For Floor, this Tampere concert was such a special occasion since her parents where right there in the audience. A Dutch tv-show was filming/interviewing Floor when the stage was being set up, then right before she went on stage and the day after (when they went into a record store and Floor was greeted by crying fans). Perhaps not for a reaction but for some background knowledge & getting to know Floor better, I highly recommend viewing it if you've not had the chance to do so already. You wondered in the studio reaction whether it was Floor doing the high vocals in the intro. This gave you your answer. There's nothing she can't do. . . including engaging the audience as well as anyone. Thanks!
Well, it was almost a smile 😀 Great concert, Wembley on the same level but I think BA is possibly even better, if only fir the audience. But it also has some older songs, remained by Floor. I have all the albums but still find myself watching live performances when I'm at home. Studio versions are for the car... Nightwish use an orchestra. There is a seventh member of the band, Pip Williams, who transcribes and arranges the orchestral parts and has some freedom to do things as he likes, subject of course to Tuomas' agreement. The orchestral parts are then recorded and used as backing tracks. Pip has been working with the band since the album "Once".
Dude, you picked a great song!!! In my top 3. Nightwish does partner with the London Symphony and with a Choir....I know there is a Children's Choir, and I believe an Adult Choir. I have no doubt that Tuomas controls it from his keyboards! I could be wrong...but others have more inside knowledge than I have. I have to order the Endless Forms Most Beautiful CD next, then Human : | : Nature. I am tired of not having them in my CD Player in my SUV!
Yep, as a consequence from that I'd suggest anything from THE Epica concert they did to celebrate their 10 year anniversary. Be that the few songs they did with Floor as a guest, or just the band, the orchestra and the choir. That was a 3+ hrs concert. Seriously impressive, and an aside, I was there for one of them, sadly not for all of it. I was completely knackered after 2.5 hrs and had to leave the party. This was a Great Concert. Energy level High being in Finland. And Floors Mom and Dad were there. Everyone seemed so Hyped.
