This one is quite devastating. Fine for you obviously, its never upset you, but for me the pride and connection that you feel holding your baby together, touching your foreheads together over your new child, truly one of the greatest moments of my life. And having my husbands hand in mine while his children came into the world as well.

According to the Torah, you are in a state of Niddah for:
*7 days once your menstrul cycle starts (Lev 15:19)
      * if your menstral cycle goes beyond that 7 days, continue until your cycle stops and then count 7 more days (Lev 15:25, 28)
*if you give birth to a son, 40 days (Lev 12:1-4)
*if you give birth to a daughter, 80 days (Lev 12:5)
I'm not sure if it is oral law or the Talmud, but Jews observe the law of niddah for 14 days. I'm not sure if the jews follow different rules than those above after giving birth.
I gave the direct scritpure in Leviticus above. But if you read between those verses for more details, you can see that you are allowed touch a woman when she is in Niddah. But if you do, you will be ceremonially unclean until evening (uncleanness is not sin. Many things make you temporarily unclean).
You Can Not have sex during Niddah! That is a hard rule!
P.s. this is all simplified. You can read the chapters above for more information.

So I understand from a previous video that you made that the woman is in a state of niddah during her period to respect the "loss of life" and it is not because she is impure, So why is it that you have to be in a state of niddah when life is brought into the world?

    • @swiftsetrider4543

A decrease in holiness causes impurity. Life is sacred so the loss of that or its potential (via seminal emissions or menstruation) causes impurity, and the introduction of new life is even more holy so when that is finished, there is a decrease in holiness compared to during the process of birthing.

The greater the potential for life, the greater the holiness. When that potential for life leaves in the form of the menstrual cycle, or in this case the actual baby has left, her spiritual impurity increases. Niddah is only blood flowing from the womb and no where else.
So, for instance, if a woman cuts ✂️ her hand and there is blood, she is not Niddah. In a nutshell, virginity blood isn't Niddah, it doesn't emanate from the womb
