All best On the assessment you smash it ⚡️👊
All the best with the assessment - you seem to have prepared very well. Let us know how it goes
Good luck on your napit inspection I'm sure it will be sweet. The interlink core on smokes generally I use some brown sleeving (Black core), blue sleeving for grey (neutral).
No harm in sleeving the black core brown if you like but you don't need to its a 12volt link cable🤷♂️
It's easier to wire up the smokes 1st, then put them up it looks much neater to instead of trying to get all cables in
good luck
Jimbo, I'm just curious how you got on, bud? Got my first Napit assessment next week
Where has thomas gone?? Seems his literally gone into hiding or something
If this is a rented property then you have used the wrong type of Aico alarm. You need to use the 3000 series alarms that have a tamper proof battery. You also need to ensure there is a smoke alarm in the lounge. You can link these all via wireless modules/bases if easier
I am not sure if Napit will pick up on this but it’s a possibility. I recommend sitting the Aico course as I learnt an absolute ton about installing alarms and realised I had been doing it wrong. You also get the title of Aico expert installer when you finish the course which looks good to clients 👍🏻
It’s not a rented property it’s a friends house which he’s just bought
@@jimbotheelectrician3819Ok mate fair enough I thought you mentioned rented property at the start apologies
Do you have the Building Control notice with the Local Authority available for the assessor?
Napit = barber caste 😋🇮🇳 in India
These assessments are complete bollox. Why they do them every year I do not know. My Mrs is a Nurse and only assessed every 3 year. It's all about ticking box's to say we assess our Sparks every year to make sure they're competent. If you were not competent they would've failed you on the first one.
It’s so they can fleece you for more money . After all they are a business and need to keep making a profit.
Yep - why does it have to be every 12 months? It's not like you suddenly become incompetent!
I would only take on site work and then for domestic just do rewires where you can easily bake the cost of the notification into the job.
