I love that even though it's the same song with the same lyrics, both versions have significantly different emotional tones. In the first one, he's pretty much making fun of his addiction, it's like a joke to him, even though it's probably ruining him, he's hiding behind humor and wearing it like a badge of honor. In the second one, he brilliantly captured his true feelings. It's not fun, it's sad, and cold, and dark, and you can keep telling yourself "I'm not this monster, I'm not an addict" it's going to come out someday and it's going to be awful, and it's going to hurt you and the people you love. Incredibly well done masterpiece.
Never heard of them. The first version, though very good, reminded me of 80's hair metal. But what good hair metal could have been. But the newer version was epic! Truly, epic!

This is a mini movie.. Ronnie is so AMAZING. This video was dedicated to the late Derek Jones his guitar player.

This was an excellent reaction! I just stumbled upon it so I’m going to check out what else you have. To me, this song is about addiction, lyrics like “it’s coursing through my veins “ “chemical daze” “when did I become so cold” etc. To me, the original is the unapologetic, party animal rockstar, having fun. But in denial.. “I’m not an addict”/“I’m not a vampire “. In it he’s not thinking about what impact his addictions/lifestyle has on his life and on others. The revamped to me is a more mature look back at his addiction and how he didn’t think he was a monster but in reality he truly was and Saraya (his irl girlfriend) a representation of how much he hurt those around him. In the video, when she walks in on him, he runs away ashamed. She kills herself in sadness over the monster she discovered he is. But then he turns her (her purity) into the very thing he is ashamed of about himself. When the Lynch mob comes, I think he’s giving up because he acknowledges how much he’s hurt those around him that he loved the most (like his girlfriend that he turned). BUT... I think it’s also a love story and I think it’s to pay homage to Derek Jones (dedication to him at the end of the video) and Derek’s fiancé who both died last year. Derek was his longtime friend and the guitarist for Falling In Reverse. Anyway, that’s just my take on it. I’m so sorry about writing you a book!

I’m not a Vampire ReVamped is so far ahead of the original, that’s it’s a completely new and very different experience. The first song is “ok” to me. The second is a massive opus that never fails to give me chills. It highlights all of Ronnie’s singing talent and screaming talent. It blew me away the first time I heard it, I instantly knew I loved it. Ronnie is one massively talented guy.
I like how the curtains look like cigarette packaging...a subtle hint about addiction. Also, the one guy just standing there amid the dancing chaos at the end eating a sandwich...lol I could write a novella on how good the revamped version was though!!!
First song is a deception, for whatever reason. It's the clown hiding his pain with face paint and funny antics, while hinting at the pain with the single painted on tear. The revamped version lets you connect to lyrics with it's frustration, anger, self-loathing and despair. It's why the song's climax leaves so many struggling to find words for a few seconds at the very least.
