its funny that they always say "jalen hurts you have no excuses" as if hurts is out here blaming anyone but himself. he always owns up to a loss wether he had something to do with it or not. i cant stand that nfl media continues to ignore how terrible our defense was and bash hurts as if he wasnt the reason why we won alot of our games last season. if i can recall correctly our defense probably had two good games - vs miami and vs the bucs in the beggining of the year. Even in the games we won. Both times against the commanders the offense put up points and got down the field the defense just kept allowing Washington to come back and made Sam Howell look like a top 5 qb

Kellen Moore...
From what I've heard, Kellen Moore made miracles having the LA chargers AND Dallas Cowboys at top 10 PASSING offenses with a bunch of backups putting up at least 20 pts on avg. That's speaks volumes.
Didn't need Dak when Cooper Rush Went 4-1 starting the year putting up big digits on the score board. Ben Denucci, Andy Dalton and Garrett Gilbert all won games and Dallas just rolled on. Didn't need Dak whatsoever because of the kind of offense they were in by Kellen Moore.
Had the highest offense in all years he was with Dallas.
Anyone who tries to downplay kellen knows they are wrong. Only doing it now because he's the eagles OC.
I'm very optimistic of him being with the eagles, *BUT* , how will this work?
The cowboys know everything about what Kellen does, (or did... hopefully there's stuff new they don't know about). How will that work playing against them?

Eagles fan, and yeah, I really think losing Steich after the SB year was a big reason they collapsed. And Gannon was a much better DC than we gave him credit for.
I give the eagles credit for trying newer coordinators last year, and give them even more credit for letting them go, and going with proven coordinators this year. I think these coordinators could have righted the ship last season with the same roster. With this years roster, anything less than an NFC East title, and making it to the NFC championship (with a very real chance of the SB) I think would be a disappointment.
I could see a 14-3 or 13-4 regular season.
Pretty good summary of the situation in philly. But a couple things to add context: 1. Hurts was playing through a leg injury. He couldnt move and it shows if you watch the games. 2, both coordinators from the superbowl run were poached. The two fired after last season were both new. 3, Brian Johnson only had two plays in his playbook, go-routes and slants, all of it from shotgun. Teams figured it out and Brian Johnson had no answers. 4, Landon Dickerson and Lane Johnson were both pro bowlers, and Lane was also all pro. Mailata was snubbed with top 5 stats. They are still easily a top-5 oline even without kelce. The eagles are the only superbowl contenders in the NFC outside of San Fransisco

The offensive talent is off the charts good. Going to be so fun to watch. It's going to come down to the defense putting the pieces together for us to have real chances at winning the Super Bowl though.

While Hurts hasn’t had a 4K passing yard season yet, the Eagles have historically been stronger in their run game. The only Eagles quarterback to have a 4K+ season was Carson Wentz in 2019. Even with how putrid the offense was last year, Hurts still finished 4th in Eagles history in passing yards with over 3800 in a season.
They'll either be 12-5 or 13-4. They won the offseason by adding Saquon Barkley, CJGJ, and Bryce Huff, then they crushed the 2024 Draft by adding Quinyon Mitchell and Cooper Dejean. WE WILL BE BACK AND THIS TIME WIN IT ALL🦅🦅🦅

This is the year we need to claim the title. Howie put everything in place. We have to establish a consistent work ethic early on in camp. Know your role. Last year won't happen again.

And most people will say Dak throw more ints with Kellen as the OC, and he throw less without him but Dak was forcing most of them if nobody is open Jalen will throw it away or run we will be fine with Kellen i’m telling you and most of the ints was not on the coaching staff or Dak the WRs was just dropping a little of them

I do need to mention that we have Mekhi becton also for right guard he is a former first round and he is way more experienced than Tyler steen. right guard is Tyler steen’s job to lose but ofc we will see who makes the starting roster I just want my Eagles to dominate this year like they did in 2022 I want a nice strong start in week 1 in Brazil with us taking the W it will be a good game either way a lot of people actually have us continuing that downfall from last year but I believe jalen will prove them wrong if Kellen Moore can bring back 2022 hurts I’m all in also some people project saquon to have a CMC impact on the Eagles

Those coordinators are not the ones that took us to the Superbowl. They were both hired as head coaches. Eagles just went with young unproven guys last year and they were both terrible. They went and got two veteran coaches and Moore's one year in San Diego was plagued with injuries so wasn't that he was bad. I think with the players that were brought in thru free agency and draft along with coaching upgrades Eagles will be closer to Superbowl squad than last year. This could be their second 🏆

The problem most fans see in a Super Bowl hangover is poor performance, well thats because most coaches that make it to a Super Bowl get better offers from other teams that want that success. Philly lost both OC and DC, along with many position coaches after the 2023 Super Bowl! Also teams who do play in the Super Bowl are at a disadvantage because they are behind the curve, teams not in the playoffs immediately get to start their hiring and firing process, well the Super Bowl teams are months behind them!
