!
Awwright! I would be immensely interested in seeing you do both versions of The Drug in Me in a video to "decompose" the differences and/or similarities in the two. Keep on keepin on man! âđ€
I learned so much from this reaction, that I never thought Iâd care about. Thank you. â€
As always another great reaction! Love your take on this song, keep up the great work!
Incredible the difference between the 2 versions of this, just shows how incredible some songs are and you just donât get it at times
WOW đŒđŒđčđčđŒđŒ Absolutely love this. Full body chills. Found this so emotional for some reason. Just amazing. â€ïžâ€ïž
Someone needs to tag Ronnie on this...he needs to hear this...
Keep em coming geebz.
can't wait for you to do more of falling in reverse, keep it up you're doing great
Epic reaction, I love it!
And I can't wait for Ronnie reacting to this reaction.
I would bet Geebz had no idea that he likes to to that.
More epic stuff incoming soonish! đ
His music is incredible. I think you're going to have a LOT of fun fully exploring them. They have an interesting story, as a band and Rodney personally. He's just getting better all the time and has no musical limits!
Everyday a good start with u Geebs! LIEBE
Was waiting for this! Awesome! âThe drug in me is reimaginedâ next please!
They have many incredible songs and Ronnie is an Extraordinarily Talented musician in every way. I honestly think anything you pick to listen to by them would melt your mind. I suggest you pick whichever one you do and listen I doubt you could go wrong.
I have been in love with Gothic Rock since I was a child. I was very excited to hear the revamping of Ronny's music. He had potential from the beginning and he's a musical genius. It's rare to find these days. He built his voice and ability so well it's beautifully haunting. The piano and tempo is amazing and perfect for Gothic style music. I am so happy they didn't distort his voice. It's crisp and clear. Very nice đ.
You are doing so many of my fav bands this week! I second taking a listen to "The Drug in Me is Reimagined" as another revamp song from them. And for something heavier from them, "Popular Monster" has been on repeat in my playlist for about the past year!
I am so happy you did this reaction I loved it!
That was a perfect analogy of Ronnie's voice! It comes from the very lava-laden depths of the Earth and out of his mouth! I have not seen anyone produce the degree of intensity and emotion that he can! Great reaction sir!
Great reaction. Really like the original version, but this one is amazing. Thank you for this reaction.
Keep up your reactions. I love em alot and you seems like a really good human. I sub!
Awesome song ! Thanks for the discovery !
Aloha from Holualoa - Big Island! I loved the analysis. Was a beautiful new look/view at the song. Mahalo for the reaction, got yourself a new sub brah đ€
This is the second time falling in reverse has done this. The first was "the drug in me is reimagined" and it's incredible. You will love it.
I'm so happy you are diving into falling in reverseđ€đ€
Hey geebz love your videos specially the metal ones lml lml I know you do this for the pure listener but I'd love to see you decompose in a deeper level. Thanks to your videos y got to things I never thought whenever I0'm recording my covers and it would be great to squeeze from you a little bit more in terms of music theory (just a little bit) and mastering processes. Love ya and salutations from Barcelona from a half Japanese guy :)
"From the lava of the planet, it just came spewing out."
Really amazing analysis man!
Hey, that's my band! Glad you dig it.
Love your reviews. I see a lot of âVocal Coaches,â but, as a composer, you bring a unique perspective. Thanks you for taking the time to do this. Suggestion: âDrug in me is Youâ AND âDrug is me is Reimagined,â both by Falling in Reverse. Iâd love to see you react back to back as each version has its strengths.
Absolutely have to do the Drug In Me Is You Reimagined!! U got a new subscriber today bud. I love your breakdowns and to see the emotion in ur face when u get into a piece
As many have already said, The drug in me is you and then The drug in me is reamagined. This was a great reaction!
A piano being referred to a harp but laying down is something I've never thought about but now I can't unthink it and it makes so much sense!
TOOL did a revamp version of their song Push It off of their AEnima album. The revamp version is on their live 2001 Salival release. Please do a react video to both versions. It is TOOL after all, gotta give it the respect it deserves
Yes!!
Oh shit Iâll have to look that up.
@@gryphon0468 did you check it out?
@@johncarpenter3751 Didn't blow me away, sorry.
came here to say this
Finally you reacted to this one!
I've been waiting fir you to review this.
his OWN cover of "The Drug In Me Is You" is the most beautiful transition
Another musical thing that I thought when I first heard it is the use of the choir backing vocals. In the loud parts it adds amazing depth to encompany Ronnies vocals and to me it give me goosebumps. Then to completely bring it down I call the calm after a storm adds to much to a musical piece and I love this production for that
one of my 5 favorite artists. "im bad at life" is probably the song that speaks to me the most.
Iâm so stoked that you have discovered FIR. Start with âThe Trilogyâ: Losing My Mind, Losing My Life, Drugs. Love your videos, bro.
Whooaaa weird song to start off with Falling In Reverse. Glad to hear you listened to the original though since this is very unlike anything else they've done. Ronnie's voice is pretty interesting and for a long time he was my favourite vocalist. He was in another band Escape The Fate prior to this group. He was only the singer for their first album (Dying Is Your Latest Fashion - It was my all time favourite album between like, 12 and 16 years old) before being kicked out due to a stint in prison. I don't love all the stuff he's done as Falling In Reverse but he's done pretty well for himself and he's blown up on Twitch, mad respect for the guy for turning his life around!
Edit: Finished watching the video, glad you enjoyed his voice that much! I didn't love the way he ended this version of the song but I like that it showed the screams he's able to put out! Cheers!
Kamelot - Memento Mori
Dream Theater - Space Dye Vest
Good reaction man
Thank you friend.
i think you'd like the works of susumu arakawa. his work on the anime berserk is haunting yet beautiful.
I felt the goosebumps hit you when the orchestra dropped in
There's a band called Copeland that had an album called Ixora released that they came back a year later and released a second version of the album. BUT the cool part is if you play them simultaneously they compliment eachother in harmonies or different arrangements or production (super cool) you should check that out sometime
you need to hear the original composition of this song by the same guy. He's an absolute genius. Listen to his work
One of my favorite bands
Ronnie is known to react to peoples reactions. I really hope he reacts to yours. Because you are awesome with the way you react to music.
Awesome review as usual. How about some music from the Swedish band GHOST, like "cirice" or "square hammer". Keep up the solid work
More of this!
Loved this video. Helped me hear things in the music that I would have never noticed. But like you said itâs hard to focus on one thing because Ronnies voice just pulls you into the lyrics.
I love you how you mentioned Danny Elfman. I think the world needs another Tim Burton movie that is scored by Danny Elfman but sung by Ronnie Radke. That would just work so well.
This song is so so deep. He wrote the whole track whilst serving time.
I really enjoy the variations in Popular Monster by this same band!
Yeeees. Literally come true.
Been hoping you would do this one...and also his other redone song the drug in me as many others have already mentioned.
Like others have said, the drug in me is you and the drug in me reimagined is very similar to this one, in other words awesome. Also Popular Monster is a good werewolf movie. Great review.
My mind is blown.
Ronnie is Insanely talented. FIR!! â„ïžđ€
Tool did it with the live version of their song Pushit, on the Salival EP đ
I know your normal style or reaction won't pick up on it, but MJK a changes the arrangement of the lyrics ever so slightly, to tell the same story as the album version, from a different perspective, after time has passed (allowing him to see it different in hindsight)
obligatory song requests đ
