- With Phantom coming out soon in Global, I decided to make this shitty Katana Phantom guide. I forgot to film Phantom Time but that's not really important. Also on 11/4, maintenance got extended for God knows how long so I couldn't catch up the clips.

If Guard Frames are not the same with I-Frames, then I meant I-Frames.
The markers also apply for all Phantom weapons.
Additional tip: Make sure you put Phrase Decay on your weapons. This augment is a SAF from the upcoming Basilis/Basilisk weapons.

Honestly if you see this and can actually respond you’re the best but, I’ve been playing katana and loving it due to your guide and I was just wanting to ask you for any suggestions on affixes for my lib katana, I’d really appreciate it ❤️
You can use S4: Vampiric Strike/Lifesteal Strike with Lib Gunblade S5 SSA/SGA because the lifesteal will stack so that's 60 hp per hit.

L/Ph Lock-On Bomb allows you to detonate your markers on the locked-on part which is great if your enemy keeps moving. Same goes for L/Ph Marker Bomb which allows you to put markers on one part and detonate it there even though you hit the Charged WA on a different part. L/PH Lock-On Bomb is easier to use though. L/Ph Step Shift turns your PAs into Shift versions after doing a Step/Dash. Not really good for how I play Katana Phantom. Might work for other weapons. I don't like using Effort Symbols/Valor Emblems because regular Crit rings give more crit chance and damage.

Well, any of the other two would be greatly appreciated but for me, I'd personally like to see Phantom's Rod as its what I've been looking forward to play since the PC launch.
First of all thank you for this guide. Katana Phantom seems to get ignored a lot but I personally love it's play style.
Also it would be great to hear your thoughts on the Lord of Thorn skill since I see you put 5 points into it. The common consensus I hear is that it's to keep it at Lvl 3 but I realize that when people talk about Phantom they mean either Rod or Rifle.....so I would like to know how useful that skill is if you mostly just use the Katana.

Just like everyone else, I recommend not exceeding 3 points on Lord of Thorn but I went above that because Katana builds gear quite fast and because I thought that I wouldn't benefit from 1 point in Mark PP Drain or Heal.
@@ParagxnTheFiend Ah I see, I was thinking along the same line as well that Mark Gain skills won't really benefit my play style much. So if I'm understanding this correctly your saying to use Phantom time to mitigate for the lower Mark build up rate if I put more points into LoT correct?
@@sethlight2784 mhm but to be fair, going above LoT 3 is bad because the marker accumulation decrease and the damage increase ratio is whack on 4-6 so best put the rest on either Mark PP or Photon Stream(250pp for max bonus at 1 point, 200pp for max bonus at 5 points)

So I wanted to know which 15star weapon you feel like utilize ph katana more?. I know the higher it goes the less S-abilitys it holds, besides the one with 1-5. Searched everywhere but since katana ph is considered like the "TD" of fi information on it is literally non existent. And almost any jp player i asked on NA they say just go rod&rifle. Have so many questions but no place to get it answered lol
Katana Phantom is PP hungry without Quick Cut. Lightstream/Trailblazer is the go to weapon currently on NA. You can stay Trailblazer until Stil but you can also get Lib since it comes first.
tl;dr: Trailblazer->Lib->Stil->Cras

@@CereaII Precision Will on S1-S3. Precision Will 2 if it will allow it. S1: Petalgleam, S2: Will of the Petalsea 2, and S3: Petalsea Song 2 but that will be on future content. Precision Will is great already.
Edit: If you're lacking funds, you can go Aggresive Will or PP efficiency SSAs
@@ParagxnTheFiend Thank you So much, Ever thought about making a video on how you feel about katana? Like overall? I think a lot of people at this point is just hearing from what others say and its discouraging others to even think on using the weapon in general which sucks. No one is really saying what the main reasons why katana is used less than the other two besides "it does more dmg" and that's annoying
@@CereaII I don't think I'll make a video about it because I highkey don't wanna attract nasty people. I'm honestly disappointed that people will always tell new Phantoms to disregard Katana and/or Rifle because rOD bEsT. Yes, Phantom is certainly made for Techs but Katana and Rifle can carry their own weight as much as Rod does. They make it look like the difference is big enough to make Katana and Rifle unviable. Just play what you want, man. There are no bad classes in the hands of a good player (not saying I am but whatever).

Why would you recommend getting 250pp? I thought 200pp gives max bonus damage. And by crit on ssa, crit chance or crit damage? Nice video 👍
If you have 250 pp, you can get max bonus damage from Photon Stream with 1 point only. To get max damage from Photon Stream with 200 pp, you need to use 5 points. Those 4 extra points could've been allotted to Lord of Thorns, Mark PP Drain, or Mark Heal. You'd actually want 300 pp to fully utilize Phantom's Critical Stream. For SSAs, you'd want Crit damage with 1 Crit chance but you can also go raw damage. I use the Red Petal Flash combo with Mysterious Purpose. Sorry for not explaining everything in the video. @@richardefraim1240 You’d still want attack but if it’s difficult, yeah you can go for more PP. You have the choice of putting more points on Photon Stream though. My tree is in the description for reference.
