The BEST Seared Scallops Ever! Made On The Blackstone

  • I like to follow Gordon Ramsay's approach to making seared scallops where you get your cooking surface as hot as possible. Unfortunately, when you do this in a pan, you don't always get the best of sear because the minute you add the cold food to the pan, it loses heat. So I decided to try making these on my Blackstone 36" griddle, and let me tell you, I may never make them again any other way!
    The sear was amazing and the flavor was beyond excellent. It only took 1-2 minutes to completely cook these scallops. For seasoning, I simply used a little olive oil to start, then I placed salt & pepper on the scallops and then at the end I splashed a little lemon juice on top. Man were they good!

    I bet that smells amazing. It’s nice seeing an American-sized grill getting getting put to use with lush, manicured lawns and picket fences.

    My Wife got me a Blackstone for Christmas and I am looking for healthy recipes.... Scallops is one of the first things to come to mind. I will be trying this with some cauliflower rice and other veggies mixed in.

    The scallops looked great. You need to check you burners though. They where not burning correctly.

    No butter? No high smoke point oil? 1 1/2 minutes for the first side, 1 minute for the other side. Salt/pepper/garlic....come on

    I know I'm a year late to respond But man when you eat you're supposed to chew 15-20 times to enjoy the flavor of the scallops.. don't just chew 4 times and swallow.. enjoy the taste..

    Soy sauce and ketchup Huh? Dude, anyone can cook scallops on a griddle but this is what I’d expect from the International House of Pancakes. Free tip: stick with burgers And for that… lose the griddle .
