  • How To: Concrete Repair - Freeze Thaw Damage Walking you through the full process to repair your concrete due to freeze thaw damage or anything else for that matter that requires patching. This damage was on my garage concrete as it transitioned to my driveway. I used a product from Mapei and is called Mapecem QuickPatch. It was easy to use and flowed well into all the small areas. It is very sticky and I can see how it creates a really good bond with the old concrete. It does have a tendency to stick to your trowel when finishing it so you need to keep your tools clean and rinse them often to get the finish just right. Let me know in the comments section bellow if you have any questions!

It almost looks like water damage. Do you have an overhang? Also is it pitched properly? Almost looks like pitched in the wrong direction.

It is freeze thaw damage. We have overhangs but the snow melts off the cars, flows to the garage doors. Probably soaks into the concrete and then freezes popping it up.
