@@ekifi I'd say Pixel 2/3 was peak Pixel. Pixel beats out Samsung in battery life but Samsung wins in display quality and processor. Pixel isn't the camera king anymore so I'd say camera comes down to preference.

Honestly as an android lover my issue with iPhone people is two things. One your comparing one phone to a whole pool of different brands. Samsung google etc. The other problem I have is there weird obsession of hating Android. Not in the sense of the tech is better but that it's popular and more fashionable. Most people I know can't tell me the difference between Android and iPhone besides layout and FaceTime. FaceTime is cool but it's the only upper hand that they really have

Imessage is apples claim to fame. They lose that and FaceTime, their sales would plummet downwards like an avalanche . Social conformity is largely how apple succeeds so much in countries like the united states.

The only argument to using iphones ever is the proprietary software. The hardware sometimes but it's mainly the software. Especially the speedy texts you can get.

I really love my iPad, but when it comes to phones, I'd prefer an Android any day.
iPads are good but i think Samsung Galaxy S tablets are even better now. Lower latency, better pen (included), and Dex mode is great

Initially, I was really planning to buy Tab S7 FE, but then I saw iPad Air 4, which was cheaper. So I went for that.

I prefer iOS and I love my iPhone, but Android, not as a software, but as a platform, has several advantages over iOS. There are multiple companies making Android phones and promotes competition between themselves and Apple. I hope to try daily driving both an Apple and an Android (probably Google, Samsung, or Sony) phone like Marques to see which I truly prefer using.
Both systems have different strengths and weaknesses. I think optimizing iOS and Android for what they are best at is the ideal choice (if I can afford it)
Unfortunately the best Android isn't by Samsung nor Sony not even by Google.

iPhones are a designed and curated experience.. for the tasks it was designed to do.
Meanwhile an Android phone can do more things. More flexibility.
I would rather be able to customize the device to my exact liking, rather than feel trapped in Apple's walled garden.
If your an android user, Samsung are the only premium products. Therefore the lock-in is Samsung. Samsun absolutely indeed is a walled garden as well. Much if Samsung products including software is Samsung and or galaxy only compatible.

android is great if you're techy type of guy cause the android price, flagship or not will not matter cause once you unlock the developers mode you can utilize it properly like it is made only for you plus the special features of that phone.
It is wrong thinking that Android is only for tech savy, Android phone are more easy to use than iphones. My mom learned Android phone easy than iPhone....Android is far ahead in tech compared to iOS..years ahead..

To be totally objective he should switch pockets and see whether his preference changes, but he was pretty specific about how either was better at different tasks, so I don't think it would. The choice of sides is probably the effect of the preference, not the cause.

For people who are tech enthusiasts and like customisations, interested in lots of gimmicks, messing around with the settings (someone like me), Android is a must.

He may also recommend it to his whole family because it is easier for older relatives and those not so technologically savy to use instead of constantly trying to teach them how to use Google Meet for family group video calls and messaging etc. You have to put those you love on a platform that's easier for them even if you would prefer Android yourself as he said he does; but he uses both because they both have their own advantages. I use two androids everyday and an iPhone because I need both operating systems and functionality, and an iPad also i rarely use my laptop 💻. 😅😂😂. I got my elderly mom on an android because she is a "killer of phones" and I ain't going to keep replacing no $1000 flagship phone when a big budget phone can meet her needs, just as well.

I tried switching to iOS just to make it interesting for myself, and after two months, I went back to android. iOS 16 had so many odd bugs, and the overall user experience was very poor. I can get used to anything, especially in 2 months, but apparently iOS is my limit 😂.

In my country, Android is dominating iPhone, and i have this rich classmate who's really obsessed with iPhones, and keeps saying its better than Android because of the features it has. I mean...yeah...it has some cool features but..why do i feel very overwhelmed? Idk, Android just feels simple, its flexible, and like you said, it feels free! Android is getting slept on, iPhone users always use "Siri" and "FaceTime" as proofs that their better. And...that's probably the only good things it has.

Shocker one of the most influential and smartest tech people prefers Android.
I just want a phone that can do what I want when I want, and respects my privacy. Stock android doesn't do that, but the AOSP and forks like Lineage and Graphene makes that possible. Apple definitely would never in a million years allow that. So I prefer android.
Also, all the messenger incompatibilities between the platforms are 100% apple's fault. Leaked emails show that they considered opening their protocol so everyone could use it, but deliberately didn't to lock people into their platform. They do make good products, but Apple is anti consumer, so I am anti-apple.
